Netflix and Chill just got more expensive as Netflix will now cast $9.99 month.
Netflix has just raised the price of their standard streaming subscription by $1 a month. The streaming company updated their website on the morning of October 8th to reflect the price hike. Under the new plan, Netflix offers HD video and the ability to stream on as many as two screens at the same time.
Netflix will also offer a basic $7.99 plan that does not include HD and does not allow for streaming on multiple TVs or computers. A premium $11.99 program includes access to Ultra HD video and simultaneous streaming on four screens. However, those plans are not affected by the price increase.
The price hike will only affect customers in the United States, Canada and Latin America which comes after a similar price hike was made for European customers in August.
If you’re already a costumer of Netflix, than you will be given a one-year grace period before their subscription fee increases.
Currently, Netflix has more than 65 million subscribers and is counting on the price increase to help increase the number of original and exclusive movies and TV shows. Netflix announced that the company has plans on spending $5 billion on original content and acquisitions in 2016.
“To continue adding more TV shows and movies including many Netflix original titles, we are modestly raising the price for some new members in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. As a thank you to existing Netflix members — who aren’t already benefiting from a previous price guarantee — we will maintain their current price for a year,” a company spokeswoman said in a statement.
Marvel announces that Ant-Man 2 is coming soon to theaters.
Good news for Ant-Man fans, Marvel Studios’ has just announced that they will produce an Ant-Man and the Wasp, an Ant-Man sequel to the 2015 Paul Rudd feature film.
Thenews means that the “Phase 3” schedule will change for a second time. The first change occurred when Sony’s shared the rights to Spider-Man. This new shift will push back the Black Panther movie from July 6, 2018 to February 16, 2018 and Captain Marvel being pushed out from Nov. 2, 2018, to March 8, 2019.
And Marvel has scheduled three untitled Marvel movies for 2020: on May 1, July 10 and Nov. 6.
Ant-Man, which was directed by Peyton Reed, earned $178.5 million in the U.S. and $231.3 million internationally, becoming the ninth-highest grosser of the year to date domestically. In addition, Ant-Man will be seen in 2015’s Captain America: Civil War.
Ant-Man filmed in the legendary Pinewood Atlanta Studios, which just announced that they will be teaming up with the Georgia Film Commission to expand the upcoming Georgia Film Academy.
Recently, Marvel has called Atlanta the unofficial filming location of all of their movies including Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man, Thor 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.
Last week it was rumored that ratings for Empire dropped due the large amount of gay scenes on the series. Well, Empire aired their third episode of season two and ratings continue to drop.
The season premiere of Empire averaged a 8.7 rating among 18 to 49 after live-plus-three day and 22.5 multiplatform viewers. The second episode, after the same three-day DVR boost, averaged a 7.7 rating in the key demographic and 18 million viewers. And after the third episode the ratings show the ratings continuing to fall.
The drama averaged a 5.0 rating among adults 18-49, off half of a point from last week’s live-plus-same day showing, and 13 million viewers. (Empire, it should be noted, has a tendency to tick up in final same-day ratings.) [The Hollywood Reporter]
Last week, 50 cent, a man known for stirring up controversy, argued that the ratings on Empire dropped due the large number of “gay scenes”on Empire. In a post that has since been deleted, Fifty Cent reposted an Instagram user’s post that pointed out the second episode of Empire had 3 million fewer viewers, blaming int on too many celebrity cameos and too many “gay” plots. “There are 3 million less viewers who tuned into last night’s Empire episode!!!! did you watch it?” it read. “We could not take the extra gay stuff or celebrity stuff last night!!!!”
It will be days before any clear trends show how long viewers start watching Empire, or wether Empire was a Season 1 hit and a Season 2 disappointment.
The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus was discovered after getting drunk at a party in Los Angeles, California
Born in Hollywood Florida, and the oldest of two children. Norman Reedus was later raised in Los Angeles, California despite living in Japan, Span and the UK. One of his first jobs out of high school was working at a Harley Davidson shop in Venice, California and he created his own artwork to various shows as a painter, photographer, sculptor and video artist.

With the return of The Walking Dead on Sunday, Norman Reedus stopped by the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night to promote the new season of zombie drama. It’s a little known fact that Norman Reedus was discovered at a party in Los Angeles while working at a Harley Davidson shop. However, as the story actually goes, Reedus had just been fired from a job he previously had and he decided to drink his pain away. Well, Reedus drank way too much and his drunken yelling attracted casting directors at the party. Initially, he was only asked to be an understudy for one of the main actors of a stage play, but when the guy didn’t show up the night of the premiere, Norman Reedus was thrown on stage.
Since then, he has acted in numerous movies, several web series, done several video game voiceovers, and modeled for various fashion designers most recognizably Prada in the 1990s.

