Matt Damon Says There Was “No Special Treatment” on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey Set

0

Key Takeaways

Matt Damon says there was “no special treatment” on the set of The Odyssey.
The Christopher Nolan film features a major ensemble cast of Hollywood stars.
Damon said everyone faced the same difficult conditions while filming at sea.
The actor praised the equal-footing atmosphere on set, including Nolan’s hands-on approach.
The Odyssey is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17.

Matt Damon Opens Up About Filming The Odyssey

Matt Damon is sharing new details about what it was like to film Christopher Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey.

The Oscar-winning actor is part of a star-studded ensemble cast, but according to Damon, fame did not come with special treatment on set.

Speaking with People, Damon explained that everyone involved in the production dealt with the same demanding conditions, especially during scenes filmed on the water.

For Damon, the experience showed how Nolan runs a set where every cast and crew member is expected to be fully committed to the work.

Why Nolan’s Set Put Every Actor on Equal Footing

Despite the film’s high-profile cast, Damon said there was no hierarchy when it came to the challenges of production.

The actor made it clear that no one was shielded from the difficult shooting conditions simply because of their status.

“If you’re out on a boat in the middle of the ocean and you get caught in a storm, you get wet with everybody else,” Damon said.

He added that no one was receiving special comforts that others were not getting.

According to Damon, the atmosphere on set made everyone feel like they were part of the same mission.

Filming at Sea Created Real Challenges for the Cast

Damon’s comments suggest that The Odyssey was not an easy production.

Since the film adapts Homer’s legendary epic, water-based sequences were expected to play a major role in bringing the story to life. That meant cast and crew had to deal with unpredictable weather, difficult physical conditions, and the demands of working on the ocean.

For actors, those types of environments can be especially challenging.

Performances must continue even when conditions are uncomfortable, and scenes often require a high level of focus, patience, and endurance.

Damon’s remarks show that the cast had to embrace the reality of the setting rather than rely on comfort or convenience.

Christopher Nolan Faced the Same Conditions as Everyone Else

Damon also praised Nolan for being right there with the cast and crew during the toughest moments.

According to Damon, Nolan was “just as cold and wet as everybody else” throughout the process.

That detail says a lot about Nolan’s approach as a filmmaker.

Rather than directing from a distance, Nolan was physically present in the same conditions as his actors. For performers, that kind of leadership can help build trust and unity on set.

It also reinforces the idea that The Odyssey was treated as a true ensemble effort, both in front of and behind the camera.

What Damon’s Comments Reveal About Ensemble Filmmaking

Damon’s comments offer a behind-the-scenes look at how major ensemble films can succeed.

When a production features several well-known stars, it can be easy for attention to shift toward status, billing, or individual treatment. But Damon’s description suggests that The Odyssey operated differently.

Everyone was expected to show up, face the same conditions, and do the work together.

That kind of atmosphere can be especially important on large-scale films, where trust and teamwork are necessary to keep the production moving.

For actors, it is also a reminder that professionalism matters at every level of the industry.

Why The Odyssey Is Already One of Hollywood’s Most Anticipated Films

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is already generating major attention.

The film brings one of literature’s most famous stories to the big screen with Nolan’s signature large-scale filmmaking approach. With Damon among the cast and Universal backing the project, expectations are high.

Nolan has built a reputation for ambitious productions, practical filmmaking, and intense attention to detail. Damon’s comments suggest that The Odyssey continues that tradition.

The film is set to arrive in theaters on July 17, making it one of the major theatrical releases to watch.

What Actors Can Learn From Damon’s On-Set Experience

Matt Damon’s experience on The Odyssey offers a useful lesson for actors at every stage of their careers.

Even on a massive studio film with A-list talent, the work still comes down to commitment, preparation, and teamwork. Damon’s comments show that no actor was above the conditions of the shoot, and no one received special treatment when the production became difficult.

That mindset is valuable for performers working on any set.

Whether it is an independent film, a commercial, a television series, or a major blockbuster, professionalism means showing up ready to do the work alongside everyone else.

For Damon and the cast of The Odyssey, that equal-footing approach appears to be part of what made the production so memorable.

Former James Bond Casting Director Weighs In on 007 Frontrunners

0

Key Takeaways

Former James Bond casting director Debbie McWilliams has shared her thoughts on the current 007 rumors.
Callum Turner, Harris Dickinson, and Jacob Elordi have all been linked to the role.
McWilliams said she does not want to see any of the three actors as James Bond.
She believes the next Bond should be someone with a lower public profile.
McWilliams warned that playing 007 is one of the toughest jobs in acting.

