‘Game of Thrones’ Cast To Get Paid $500,000/Episode

The cast of Game of Thrones are expected to get paid $500,000 per episode.

Game of Thrones is one of the most popular shows on television. As soon as an episode hits the internet, millions of people tune in legally and what happens in the medieval drama. So it only goes to show that the cast of the Game of Thrones get a larger paycheck.

According to Deadline.com, “Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke(Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) will all be paid north of $500,000 an episode for Season 7″. That’s an increase of nearly 100%, as the cast was originally paid $300,000 per episode for Season 6.

I hear mainstays Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke(Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) will all be paid north of $500,000 an episode for Season 7, which has been officially picked up, and Season 8, which is widely expected. HBO has not specified the size of the order for Season 7, but speculation has been that both Season 7 and Season 8 would be shorter than the standard for the show 10 episodes, possibly seven episodes (Season 7) and six episodes (Season 8).

However, a larger paycheck does not mean the entire cast will survive until the end of Season 7. In fact, the last episodes are yet to be written.

Based on the Jack Reacher book series, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back features Cobie Smulder, Danika Yarosh, Austin Hebert, Patrick Heusinger, Aldis Hodge, Robert Knepper and Holt McCallany.

HBO Cancels NYC Filmed ‘Vinyl’

HBO cancels Vinyl after only one season.

After a promising first season, HBO has decided to pull the plug on the Rock & Roll drama, Vinyl. According to reports, HBO originally decided to renew Vinyl however, the premium cable network has decided not to move forward on another season.

“After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season ofVinyl,” HBO said in a statement. “Obviously, this was not an easy decision. We have enormous respect for the creative team and cast for their hard work and passion on this project.”

According to Deadline, the show’s second season did not come to an end due to creative future of the project as “no scripts for Season 2 had been delivered.” But, was most likely canceled due to the lack of ratings. “Vinyl didn’t launch in the way we were hoping it would; it’s disappointing, but it happens,” HBO’s outgoing head of programming Michael Lombardo told Deadline last month. In fact, the show had an extremely large budget but had less than a million viewers on a weekly basis.

Without HBO’s Vinyl, HBO’s new programming chief, Casey Bloys, will have additional funding for a new TV series.

However, it’s disheartening to learn that a show, which has been in development for 20 years, is coming to an end.

Vinyl centers around  Cannavale’s Richie Finestra, a record exec trying to build a record label and find the next new sound. Olivia Wilde is set to play Devon Finestra, Richie’s wife and former actress/model who attempts to deal with the Richie’s crisis as it causes strain on their family and relationship. Martin Scorsese is set to direct the pilot, which is written by Terence Winter of “The Wolf of Wall Street” and George Mastras from “Breaking Bad” with Mastras working as the show runner.

Facebook is Now Paying Celebrities to Use Facebook

Facebook has agreed to pay celebrities to use Facebook.

A study was released that fewer and fewer people were using social media. In fact, the number of people spending time on social media has decreased significantly; Twitter (down 23.4 percent), Snapchat (down 15.7 percent) and Facebook (down 8 percent).

According to reports, Facebook has agreed to pay more than 140 celebrities and media companies including CNN, the New York Times, BuzzFeed, Kevin Hart, Deepak Chopra, NFL player Russell Wilson, and Gordon Ramsay to use Facebook Live, the live-streaming feature the company is investing heavily in.

It’s interesting to point out that Kevin Hart is the highest paid celebrity to use Facebook.

The value of individual contracts varies widely, with 17 worth more than $1 million, according to the document. The highest-paid publisher is BuzzFeed, slated to receive $3.05 million for broadcasting live between March 2016 and March 2017. Just behind BuzzFeed is the New York Times, which is to receive $3.03 million for a 12-month deal. CNN is third, with a $2.5 million contract.

Facebook wants to bring the most popular celebrities and media companies closer to their billion users. Why spend all that time going to Russell Wilson’s twitter page, when you can watch him on Facebook live?

Then, the longer we’re on the Facebook site, the more money Facebook makes selling data and showing advertisements.

According to Indian Express, Filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali is working with his younger brother Sajid Ali, whose first directorial film — Banana — produced by John Abraham Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, will release by next year. The young director is now working on a film inspired by the Laila-Majnu folk-lore. It is being produced by Balaji Telefilms and Imtiaz Ali’s ex-wife Preety Ali.