Tyler Perry reveals the home of the new studio in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tyler Perry has revealed that he’s opening a new Atlanta studio, four months after purchasing the previously closed Fort McPherson army base.
Tyler Perry announced his plans through posts on his Facebook and Twitter accounts with a photo of a sign saying “The Future Home of Tyler Perry Studios.”
“4 months ago I bought Fort McPherson Army Base,” he wrote. “It’s the future home of the new Tyler Perry Studios. I’ll keep you posted on the progress, but just know that I’d like to thank all of you. From the 30 people who showed up for my first play 20 years ago, to the millions who stand with me faithfully today, ‘Thank you.’ This dream belongs to all of us. My prayer for you is that everything that you have sewn into my life will come back to you 100 fold. Here we grow again!!!”

Fort McPherson is only five miles away from Tyler Perry’s current studio in southwest Atlanta. Tyler Perry only paid $26 million for the 488-acre property, which was closed in 2011.
The current Tyler Perry Studios was founded in 2006 by the playwright turned actor. The previous facility includes 200,000 square feet of sets, office space, and is expected remain open even after Tyler Perry finishes building the new studio.

Georgia Film Academy is on track to build a powerful workforce for Georgia’s growing film industry.
While other states are trying to figure out to how to get more funding for their failing film industry, Georgia’s businesses are actively investing into the community. As Project Casting pointed out in the past, Pinewood Studios is a pivotal reason why feature films such as Marvel’s Ant-Man, Captain America 3, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 have filmed or are planning to film in Atlanta, Georgia.
With such a large number of productions headed to Georgia, the state needs to provide an adequate number of qualified crew members to support production offices. With programs such as the Georgia Film Academy, major TV shows and movies such as The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games continue to thrive. That’s when Gov. Nathan Deal organized what is now called the Georgia Film Academy.
Pinewood Atlanta Studios architect Bill Foley speaking to the Fayetteville City Council last week said the new Georgia Film Academy would be located in the Pinewood Production Centre, located across Sandy Creek Road from the 288-acre studio complex. Foley said the academy would be opening this summer and would begin operations with 50 students.
Pinewood Atlanta Studios developer Jim Pace said Pinewood has been working with film academy organizers for the past two years. They have indicated that they plan to be located at Pinewood, Pace said.
Pace said Pinewood is in process of working on a Letter on Intent with the Board of Regents, adding that the film academy is a collaborative effort with the University System of Georgia.
Speaking on the idea of having the new film academy located in Fayetteville, University System of Georgia Vice Chancellor for Extended Education Cecil Staton said the Board of Regents is currently involved in conversations pertaining to the site of the Georgia Film Academy.
Now, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Georgia Film Academy will be building a 15,000 square-foot sound stage at Pinewood Atlanta Studios.
The Georgia Film Academy has just signed a letter of intent for 10,000 square feet of classroom space at the world famous Pinewood Atlanta Studios, giving students access to state-of-the art post-production equipment as well as resources to teach aspiring filmmakers the art of film and TV development. In addition, the Georgia Film Academy is in talks to build a dedicated 15,000-square-foot sound stage in order to make professional productions.
When is the newly refurbished state-of-the-art Georgia Film Academy going to be released? Well construction starts within the next six months.
Pinewood Atlanta Studios is the first major partner of the Georgia Film Academy, according to the Film Academy’s director Jeff Stepakoff, who addressed industry members of the Georgia Production Partnership.
Apparently, the Georgia Film Academy will be working not only with the University System of Georgia and Technical College System of Georgia but also major film industry partners, which will give students real experience on “commercially viable projects.”
“We’re looking to make professional quality work,” Stepakoff said at the meeting. “…What we’re doing is akin to a teaching hospital. If you want to get people to work, if you want to get doctors to work you don’t send them off with patients. You have to put them in an environment where they can get real hands-on experience but still be in a teaching environment.”
But, Pinewood Atlanta Studios is not the only film industry partner the Georgia Film Academy is working with. According to Stepakoff, a second industry partner in Georgia is in the works.

“The Georgia Film Academy belongs to all of us; it belongs to the state of Georgia,” Stepakoff said. “It belongs to the people from Dalton, people from Valdosta, people from Savannah and people from all over Atlanta. It belongs to the studios here… the Georgia Film Academy is seeking to work with all institutions as well as industry partners. And a model for that is Pinewood.” Potential film industry partners include HBO, NBC Universal, and AMC. All of these major networks have approached the Georgia Film Academy to work with the growing film industry.
By 2016, the Georgia Film Academy plans to release two pilot programs for two certificate courses to get aspiring filmmakers into the Georgia film industry. “The first semester-long course includes 6 hours a week in classes, plus out-of-class production work. The second semester’s focus is on hands-on workshop training in independent moviemaking. Students will crew an entire film production and spend three hours a week per semester in class, plus weekend production work.” And all of these credit hours will be accepted for degree programs at schools like University of Georgia and Georgia State University.