Debbie McWilliams Shares Her Thoughts on the Next James Bond

The search for the next James Bond continues, and one of the franchise’s most experienced casting figures has now weighed in.

Debbie McWilliams, the former James Bond casting director who helped cast 13 Bond films, has shared her verdict on the actors currently rumored to be in the running for 007.

Amazon MGM Studios is now overseeing the franchise and is looking for a new actor to replace Daniel Craig, who ended his run as Bond after 2021’s No Time To Die.

Recent reports have linked Callum Turner, Harris Dickinson, and Jacob Elordi to the role. However, McWilliams is not convinced any of them are the right choice.

Why the Reported 007 Frontrunners May Not Fit the Role

Speaking with The Independent, McWilliams said she would not choose Turner, Dickinson, or Elordi as the next James Bond.

Her reasoning comes down to mystery.

According to McWilliams, the actor who plays Bond must retain a sense of enigma. She believes audiences should know as little as possible about the person behind the role so they can fully believe in the character.

“It is absolutely essential that he retains a total enigma,” McWilliams said.

She added that the public already knows too much about the rumored frontrunners, which could make it harder for them to disappear into the role.

The Next Bond Actor Needs Mystery

For McWilliams, James Bond works best when the actor feels unknowable.

She explained that Bond is a spy, and the actor playing him should carry some of that same mystery. Audiences do not need to know every detail about where the actor shops, who their parents are, or where they live.

That level of public exposure can work against the character.

Bond has always been defined by control, danger, sophistication, and secrecy. If the actor’s real-life image becomes too familiar, it can weaken the illusion.

McWilliams believes the next 007 should feel fresh, unexpected, and not overexposed.

Why Believability Matters for James Bond

McWilliams also stressed that the next actor must be believable as someone licensed to kill.

The role is not only about wearing a tuxedo, delivering one-liners, or appearing in action scenes. The audience has to believe that Bond is capable of doing the dangerous work the character is known for.

“If you don’t, then you’ve lost the audience,” McWilliams said.

That is why casting Bond is different from casting many other franchise roles. The actor must bring charm, physical presence, emotional control, and a sense of danger all at once.

For casting directors, that makes the decision especially difficult.

McWilliams Wants a Surprise Choice for 007

Rather than choosing one of the heavily rumored names, McWilliams said she would prefer to see the role go to someone “completely out of the blue.”

That approach would follow a long Bond tradition of surprising casting decisions.

Before Daniel Craig became one of the most acclaimed Bonds in franchise history, his casting was met with skepticism by some fans. Over time, Craig’s performance helped redefine the character for a new generation.

McWilliams’ comments suggest she believes the next Bond should have a similar opportunity: someone unexpected who can make the role their own without the baggage of constant public attention.

The Demands of Playing James Bond

McWilliams also warned that actors hoping to become Bond should understand just how demanding the job really is.

She described the role as incredibly hard work, requiring actors to give up years of their lives while training, filming, promoting, and carrying one of cinema’s most famous franchises.

According to McWilliams, Bond actors often face intense physical demands, with cast members breaking bones and working long hours throughout production.

She said the role requires total commitment and leaves little room for a personal life during filming.

For actors, becoming James Bond may sound glamorous, but McWilliams made it clear that the reality is exhausting, high-pressure, and not suited for everyone.

Why the Next 007 Casting Decision Matters

The next James Bond will define a new era for one of the most recognizable film franchises in the world.

With Amazon MGM Studios now guiding the future of 007, the casting decision will be closely watched by fans, critics, and the entertainment industry.

McWilliams’ comments highlight why the role remains so difficult to cast. The next Bond cannot simply be famous, stylish, or popular online. The actor has to feel dangerous, mysterious, and believable as a spy.

Whether the studio chooses a familiar name or a complete surprise, the next 007 will carry enormous expectations — and the future of the franchise may depend on getting that choice right.

Johnny Knoxville Recalls Helping “Kidnap” Brad Pitt for Iconic Jackass Stunt

0

Key Takeaways

Johnny Knoxville recalled helping “kidnap” Brad Pitt for a memorable Jackass stunt.
The stunt took place outside Pink’s Hot Dogs in Los Angeles.
Brad Pitt reportedly agreed to the skit immediately and did not need much convincing.
The scene aired during Season 3 of the original MTV series.
Knoxville shared the story as Jackass: Best and Last prepares to close out the franchise.

Johnny Knoxville Looks Back on Brad Pitt’s Surprise Jackass Cameo

Johnny Knoxville is looking back on one of the most unexpected celebrity cameos in Jackass history.

The 55-year-old daredevil recalled how Brad Pitt agreed to take part in a stunt that involved him being “kidnapped” outside the famous Pink’s Hot Dogs restaurant in Los Angeles.

