‘USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage’ starring Nicolas Cage is now casting extras in Mobile, Alabama.
According to Variety, Nicolas Cage will star Hannibal Classics’ World War II movie “USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage”. Nic Cage wll play the role of Capt. Charles Butler McVay, whose ship was torpedoed in the South Pacific in July 1945, after delivering parts for the first atomic bombs.
Of 1,196 crewmen aboard, approximately 300 went down with the ship, while the rest faced exposure, dehydration, saltwater poisoning, and shark attacks as they waited for assistance. Only 317 sailors survived and McVay was court-martialed, then exonerated more than half a century later.

Goleman Casting is currently taking submissions for “USS INDIANAPOLIS: MEN OF COURAGE”, which is set to film in Mobile, this summer!!!
Submissions to be considered as an extra in this movie MUST include your name, telephone number, height, weight, as well as a closeup photo and a full body photo. Please make sure photos are in color with no sunglasses and no hats on.
*** Must have a valid Alabama driver’s license.
We are seeking people of all shapes, sizes and ethnicities.
Primary needs are…
*** 18-35 year old males, Caucasian and African American
*** 18-35 year old male amputees
*** Japanese and Chinese individuals
*** Hispanic men
Please note that you may be asked to get a 1940’s military style haircut if selected to be one of the guys on the ship.
***Women submitting need to have hair with no highlights or streaks. Need to have natural hair as they did not have those options in the 40’s.