The new Netflix series Stranger Things is now looking for real firemen and real paramedics to work on an upcoming episode filming on Monday, October 21st in Atlanta, Georgia. Producers are looking for talent that are 18 and older and have real firefighting or paramedic experience.
In the Netflix series Stranger Things, a family and town are rocked after a 12-year-old boy, Will (Schnapp), goes missing. His mother, Joyce (Ryder), siblings (Dyer and Heaton), and friends continue to seek answers, along with the town’s chief of police (Harbour). Will’s best friend, Mike (Wolfhard), is particularly determined to save his friend, and along the way, he encounters a girl with special abilities (Brown) and gets help from Dustin (Matarazzo) and Lucas (McLaughlin). Supernatural forces come into play as a mystery involving top-secret experiments unravels.

Guitar Male- Should be able to play guitar and sing. Must be comfortable being intimate (holding hands, cuddling, light kissing) for the shoot

Tracy Morgan’s Fist Fight casting call for teachers in Atlanta, Georgia.
Extras Casting Atlanta is looking for teacher types, men and women in their 30’s to 50’s to work on an upcoming scene filming on Thursday, and Friday this week in Atlanta, Georgia for the upcoming feature film Fist Fight.
Fist Fight stars Charlie Day, Ice Cube and Tracey Morgan. Charlie Day plays a mild-mannered English teacher who is put to the test when a colleague (Ice Cube) who thinks he is trying to get him fired challenges him to a fist fight after school. According to Deadline, Richie Keen will direct ‘Fist Fight’. Richie Keen has directed short films and such TV series as Showtime’sShameless and FX’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadephia, which stars Day. Sam Brown and Dave Neustadter are the New Line execs on the project.

Raven Simone says she was forced to wear a fat suit on ABC Family show because she was lost too much weight.
Raven-Symone dropped a major bomb on an episode of The View on Monday, September 28th. While the co-hosts were discussing the pressure some women feel to lose weight, the actress revealed her own personal body-shaming issues.
“You don’t even know what I went through,” the That’s So Raven actress, 29, said. “On State of Georgia, they had me wear a fat suit. Because they said I wasn’t the size they wanted me to be.”
Prior to landing on the talk show, the newest co-host of The View lost a ton of weight in real life, which is why she was forced to wear a fat suit, she explained. She also shared that her decision to lose weight came after people frequently body-shamed her about her size.
“When I was at my heaviest, like 185 pounds, people would be like ‘Are you pregnant? Are you pregnant? and I’m like, ‘No, I’m fat, get away from me.’ This goes through all of our industry, just fat-shaming in general. Not accepting of females’ bodies.”
The former Disney Channel also joked about how different it is for women and their bodies now in the entertainment industry. “I feel like when I lost my weight, like big-girl season came,” Symone said. “There’s so many big girls that are now famous.”

Vin Diesel shows his softer side as the actor gains a ton of weight.
Vin Diesel became famous for his big muscles and deep voice. But, it looks as though the tough guy Vin Diesel may be revealing his softer side in Miami. The 48-year-old actor took his shirt off in Miam, Florida and it looks as though Vin Diesel is not as fit as he used to be.
The actor, who is best known for kicking ass and taking names in the Fast & Furious franchise films, has apparently gained a few pounds as he is taking a break between making movies.
Wearing only shorts, Vin Diesel looks like he has awoken from a deep sleep. The star first became famous after starring in the Australian feature film Pitch Black fifteen years ago, where he played a killer and prisoner stranded on a dangerous alien planet.
Vin Diesel recently announced he was reprising his role as Xander Cage from the hit feature film franchise series xXx. His character is a stuntsman for feature films and movies who becomes a spy for the National Security Agency who is then sent on a dangerous mission to take on Russian terrorists.
He told his Facebook followers the following:
‘While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel…
‘The time to return has come. Filming starts December in the Philippines.#ILiveForThisS***.’
Maybe the actor is getting into character for his next movie by gaining the extra pounds.
Since working on xXx he had only starred in one of the Fast & Furious films, which have a total of seven movies and an eighth on the way.
Most recently, it was rumored that Vin Diesel was meeting with directors to work on the upcoming Furious 8 movie after several movie directors quit due to allegedly finding Vin Diesel “difficult” to work with.
