Is Warner Bros. secretly planning a new ‘Space Jam’ movie with LeBron James?

LeBron James’ venture into acting was a huge hit. In the new movie ‘Trainwreck’ many critics called LeBron James’ acting as believable, interesting, and entertaining and he did all of this without a single acting class. Now, Warner Bros. has signed a major deal with LeBron James to produce new TV shows, movies and digital content featuring the NBA champion.

“LeBron James has one of the most powerful, well-known brands in the world and we are excited to be in business with him and his partner, Maverick Carter, and SpringHill Entertainment,” Tsujihara said. “The combination of LeBron’s global media presence and Warner Bros.’ unmatched production and distribution expertise is a big win for fans everywhere.”

But, here is where things get interesting. According to Alex Weprin, Warner Bros. filed new trademarks for “Space Jam” last month.

The follow up to the 1996 classic, which starred Michael Jordan, has long been rumored. But, this is the first time there have been serious steps in the right direction.

In 2012, LeBron James tweeted at a fan saying he wanted to make a sequel to ‘Space Jam’. “RT @Parletoo: @KingJames do you love space Jam ?(I love that movie. Wish I could do Space Jam 2!)”

‘Space Jam’ is still the highest grossing basketball movie ever with LeBron James in front of the camera expect King James to break another Michael Jordan record.

‘Paper Towns’ star Cara Delevingne shares her best piece of acting advice and how she survived Hollywood auditions.

Cara Dlevingne is Hollywood’s new breakout star. With her first major role in John Green’s new book turned movie ‘Paper Towns’, the actress is on a role with appearances in ‘Tulip Fever’, ‘London Fields’, ‘Kids in Love’, ‘Pan’ and ‘Suicide Squad’.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cara Delevingne shares some interesting acting advice.

Tell us about your audition.

I went into my audition after reading the script and reading the book and falling in love with Margo’s character and really wanting to know everything about her — like, I wish she was my friend in so many ways. I remember being extremely nervous and getting called back for the chemistry read with Nat, which was very surprising because I thought it didn’t go very well. I was very nervous, and in auditions like that I like to embarrass myself a lot and take off my shoes and dance around. I did the audition, and I think me and Nat had really great chemistry. And then it went from there.

You mentioned that you like to embarrass yourself during auditions. How do you feel about auditions?

I don’t think I’ve met anyone who feels very comfortable with auditions. There are some better auditions than some. It’s a bit nerve-racking, and you would kind of hope that your idea of the character is the same as the people doing it. But again, in Hollywood, it’s all about the look as well. If you don’t look the part, they don’t see you in it. It’s terrifying in auditions.

The co-creator of ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,’ Rob McElhenney will direct ‘Minecraft’ Movie for Warner Bros.

The makers of Minecraft are getting a new movie and Rob McElhenney, best known for creating It’s Always Sunny in In Philadelphia is going to direct.

According to deadline, the Minecraft movie that Warner Bros. is developing has just hired their director.

The makers of Minecraft have unearthed a pretty good morsel of movie news. Rob McElhenney, best known for co-creating and co-starring in the long-running FX/FXX series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, has just been selected to direct the Minecraft movie that Warner Bros is developing.

McElhenney is somewhat of a Hollywood legend. After getting sick of doing audition after audition, McElhenney and a group of friends independently shot a few episodes of their sitcom idea, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Alongside Glenn Howerton and Carlie Day, they sold the show to FX after pitching it to several networks.

Warner Bros. bought the rights to Minecraft after the studio made millions off the Lego Movie. The game was created by developer Mojang AB and was acquired by Microsoft for a ton of money. But, it is going to be interesting to see how a game that consists of a group of people creating buildings one block at a time can be transformed into a movie.

Celebrities are making millions of dollars promoting products on Instagram and this is how they do it.

Actors, models, and talent no longer make the millions of dollars they used to. Nowadays, celebrities have to venture outside of the box to make an extra buck. But, with the invention of social media pages such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, celebrities have taken promotion products by storm and people are making millions.

Jessica Simpson signed a $4 million dollar deal to sell Weight Watchers  to her fans and folllowers.

Southern belle Jessica Simpson is widely known for her battles with her fluctuating weight, in particular since having two children. In 2011, Weight Watchers signed a $4 million deal with the popstar to become an ambassador and spokeswoman for the brand, to inspire and motivate other mothers and women who are struggling to lose weight after birth, while pregnant with her first daughter. Now you just need to take a look through her Instagram timeline to see the transformation of the star, who has reportedly lost more than 50lbs with the programme since May 2013 when her second child was born. The star posts a number of very subtle images that flaunt her new figure, advertising just how well the programme works and how much healthier it is to lose weight slowly. [Source]

But, that’s not always a good idea. Celebrity endorsements can even damage a celebrity’s reputation.

Inconsistency in brand endorsement can also be damaging to a brand’s reputation, as well as a celebrity’s. An example of such is ex Made in Chelsea star Caggie Dunlop, who used her Instagram account to promote the latest HTC mobile phone, yet was later snapped using an iPhone hours later. Even fans of the reality star commented on the photos, criticising the lazy nature of the product endorsement. Oopsy Daisy.

According to Jezebel, celebrities are raking in thousands by promoting detox teas, teeth whitening, protein powders and make up.

For instance, earlier this week Kim Kardashian promoted a drug for morning sickness.

You would assume that prescription drug endorsements would violate Food and Drug Administration regulations but, celebrity endorsements are pretty much legal in the United States.

It is hard to deny that it is pretty easy to make money off of Instagram. Even if you don’t have Instagram, you can easily go shopping, call the paparazzi and pretend that you are grocery shopping. Look even Mandy Moore did it.

While it may look like celebrity endorsements on Instagram can be great for branding and marketing online, the misuse of product promotion have made popular celebrities look money hungry, irresponsible and ridiculous. However, that can go both ways. For instance, after Lance Armstrong admitted to cheating, Nike and Livestrong both faced damage to their brands. In addition, when details were revealed that Kate Moss’ suffered a drug addiction, Chanel, Burberty and H&M quickly cut all their ties to her, in fear of causing damage to their image.

According to reports, there was a bidding war between Warner Bros, Sony and Paramount during which major movie studios fought for the rights of an emoji movie. Apparently, Sony Pictures Animation won and the world is getting a movie about emojis! Are you excited? #smileyface

Unlike like, say Lego, there are also no underlying rights here to purchase, which makes this as much a catnip idea to Hollywood as public domain fairy tales that fuel so many blockbusters. I’ve heard that another pitch is going to be shopped shortly, so there might be reason for Sony Animation to move quickly.