The moment became one of the MTV show’s most memorable celebrity appearances and showed just how willing Pitt was to jump into the chaos of Jackass without overthinking it.

Knoxville shared the behind-the-scenes story as the franchise prepares to release its final installment, Jackass: Best and Last.

How the Brad Pitt Kidnapping Stunt Came Together

According to Knoxville, Pitt’s appearance was originally planned around a completely different idea.

The team had intended to film a bit called “Night Monkeys,” where cast members dressed as gorillas and caused trouble around town. Pitt was supposed to appear at the end by lifting his head, revealing himself to the audience.

However, while Knoxville was busy filming another segment, Jackass co-creator Jeff Tremaine came up with another idea.

Tremaine asked Pitt if the crew could kidnap him in front of Pink’s Hot Dogs.

Pitt’s response was simple: yes.

Brad Pitt Said Yes Without Hesitation

Tremaine said Pitt did not need a long explanation or a formal approval process.

According to the director, Pitt agreed immediately and did not even make a phone call before getting into the van to film the stunt.

“He said, ‘Sure,’” Tremaine recalled.

The team moved quickly, capturing the sequence in the fast, unpredictable style that defined the original Jackass era.

Chris Pontius also remembered Pitt’s reaction fondly, saying the actor “loved it.”

Why the Stunt Became a Classic Jackass Moment

The kidnapping stunt aired during Season 3, Episode 8 of Jackass and quickly became one of the show’s standout celebrity moments.

The scene showed Pitt apparently being abducted outside the landmark Los Angeles hot dog stand, turning a Hollywood A-lister into the center of a chaotic public prank.

Part of what made the moment so memorable was its simplicity.

There was no elaborate setup, no long production process, and no heavy explanation. Pitt agreed, the crew moved fast, and the result became a classic example of the show’s unpredictable energy.

The Gorilla Sketch That Got Overshadowed

Although the “Night Monkeys” gorilla sketch was also completed and aired on television, Knoxville admitted it was overshadowed by the kidnapping stunt.

He joked that having Brad Pitt wear a mask for most of a sketch may not have been the smartest use of one of the biggest movie stars in the world.

“Kind of dumb to have Brad Pitt with a mask on the whole time,” Knoxville said. “Like what’s the point? But we’re kind of dumb.”

The self-deprecating comment fits the spirit of Jackass, a franchise built on absurd ideas, physical comedy, and cast members fully committing to ridiculous moments.

Jackass Prepares for Its Final Chapter

Knoxville’s story comes as Jackass prepares to release Jackass: Best and Last, which is being billed as the final chapter in the long-running franchise.

The original MTV series aired from 2000 to 2002 before expanding into a successful movie franchise with Jackass: The Movie in 2002.

Over the years, the franchise became known for dangerous stunts, practical jokes, celebrity cameos, and outrageous physical comedy.

Earlier this year, Knoxville said the new release felt like the natural place to end the series.

For fans, the upcoming installment marks the close of one of the most recognizable comedy brands of the early 2000s.

Why Brad Pitt’s Cameo Still Stands Out Years Later

Brad Pitt’s Jackass appearance remains memorable because it captured a rare side of a major Hollywood star.

Rather than arriving with heavy restrictions or careful image management, Pitt jumped directly into the prank and trusted the Jackass crew to make it work.

That willingness helped create one of the franchise’s most surprising celebrity moments.

As Jackass prepares to say goodbye, Knoxville’s story is a reminder of why the show became so influential: it was unpredictable, chaotic, and often powered by people saying yes to ideas that made absolutely no sense on paper.

Savannah Guthrie Supported by Today Show Colleagues After Emotional On-Air Plea

0

Key Takeaways

Savannah Guthrie became emotional on Today while discussing her mother Nancy’s disappearance.
The presenter said her family remains in “agony” and is still searching for answers.
Guthrie’s Today colleagues are reportedly supporting her during the difficult time.
Reports say ransom notes sent to a Tucson TV station are being reviewed by investigators.
Guthrie used the on-air moment to ask anyone with information to come forward.

Savannah Guthrie Breaks Down During Emotional Today Show Segment

Savannah Guthrie received support from her Today show colleagues after an emotional on-air moment this week.

During Tuesday’s broadcast, the presenter broke down in tears while speaking about the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, who vanished from her Arizona home on February 1.

The segment came as new reports brought renewed attention to the case. Guthrie said she did not want to comment directly on recent reports about ransom notes, but she also explained that she could not pretend the story was not personal while it was being discussed on the show.

For Guthrie, the moment became an opportunity to ask the public for help.

