‘Loving’ Acting Auditions Casting Call for Principal Roles in Virginia.

Arvold Casting has recently worked on casting the Virginia based projects Turn, Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, Ithaca, Big Stone Gap, Wish You Well, and many others.  Anne Chapman recently cast Shooting the Prodigal, MacBeth, Lincoln, Big Stone Gap, Assassinaut, and frequently collaborates with Arvold.  Sarah Dowling has worked in casting on such films as The Untitled Terrence Malick Project 2015, Mud, and The Tree of Life.

Now this creative team is working with Academy Award nominated filmmakers for the upcoming feature film ‘Loving’. Loving centers around Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple who resided in Virginia in the 1950s, whose love for one another changed history through the landmark 1967 Supreme Court case ‘Loving v. Virginia’.

Virginia Film Office Director Andy Edmunds states, “Working with exceptional filmmakers while highlighting remarkable Virginians and their story is an honor.” And in regards to the open calls, “What a wonderful opportunity for Virginians to participate in this important film.”

Casting directors are now casting principal roles in the upcoming ‘Loving’ movie filming in Virginia.

‘Loving’ Casting Call

Loving centers around Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple who resided in Virginia in the 1950s. Their decision to flout the law and marry changed history through the landmark 1967 Supreme Court case ‘Loving v. Virginia’.

SEEKING THE FOLLOWING PRINCIPAL ROLES:
(Please note the roles of SIDNEY, DONALD and PEGGY are based on historical figures and MUST resemble the photo accompanying the description. Please submit for only one of the age categories listed according to the child’s actual age.)

[2 – 4 year old SIDNEY] Male, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the oldest son of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[5 – 7 year old SIDNEY] Male, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the oldest son of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[8 – 9 year old SIDNEY] Male, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the oldest son of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[2 – 3 year old DONALD] Male, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the second son of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[4 – 6 year old DONALD] Male, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the second son of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[7 – 8 year old DONALD] Male, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the second son of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[3 – 4 year old PEGGY] Female, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the youngest daughter of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[5 – 6 year old PEGGY] Female, Mixed Race (African American, Native American and Caucasian), the youngest daughter of Richard and Mildred Loving.

[PREGNANT GIRL] Female, Caucasian, late teens – early 20s. Very pregnant, she visits a midwife and later has a difficult delivery.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Seeking mothers due in November 2015 – January 2016.

Step Two: Email us at arvoldcasting.lovingfilm@gmail.com .  Include 2 photos — a RECENT close-up of the face as well as a full body shot.  Cell phone pics are not only fine, they are preferred.  We only need to know what you or your child look like right now, the pictures do not need to be fancy.  Experience is not necessary, but if you have any acting or other experience that would be relevant, or just would like to tell us a bit about yourself or your child, please include that in the body of your email.

Use the following SUBJECT HEADING for your photo e-mail (personalized for the person being considered):
