Billions,is written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin, Billionsis a fictional drama that takes a forensic look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures – the hard charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis).

‘Roots’ Remake Mini-Series Open Casting Call in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Caballero Casting is now looking for extras to work on the TV mini-series ‘Roots’ while it films in New Orleans, Louisiana.
According to The Verge, A&E Networks is working on the Roots remake. The new mini-series will be a remake of the classic 1997 miniseries that traced a black family’s history from salvery on to the end of the Civil War. The eight-episode series, which has been in the works since 2013, will air simultaneously on The History Channel, A&E, and Lifetime in 2016.

ABC’s New Series ‘Quantico’ Open Casting Call in Montreal, Canada.
‘Quantico’ centers around preventing terrorist attacks with a group of young FBI recruits. “Quantico, from ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Company, has a somewhat sinister theme in light of the recent attacks in France and the fear of terrorist sleeper cells. It centers on a group of young FBI recruits, all with specific reasons for joining, who battle their way through training at the Quantico base in Virginia. As the show intercuts between their hidden pasts and their present training, it also flashes forward to the near future, where one of the recruits will turn out to be a sleeper terrorist responsible for the most devastating terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.”

‘Nurse 3D’ was so bad it ruined Paz De La Huerta’s acting career lawsuit.
Last year filmmakers released ‘Nurse 3D’, which starred Paz De La Huerta as serial killer who finds cheating men and brutally kills them. Some people liked the movie, others took it as a joke but, the movie’s star basically hated it.
As reported by TMZ, Paz De La Huerta has filed a lawsuit claiming that ‘Nurse 3D’ was so bad it has ruined her acting career, and is currently seeking $55 million in damages.
Paz claims she was shooting a scene where an ambulance was supposed to speed by, but it ended up clipping her. Paz says she suffered a spinal fracture and told movie execs she was going to file a worker’s comp claim. That’s all the director needed to hear. According to Paz, he decided she was a pain in the ass so he had a lousy actress dub her voice in the ambulance scene and other scenes as well.
The movie tanked, bringing in a grand total of $5k opening weekend. Critics panned the flick, pointing to Paz’s monotone performance. So she says her career is cooked, and since she was making around $2 million a year, she believes that would total $55 million, plus punitive damages.
And that’s not all. She wants the judge to order the director to re-dub the voice in the movie with hers.

‘Sword in the Stone’ live-action remake is coming soon.
Disney is remaking its 1963 animated movie ‘The Sword in the Stone’ and creating a live-action remake. This time around, ‘The Sword in the Stone’ will be written by Game of Thrones writer-producer Bryan Cogman and produced by Brigham Taylor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
‘Sword in the Stone’ was released before Walt Disney’s death and it is based loosely on T.H. White’s novel of the same name. The Sword in the Stone was a financial success at the box office and became the sixth highest grossing film of 1963. It grossed made over 22 million dollars in the box office.
Rotten Tomatoes argues that 71% of critics gave positive reviews based on 24 reviews with an average score of 6/10. Its consenus states that “A decent take on the legend of King Arthur, The Sword in the Stone suffers from relatively indifferent animation, but its characters are still memorable and appealing.”

Miley Cyrus will host this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
It’s official, Miley Cyrus is set to host this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The pop star revealed the news on social media, posting a selfie in an alien costume wearing a sandwich sign saying, “MTV won’t let me perform” and “So I’m hosting this year’s VMAs.”
Last year’s award show, Miley Cyrus made headlines after sending a homeless 22-year old to accept her video of the year award for her song “Wrecking Ball” as part of a campaign to raise awareness of money and homeless youth.
The MTV Video Music Awards will air August 30th at 9 p.m. on MTV.

‘Vanderpump Rules’ reality star, Jax Taylor was arrested on Friday for stealing sunglasses from Sunglass Hut.
Jax Taylor from Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, was arrested on Friday for allegedly stealing $300 sunglasses at a Sunglass hut in Honolulu, Hawaii. TMZ has the security footage.
In the video, Jax Taylor can be seen picking up a pair of sunglasses and briefly wandering around the store, and then attempts to exit the store. When nothing happens, Jax quietly runs away. According to TMZ, he was quickly arrested at a hotel a block away and charged with a felony, because $300 is the minimum amount for felony theft in Hawaii.