Why Guthrie Made a Public Plea for Help

Speaking through tears, Guthrie described the situation as “unusual and unprecedented” as she sat on the Today set while her family’s story was covered as national news.

She said someone knows something about what happened to her mother and urged anyone with information to come forward.

“This is a news story today that is on your radar,” Guthrie said, explaining that for her family, it is their daily reality.

She added that the pain extends to her siblings, extended family, and children, who continue to live with uncertainty surrounding Nancy’s disappearance.

Guthrie said her family is in “agony” and “cannot be at peace” without answers.

Today Show Colleagues Rally Around Savannah Guthrie

According to Page Six, Guthrie’s friends and co-workers at Today have rallied around her following the emotional broadcast.

A source told the publication that it was “a sad day” behind the scenes and that many people at the show were affected by the moment.

“There was a sense of sadness,” the source said, adding that colleagues feel heartbroken for Guthrie and admire her ability to continue working through such a painful personal situation.

The report also noted that there is strong support for Guthrie among her co-workers, who care deeply about what she and her family are going through.

Reports About Ransom Notes Add New Attention to the Case

The emotional segment followed reports about two ransom notes allegedly sent to KOLD, a TV station in Tucson, after Nancy Guthrie disappeared.

According to reports, investigators are treating the notes as potentially credible. NBC News reported that the first note demanded cryptocurrency in exchange for Nancy’s safe return.

A second note reportedly suggested that Nancy may have died after being abducted. However, officials have not publicly confirmed that claim as fact.

KOLD’s 13 News confirmed that the station received two notes in the days after Guthrie went missing from her Catalina Foothills home. The station said it shared relevant information, including the IP address connected to the notes, with law enforcement.

Out of respect for the family and the investigation, the outlet said it would not release the full details of the notes.

Guthrie Says Her Family Is Still Searching for Answers

Guthrie made it clear that her family is not giving up.

During the broadcast, she asked anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact authorities. She also emphasized that tips can be submitted anonymously.

“Please do the right thing,” Guthrie said.

She added that her family loves Nancy and will never stop looking for her.

The emotional appeal showed a different side of Guthrie, who is usually the one guiding viewers through difficult stories. This time, she was at the center of one.

How the Emotional Moment Resonated With Viewers

Guthrie’s on-air plea quickly drew attention because it combined live television, personal grief, and an ongoing investigation.

For viewers, the moment was powerful because Guthrie was not speaking only as a journalist. She was speaking as a daughter desperate for answers.

The situation also highlighted the difficult balance public figures face when personal tragedy becomes part of the news cycle.

Guthrie acknowledged that she was not involved in the coverage of her mother’s case, but she still used the platform to ask for help.

Why Savannah Guthrie’s Plea Became a Powerful Television Moment

Savannah Guthrie’s emotional moment on Today was more than a difficult broadcast. It was a public plea from a daughter trying to find her mother.

Her colleagues are reportedly standing by her, and viewers have seen just how painful the uncertainty has been for her family.

As investigators continue reviewing information related to the case, Guthrie’s message remains clear: someone may know something, and even the smallest detail could matter.

For now, her family is still searching, still asking for answers, and still holding on to hope.

At the previous two World Cups held under Infantino’s leadership, the FIFA president presented the trophy himself. Infantino handed over the trophy at both the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Before Infantino, former FIFA president Sepp Blatter also typically handled trophy presentation duties.

This time, however, Trump will share the stage with Infantino, creating a different kind of ceremony for the 2026 final.

The move reflects the significance of the United States hosting the final and places political leadership alongside FIFA’s top official during one of the tournament’s defining moments.

Trump’s Club World Cup Moment Sparked Previous Attention

The decision also comes after Trump drew attention during the FIFA Club World Cup trophy ceremony last summer.

After Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain in New Jersey, Trump was allowed to present the trophy to Chelsea captain Reece James. However, his decision to remain on stage during the team’s celebration became a major talking point.

Chelsea players appeared surprised as Trump stood among them during the trophy-lift moment.

That incident led to widespread discussion online and in the sports world, making his upcoming role at the World Cup final even more notable.

World Leaders Have Presented the World Cup Trophy Before

Although recent World Cup ceremonies have usually featured FIFA presidents presenting the trophy, heads of state have taken part in the tradition before.

In 1982, King Juan Carlos of Spain handed the trophy to Italy captain Dino Zoff after Italy won the World Cup.

In 1966, Queen Elizabeth II presented the trophy to England captain Bobby Moore following England’s historic victory on home soil.

Those examples show that Trump’s involvement is not without precedent, even if it differs from the format used at the most recent tournaments.

