Michael Bay Forced to Apologize for ‘Project Almanac’ Plane Crash Scene

0

Michael Bay apologizes for film’s plane crash scene and will cut it from the upcoming feature film Project Almanac.

Michael Bay has recently apologized for a scene in one of his production company’s new movies, Project Almanac.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

Families of two victims of a real-life 1994 Air Force crash recently expressed dismay to Paramount about a clip from the trailer for the studio’s forthcoming time-travel thriller Project Almanacaccording to the Air Force Times.

The scene shows characters watching footage of a plane crash that the loved ones of Col. Robert Wolff and Lt. Col. Mark McGeehan believe to be footage of the actual B-52 crash that killed the two men.

According to reports, Project Almanac producer Michael Bay said he didn’t realize that the film’s first-time director, Dean Israelite, had used actual footage of a crash instead of CG effects. Michael Bay added that he has asked Paramount to cut the scene from the movie.

“I let film directors make their movies at Platinum Dunes [Bay’s production company] and give them tremendous responsibilities,” Bay said in a statement released to the Times. “Well, unfortunately a very bad choice was made to use a real crash instead of creating a VFX [visual effects] shot, without realizing the impact it could have on the families.”

You can check out the trailer for the movie here:

Majority of the Patriots Supplied Footballs were Underinflated

0

11 out of 12 Patriots-Supplied Footballs were under inflated.

There was a ton of rumors circulating around the world regarding the footballs used during last week’s AFC Championship Game. Now, According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the NFL’s investigation into whether the Patriots deflated footballs during Sunday’s AFC Championship Game has found that 11 out of the 12 balls they supplied were under inflated by two pounds per square inch. It may not sound like a big deal, but NFL rules say that all footballs should be filled between 12.5 and 13.5 pounds per square inch.

While the NFL’s investigation has seemingly found that something was wrong – the league has not commented to the report. Mortensen’s report shows that there are a lot of questions. One of the biggest questions is how the balls became under inflated, since the referees had two hours to check the balls before the game started. And, if it is found that the Patriots tampered with the balls on purpose, we still don’t know what the penalty the league will force on New England.

Leaked ‘Walking Dead’ Spinoff Script Reveals Series Plot Details

0

The Walking Dead Spinoff series details are finally revealed in a leaked copy of the pilot script.

Robert Kirkman has revealed that the upcoming Walking Dead companion series, aka Cobalt will be “very different” from the original series. In fact, he is very serious about how different the show will be. But, besides setting the zombie apocalypse in Los Angeles instead of the Peach State, how will the series be different. Well thanks to a leaked copy of the Walking Dead companion series script, we will get a glimpse of what we can expect.

(Spoilers ahead)

The original pilot script () from the companion series, which is called Fear the Walking Dead, which may or not be the same name of the pilot episode or the original series provides with a few clues.

The Walking Dead Spinoff Script

The most interesting part of the pilot episode, however, is that it goes back to the beginning, before anyone understood exactly what was going on.

Here are some of the parts from the pilot script that give us an idea on the origin story, and the family the show will be following:

The Walking Dead Companion Script 1The Walking Dead Companion Script 2The Walking Dead Companion Script 3

Essentially, nobody knows what is going on and that people have not figured out that zombies like to eat people. The pilot episode will cover basically everything that happened while Rick was in his coma during the pilot episode of The Walking Dead.

This is an extremely different take on the zombie apocalypse and it will be interesting to see how long the companion series will focus on the initial outbreak. Will that be the entire series? Or will the companion series eventually head in the direction of the original The Walking Dead.

Ultimately, it may just be more compelling to explore the days before everything went to hell and people started eating other people. Perhaps there will be a crossover episode where Rick travels to Los Angeles on a horse and saves everything with nothing but a toothpick. I don’t know but, I am really excited for the new Walking Dead spinoff. What do you think? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below!

Johnny Depp Says Actors Making Music is “Sickening”

0

Johnny Depp recently poked fun at actors who try to use their acting career to boost their music career.

Speaking at the Berlin premiere of his latest movie, Mortdecai, Depp didn’t hold back in slamming those of his profession who fancy themselves as musicians. “That whole idea for me is a sickening thing, it’s always just made me sick,” he told reporters.

It is interesting to note that Johnny Depp plays the guitar and has played on the British band Oasis as well as recorded and performed with Marilyn Manson, as he did last November. He also played guitar with the band The New Basement Tapes and was featured in the 2014 Showtime documentary Lost Songs: The Basement Tapes.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

Dabbling with music though is fine, according to the actor. “I’ve been very lucky to play on friends’ records and it’s still going. Music is still part of my life…. But you won’t be hearing The Johnny Depp Band. That won’t ever exist.”

Depp was content with being a low-key musician, and expanded his point of people riding their success to push their music. “The kind of luxury now is, anybody with a certain amount of success, if you have a kind of musical being, you can go out and start a band and capitalize on your work in other areas,” he said.

He added:  “But I hate the idea, ‘Come see me play the guitar because you’ve seen me in 12 movies.’… It shouldn’t be [that way]. You want the people who are listening to the music to only be interested in the music.”

Billy Crystal is Sick of All the Gay Sex on TV

0

Billy Crystal is tired of all of the gay sex scenes on television.

According to The Independent, during a panel on the Television Critics Association this weekend promoting his new FX series The Comedians, Crystal reveals that he is tired of all the gay relationships on television.

Speaking during a panel interview in Pasadena, the actor said: “Sometimes I think: ‘Ah that’s too much for me’.

“Sometimes, it’s just pushing it a little too far for my taste and I’m not going to reveal to you which ones they are. I hope people don’t abuse it and shove it in our face to the point where it feels like an every-day kind of thing,” Crystal added. [via]

Crystal also revealed a lot about his character Jodie Dallas on the series Soap. In the 1980s, Billy Crystal was one of the first ever gay characters on television and for back then he had a more progressive attitude towards homosexuals on TV:

“It was very difficult at the time,” said Crystal. “Jodie was really the first recurring [gay] character on network television and it was a different time, it was 1977. So, yeah, it was awkward. It was tough.”

“I did it in front of a live audience and there were times when I would say to Bob [Seagren], ‘I love you,’ and the audience would laugh nervously. I wanted to stop the taping and go, ‘What is your problem?’” [via]

At the end of the day it sounds like Billy Crystal has no problem with gay characters as long as he is the one playing one. Or maybe old age has changed the way he feels about television.