Sajid, who is in the process of scripting the story, says that his elder brother had discussed this idea with him long ago. “Even before I had joined films, somebody else (Ravi Jadhav) was to direct it. However, because of various reasons, the film didn’t kick-off at that time,” says Sajid also adding that by the time the details of the film were finalised, he had shot a large part of Banana. “My brother and sister-in-law (Preety) watched few portions and liked it and the film came to me,” says Sajid.
On questioning if he is taking reference from any of the old films made or books written on the story, he says, “I am relying mostly on the folk-tale and trying to fit in my own take into it.”
Sajid says that since the script is still in the initial stages, the actors haven’t been finalised. “We will start the process of casting once the script is ready,” he says and adds that his elder brother is guiding him throughout the writing process. “What is worrying everybody is that I am taking so much time in writing it.”

Will Smith Reveals How to Become Famous in 2016

Will Smith gives an eye-opening interview on Hollywood marketing and it’s pretty inspiring.

Will Smith is one of the biggest Hollywood actors in the game. His movies have audiences around the world leaving their homes to see what Will Smith is up to next.

In a recent discussion at the Cannes film festival, Will Smith discussed his acting career and how marketing movies has changed in the last 20 years.

“I realized that it’s also true in the marketing of movies. Back in the ’80s and ’90s you had a piece of crap movie you put a trailer with a lot of explosions and it was Wednesday before people knew your movie was shit,” Smith said. “But now what happens is 10 minutes into the movie, people are tweeting ‘This is shit, go see Vin Diesel’.”

Smith points out that audiences are quickly sharing their thoughts, opinions and ideas all of the time. Previously, Hollywood could make a bad movie and people would still go and see it. Nowadays, fans visit Rotten Tomatoes, search Twitter, and read Facebook posts before they decide to spend $20 dollars on a one-hundred and 29 minute movie. And, Will Smith now understands this. However, Smith pointed out that in the past he considered himself a product that could be processed, transformed and sold as a global domestic product.

“I had so much success that I started to taste global blood and my focus shifted from my artistry to winning. I wanted to win and be the biggest movie star, and what happened was there was a lag — around Wild Wild West time — I found myself promoting something because I wanted to win versus promoting something because I believed in it.”

It’s interesting to point out that Will Smith points out that Wild Wild West was the lowest point in his acting career despite, the movie earning $222 million internationally and it’s not his most recent movie Concussion, which flopped in the box office. Either way, Smith says “Smoke and mirrors in marketing and sales is over. People are going to know really quickly and globally whether a product keeps its promises,” he said.

“I consider myself a marketer. My career has been strictly being able to sell my products globally, and it’s now in the hand of fans. I have to be in tune with their needs and not trick them into going to see Wild Wild West.”

Selma Blair reportedly carried off of plane on stretcher following outburst.

Actress Selma Blair from the hit movies and TV shows Wild Things, The People v. O.J. Simpson and Legally Blonde was rushed from an international flight to a nearby hospital after an outburst.

According to reports, Blair was returning from Cancun, Mexico with her four-year-old son, Arthur Saint, when she began crying and started discussing physical abuse at the hands of an unnamed man.

“He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink,” she said, according to witnesses. “He beats me. He’s going to kill me.”

According to sources close to People, Blair, had consumed several mixed alcoholic drinks and prescription medications, though the prescriptions themselves are not known.

Two nurses were also on the same flight watched over Blair for the remained of the flight and searched her bag for pills. She was removed by a stretcher as soon as the plane landed in Los Angeles and taken to a local hospital.

Michael Jackson had a collection of “animal sacrifice” and “child torture”.

Police reports reveal that the late Michael Jackson had a large collection of pornography and violent images, “animal torture, S&M, and gore” at his Neverland Ranch.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department discovered this material over fifteen years ago, when Jackson was investigated for child sexual abuse. He had in his possession photos and videos of both children and adults in “perverted positions,” as well as “drugs to treat sex addiction, with multiple prescriptions written by a variety of physicians for people close to the star.”

The images were allegedly used to arouse the boys Jackson entertained at Neverland. One private investigator reported that the multi-platinum record selling artist even had “sexy” photos of his nephews.

In addition, one source claimed that Jackson also kept “sexually explicit images of animal sacrifice…[and] shocking images of child torture.”

It’s important to point out that Michael Jackson was charged with child molestation in 2003, although he was later acquitted two years later. Jackson paid $200 million in “hush money” to at least 20 different people.

Former Santa Barbara Senior Assistant District Attorney Ron Zonen, who was involved in the case against Michael Jackson, argues, “There’s not much question in my mind that Michael was guilty of child molestation.”

–NEED CHINESE-SPEAKING HOST FOR LIVE BROADCAST TO CHINA: PAYS $1,000–

We’re looking for men and women fluent in Mandarin Chinese to host a live, 1-hour internet video broadcast for a fitness & health company on July 4.

The production will broadcast live from Pittsburgh to China.

The host will primarily deliver dialogue from a Chinese-language script, but with room to ad-lib during the 60 minutes. There will be interactions in English as well.

There will be a rehearsal on July 3 and on one additional day prior to the broadcast.