Why the Trophy Ceremony Is Already Drawing Global Attention

The 2026 World Cup final is already expected to be one of the biggest sporting events in the world, and Trump’s involvement adds another layer of attention to the ceremony.

For FIFA, the moment will bring together sports, politics, and global spectacle on one of the largest stages in international entertainment.

For viewers, the trophy presentation will likely be watched closely not only for the winning team’s celebration, but also for how the ceremony is handled after Trump’s widely discussed Club World Cup appearance.

With the final scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey, the 2026 World Cup is now heading toward a dramatic closing moment that will extend beyond the pitch.

Tom Hanks Says Disney Could Use AI to Recreate Woody’s Voice for Future Toy Story Movies

0

Key Takeaways

Tom Hanks says another Toy Story movie should only happen if the story is fresh and meaningful.
The actor acknowledged Disney could potentially use AI to recreate Woody’s voice without him.
Hanks said decades of recorded Woody dialogue exist on digital media.
Hanks and Tim Allen both described the idea of AI recreating performances as “scary.”
The comments highlight growing concerns across Hollywood about AI, deepfakes, and actor rights.

Tom Hanks Questions Whether Toy Story 6 Should Happen

Tom Hanks is once again part of the Toy Story franchise, but he is already thinking carefully about what should come next.

Following the release of Toy Story 5, which opened with a massive $312 million worldwide debut, speculation has already started about whether Toy Story 6 could eventually happen.

Hanks, who has voiced Woody for more than three decades, told Entertainment Weekly that another sequel should not move forward unless there is a strong creative reason for it.

“If you’re gonna do another Toy Story, it better be worthwhile,” Hanks said.

Why Hanks Says Another Sequel Must Be Worthwhile

For Hanks, the popularity of the Toy Story name is not enough reason to keep the franchise going.

The two-time Oscar winner said any future installment needs to explore a meaningful theme rather than simply continue because audiences recognize the title.

He acknowledged that Toy Story is a major corporate franchise, but he also made it clear that the story has to justify another film.

According to Hanks, a new movie should feel “good, new, fresh” or there is no reason to make it.

That perspective reflects the careful balance many long-running franchises face in Hollywood: serving loyal fans while also avoiding creative repetition.

Could Disney Recreate Woody’s Voice With AI?

Hanks also addressed a more unsettling possibility: Disney may not need him physically present to bring Woody back in the future.

Because Hanks has recorded Woody’s voice for decades, the studio likely has access to a massive archive of dialogue from previous Toy Story projects.

Hanks suggested that, with enough recorded material stored digitally, AI could potentially be used to recreate his voice and generate new lines for Woody.

“Every word we have ever recorded in time in Toy Story is on digital media somewhere,” Hanks said.

He added that the studio could theoretically assemble a version of his voice using that existing material.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen Call the Idea “Scary”

Hanks is not alone in feeling uneasy about that possibility.

His longtime co-star Tim Allen, who voices Buzz Lightyear, also agreed that the idea is unsettling.

The two actors have helped define the emotional heart of the Toy Story franchise since the first film was released in 1995. Their voices are closely tied to the identity of Woody and Buzz.

That is why the idea of recreating those performances through AI raises complicated questions.

For fans, Woody’s voice is inseparable from Hanks. For actors, the issue is even bigger: who controls a performance once decades of voice recordings can be used to build new ones?

Why AI Has Been on Hanks’ Mind for Years

Hanks has spoken before about how artificial intelligence and deepfake technology could change acting.

During a 2023 appearance on The Adam Buxton Podcast, he discussed how technology could allow actors’ images, voices, and performances to continue long after they are no longer physically involved.

He pointed to The Polar Express, the 2004 Robert Zemeckis film that used motion-capture technology, as an early example of actors’ likenesses being stored and transformed digitally.

Hanks said that technology has grown dramatically since then.

According to the actor, AI and deepfake tools now make it possible for performers to be recreated at different ages or even appear in future projects without being present.

The Legal and Creative Questions Facing Hollywood

Hanks said the issue is not only artistic. It is also legal.

AI-generated performances raise questions about consent, ownership, compensation, and creative control. If a studio has access to an actor’s voice or likeness, who decides how that material can be used?

These questions have become increasingly important across the entertainment industry as studios, actors, writers, and unions continue to debate the future of AI in film and television.

For performers, the concern is not just about technology replacing work. It is about protecting identity, performance, and artistic contribution.

Hanks’ comments show why many actors want clearer boundaries around how AI can be used.

Why Woody’s Future Raises Bigger Questions for Actors

The future of Woody may be part of a beloved animated franchise, but the questions surrounding the character go far beyond Toy Story.

