‘Ghost Adventures’ Couple Found Dead in Mysterious Murder

0

Travel Channel’s ‘Ghost Adventures’ couple found dead in a mysterious murder.

Mark and Debby Constantino, who have been found featured on the Travel Channel’s unscripted series have been found dead.

The bodies of a man and women found in a barricaded apartment by police investigating an earlier Reno homicide were an estranged husband and wife who appeared as ghost hunters on the hit TV series Ghost Adventures.

According to reports, Reno police continued their investigation and found that a chain of events led to the death of Mark and Debby Constantino in an apartment complex after killing another man in Reno, Nevada.

Officials are not saying how the three died but said Mark Constantino fired at officers who approached the apartment door.

The Constantinos were featured in recent years on the Travel Channel’s hit TV series, including visiting a brothel in Reno, the Goldfield Hotel and the Market Street Cinema in San Francisco.

The couple were found dead when a SWAT team responding to a hostage situation stormed their adult daughter’s apartment.

From THR:

“The subjects involved in this incident were not shot at or injured by gunfire from any law enforcement personnel,” he said in an email to The Associated Press.

Reno police had responded to a call at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday about a man found dead at a home in northwest Reno where Debby Constantino and another woman had been living. Officers tracked her cell phone to the apartment across town in Sparks.

Police have said little about the Reno killing, but Triplett confirmed Wednesday that the two incidents were “directly related.”

Officers heard several gunshots when they knocked on the apartment door and heard a man yelling at police to leave. The man told the officers, “Give me 15 minutes to gather my thoughts, or I’ll kill her,” Reno Deputy Police Chief Tom Robinson told the newspaper.

Police told the Reno Gazette-Journal that Debby Constantino also was the victim in an earlier kidnapping and domestic incident involving her estranged husband.

Here’s The Hidden Secret to Landing A Role on ‘Survivor’

0

How to land a role on the next season of Survivor.

The casting director behind the hit reality TV series Survivor recently broke down the secret to landing role on the new season. Every season casting directors must filter through thousands of applications of interested, inspired, and motivated Survivor applicants. But, at the end of the day only 18 people are chosen to make it through one of the most grueling casting processes in the industry.

According to an interview with The Hollywood Reporter,  Survivor casting director, Lynne Spillman, revealed what it takes to make it on the hit reality series. Here’s what she had to say:

Do be yourself and take a risk.

Don’t try to be a character. “Don’t try to be the villain if your lifestyle and life choices have been different. Because we will call you out and we will break you,” warns Spillman.

Do study the show before applying, know why you’re going to be good and talk about why you’re a winner.

Don’t be shy or quiet or say that other people tell you that you could never win.

Do get a sales job. Spillman is looking for young people with life experience and social skills. If you’ve never worked a job or still live with your parents, you lose points. Casting wants to know that you have cultivated your people skills in the real world and that you can compete with the big boys or bullies like Russell Hantz.

Don’t talk about your failures. “People make the mistake all the time of saying they’d be perfect because they just got out of school, and they don’t have a job, or they got laid off, so the timing is perfect,” Spillman says. “And they highlight all the negatives about them or the failures as opposed to showing us why they would be successful at a game that’s socially challenging, challenging from a physical standpoint and emotionally draining.”

Do apply every way that you can. “Come to open calls, make a video, apply anyway you can because you never know which one is going to get our attention,” she says.

Don’t wear costumes. [VIA]

You can read the full interview here. It is a definite must-read for any Survivor fan.

Samuel L. Jackson Able to Skip Jury Duty for Being Famous

0

Samuel L. Jackson was dismissed from jury duty because he’s famous.

Samuel L. Jackson reportedly didn’t have to server jury duty because of movie obligations. According to reports, Samuel L. Jackson was dismissed as a prospective juror on Thursday in Los Angeles after he said serving on the case would interfere with his upcoming movie.

The case he would have served on involves a woman who is suing Janssen Research & Development, LLC because, she claims, her schizophrenic son died as a subject of a drug study involving Risperdal.

Judge Fruin said he was inclined to grant Jackson’s request, and the case’s attorneys agreed. Following the hearing, Jackson reportedly said he’d love to serve on a jury when he has more time and said his fellow prospective jurors “were a good group of people.” [via]

I guess another perk to being famous, you get to skip jury duty.