Hanks’ comments reflect one of the biggest debates happening in Hollywood today: how to use new technology without taking control away from performers.

If AI can recreate an actor’s voice, likeness, or performance, the industry will need stronger rules to protect consent and creative ownership.

For now, Hanks is back as Woody in Toy Story 5, but his warning makes one thing clear: the future of acting may depend as much on legal protections as creative talent.

House of the Dragon Cast Reacts to “Shocking” Mother-Son Kiss in Season 3 Premiere

Key Takeaways

House of the Dragon Season 3 premiered on HBO on June 21, 2026.
The episode features a shocking kiss between Aemond Targaryen and his mother, Alicent Hightower.
Ewan Mitchell said the scene is disturbing but reveals a new side of Aemond.
Olivia Cooke said Alicent is stunned and carefully trying not to provoke her son.
The scene points to Aemond’s dangerous emotional state as the war intensifies.

Aemond Targaryen Crosses a Disturbing Line in Season 3

House of the Dragon Season 3 opened with one of the show’s most uncomfortable moments yet.

The HBO drama returned on Sunday, June 21, with a premiere that quickly placed Aemond Targaryen at the center of controversy. Following Aegon’s sudden disappearance, the Targaryen family is left reeling, and the chaos leads to a tense exchange between Aemond and his mother, Alicent Hightower.

During that conversation, Aemond kisses Alicent on the lips.

The moment immediately became one of the premiere’s most shocking scenes, and the cast is now opening up about what it means for both characters.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Ewan Mitchell, who plays Aemond, said the scene is intentionally unsettling and difficult to watch.

Ewan Mitchell Says the Scene Shows Aemond in a New Light

Mitchell did not downplay the disturbing nature of the kiss.

The actor said the scene “kind of makes you want to throw up in your mouth a little bit,” acknowledging just how uncomfortable the moment is supposed to feel.

Still, Mitchell also saw the scene as a major acting challenge. For him, it was an opportunity to reveal another side of Aemond and explore the character’s damaged emotional world.

According to Mitchell, Aemond grew up feeling unloved by his mother and the rest of his family. That lack of unconditional love shaped the way he sees himself and the way he expresses affection.

“Aemond, because he never had that, he’s got a very skewed perception and a very strange way of showing love,” Mitchell explained.

For the actor, the kiss is not meant to be romantic in a traditional sense. Instead, it reflects Aemond’s deeply distorted understanding of love, loyalty, and attachment.

Why Aemond’s Love for Alicent Has Become Dangerous

Aemond’s connection to Alicent has always carried emotional weight, but Season 3 appears to push that bond into darker territory.

Mitchell said Aemond has always seen Alicent as someone he “wholeheartedly loved.” He also believes Alicent is one of the main reasons Aemond is so determined to win the war.

The actor pointed back to Season 1, when young Aemond lost his eye. In that moment, Alicent was the only person who truly defended him.

That scene became a defining memory for Aemond.

To him, Alicent’s defense created a powerful bond. But by the Season 3 premiere, that bond has clearly become unhealthy, possessive, and dangerous.

Aemond’s loyalty to his mother is no longer just about family. It has become tied to his need for control, validation, and power.

Olivia Cooke Says Alicent Is Stunned by the Kiss

Olivia Cooke, who plays Alicent, said the moment was strange for both actors to film.

The actress described Aemond as deeply troubled and said there has been an “Oedipal undercurrent” in his relationship with Alicent, even if Alicent herself did not fully recognize it before.

For Alicent, the kiss is not only shocking. It is also threatening.

Cooke explained that Alicent understands how dangerous Aemond has become. Because of that, she has to be extremely careful with how she reacts.

One wrong facial expression or one sign of rejection could put her life at risk.

“She knows that one wrong facial expression, one perceived rejection, will cost her her life,” Cooke said.

According to Cooke, Alicent is “stupefied” in the moment, caught between shock, fear, and the need to survive her son’s unpredictable behavior.

How the Scene Changes Aemond and Alicent’s Dynamic

The kiss may become a turning point in Aemond and Alicent’s relationship.

Alicent has already been forced to navigate political danger, family betrayal, and the consequences of the Targaryen civil war. Now, she must also confront the fact that one of the greatest threats around her may be her own son.

For Aemond, the scene reveals just how unstable his emotional world has become.

He is not only fighting for power. He is also trying to claim control over the people and relationships that shaped him.

That makes him even more unpredictable heading into the rest of Season 3.

Why This Moment Matters for Actors and Fans

For fans, the scene adds another disturbing layer to Aemond’s character and raises major questions about what he will do next.

For actors, the moment also offers a clear example of how performers approach difficult and uncomfortable material. Both Mitchell and Cooke had to play a scene that is emotionally charged, disturbing, and psychologically complex without reducing it to shock value.

Mitchell described working with Cooke as a “masterclass,” praising her performance and presence on set.

That collaboration helped turn a deeply uncomfortable moment into a major character reveal.

The scene is designed to unsettle viewers, but it also gives the actors a chance to explore fear, power, trauma, and emotional damage in a way that could shape the rest of the season.

Why Aemond and Alicent’s Scene Is Already Defining Season 3

House of the Dragon Season 3 has only just begun, but Aemond and Alicent’s scene is already one of its most talked-about moments.

The kiss is shocking, but it also serves a larger purpose. It shows how far Aemond’s understanding of love has been warped and how dangerous his attachment to Alicent has become.

For Alicent, the moment confirms that her son is no longer just a political problem. He is a personal threat.

With new episodes airing Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO, House of the Dragon is setting up a season filled with emotional tension, dangerous power plays, and unpredictable character turns.

A24 and Google DeepMind Launch AI Filmmaking Partnership: What It Means for Actors and Creators

A24 is making a major move into artificial intelligence.

The independent studio behind some of the most talked-about films and television projects of the past decade is partnering with Google DeepMind to develop new AI tools for filmmakers. The partnership signals a major shift in how studios, technology companies, directors, producers, and creative teams may use artificial intelligence in future film and television production.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Google is investing around $75 million into A24 as part of a new AI-focused partnership between the studio and Google DeepMind. The collaboration is expected to focus on developing tools for movie production, distribution, and creative workflows.

For actors, filmmakers, content creators, and entertainment professionals, this is more than a business deal. It is another sign that AI is becoming a bigger part of Hollywood’s future.

A24 and Google DeepMind Are Teaming Up on AI Tools

A24 and Google DeepMind are joining forces to create new AI-powered tools that can support filmmakers during the creative process.

The partnership is expected to help A24’s filmmakers experiment with artificial intelligence in ways that may improve development, pre-production, production planning, storyboarding, visual workflows, and distribution strategy.

Google DeepMind is one of the most advanced AI research labs in the world. Google also has its own video generation technology, including Veo, which has been widely discussed as one of the company’s most important tools in the AI video space.

A24, meanwhile, has built its brand around bold storytelling, original voices, emerging filmmakers, and culturally relevant films. The studio has become known for projects that often feel different from traditional Hollywood blockbusters.

That makes the partnership especially interesting.

Instead of AI being introduced only by major legacy studios, this deal connects one of the most influential independent entertainment companies with one of the most powerful AI labs in the world.

Google DeepMind Says the Goal Is to Support Artists

Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis said the company wants to build AI tools by working directly with creative professionals.

“We believe the best way to develop tools that empower artists is to work directly with them,” Hassabis said in a statement posted by Google. “By collaborating with filmmakers and industry leaders like A24 from the beginning, we can build new AI features to support artists in authentic, meaningful storytelling that helps enable their creative vision.”

That quote shows how Google is positioning the partnership.

The message is not simply about replacing creative workers or making movies cheaper. Google and A24 are presenting the deal as a way to build tools that support filmmakers and strengthen storytelling.

Still, the partnership will likely fuel more debate across Hollywood.

AI remains one of the most controversial topics in entertainment. Actors, writers, directors, editors, visual effects artists, and crew members are all watching closely to see how studios use these tools and whether they help or harm creative labor.

Why This A24 Deal Matters

A24 is not just another studio.

The company has built a powerful reputation with filmmakers, critics, audiences, and younger moviegoers. A24’s brand often represents artistic risk, unusual stories, fresh talent, and filmmaker-driven projects.

That is why this Google DeepMind partnership matters.

If a studio like A24 begins using AI tools inside its creative workflow, other production companies may pay close attention. The deal could influence how independent studios, streamers, production companies, and digital creators think about AI.

It also shows that AI is no longer just a side experiment in Hollywood. It is becoming part of serious studio strategy.

Other major entertainment companies are already exploring AI. Netflix and Prime Video have been developing tools for filmmakers, while Lionsgate previously partnered with Runway AI to explore generative AI models. Now A24 is entering the conversation with Google DeepMind.

The entertainment industry is clearly moving toward a future where AI tools are part of development, production, marketing, and distribution.

How AI Could Be Used in Film Production

The exact tools A24 and Google DeepMind will build have not been fully revealed. However, AI could potentially support several parts of the filmmaking process.

Studios and filmmakers may use AI to help with:

Storyboarding
Previsualization
Concept art
Shot planning
Location planning
Editing support
Script analysis
Marketing research
Audience insights
Production scheduling
Visual effects development
Distribution strategy

For example, AI-generated storyboards could help directors and producers visualize scenes before cameras roll. AI tools may also help teams test different creative approaches, organize production materials, or explore visual ideas faster.

The key question is how these tools are used.

If AI supports artists, it could become a powerful creative assistant. If AI is used to replace workers or reduce opportunities, it could create major industry pushback.

That is why transparency, consent, and fair labor practices will matter.

What This Means for Actors

For actors, the A24 and Google DeepMind partnership is important because AI is becoming part of the entertainment business from the ground up.

This does not mean actors are going away. In fact, human performance remains one of the most valuable parts of storytelling.

But it does mean actors need to understand how the industry is changing.

AI may affect casting, auditions, pre-production, digital likeness rights, voice work, background performance, marketing, and even how performances are edited or enhanced. Actors should pay attention to how contracts address AI, digital replicas, voice rights, image usage, and consent.

The biggest lesson for actors is this: your likeness, voice, and performance have value.

As AI tools become more advanced, actors should be careful about what they agree to and how their image or voice can be used. This is especially true for background actors, commercial actors, voice actors, and performers working on digital-first projects.

Actors should also stay informed about union protections, casting notices, and production agreements. If a project involves AI usage, performers should ask clear questions before signing anything.

What Actors Should Do Now

Actors do not need to fear every AI tool, but they do need to be prepared.

Here are a few practical steps actors can take:

Keep your headshots updated.
Refresh your acting resume.
Build a strong reel that shows emotional range.
Read contracts carefully, especially language about image, voice, likeness, and digital replicas.
Be cautious about giving broad permission to use your likeness forever.
Stay informed about SAG-AFTRA rules and AI protections.
Apply to verified casting opportunities.
Build a professional online profile so casting teams can find you.

AI may change some workflows, but strong actors will still be needed to bring characters to life.

The performers who understand both craft and technology may have an advantage in the next era of entertainment.

What This Means for Filmmakers and Content Creators

For filmmakers, the A24 and Google DeepMind partnership could point toward new creative tools that make development and production more accessible.

Independent filmmakers often face limited budgets, tight schedules, and small teams. If AI tools can help with concept development, visual planning, or production organization, they could help creators move faster.

That could be especially useful for short films, music videos, branded content, independent features, microdramas, social media series, and digital storytelling.

However, filmmakers should also be thoughtful about how they use AI.

Audiences still care about originality, authenticity, and emotional connection. AI can help generate ideas, but it cannot replace taste, vision, lived experience, or strong storytelling.

For creators, the best use of AI may be as a tool, not the author.

Why This Matters for Project Casting Users

Project Casting connects actors, creators, models, crew members, and entertainment professionals with real opportunities in film, television, commercials, streaming, and digital media.

That makes this AI shift especially relevant.

As studios experiment with AI, the industry may create new types of jobs and casting opportunities. Productions may need actors for AI-assisted films, voice work, motion capture, digital doubles, virtual production, branded content, social-first storytelling, and experimental media projects.

At the same time, actors and creators need to stay cautious and informed.

Not every AI-related opportunity will be equal. Some may be exciting and legitimate. Others may raise questions about compensation, ownership, likeness rights, and long-term usage.

Project Casting users should stay ready, stay professional, and look for verified opportunities from trusted sources.

AI Is Becoming Part of Hollywood’s Future

The A24 and Google DeepMind deal is part of a much larger trend.

AI is already affecting writing, editing, visual effects, marketing, dubbing, localization, animation, and video generation. Now, major studios and tech companies are working more directly together.

That does not mean every filmmaker will use AI the same way.

Some directors may reject AI entirely. Others may use it during early planning. Some may use AI only for technical tasks, while others may experiment with it as part of the creative process.

The debate is not going away.

But one thing is clear: AI is becoming a major part of the entertainment conversation.

Actors, filmmakers, and creators who understand the technology, protect their rights, and continue improving their craft will be better prepared for what comes next.

Final Thoughts

A24’s partnership with Google DeepMind is one of the most important AI developments in entertainment right now.

The deal brings together a studio known for bold creative storytelling and one of the world’s leading AI research labs. Together, they plan to build tools that could shape how films are developed, produced, marketed, and distributed.

For actors, this is a reminder to stay informed and protect your image, voice, and performance rights. For filmmakers, it is a sign that AI tools may become part of future production workflows. For creators, it opens the door to new possibilities, but also new responsibilities.

Hollywood is changing fast.

The best thing actors and filmmakers can do is stay ready, stay educated, and stay connected to real opportunities.

Olivia Cooke Says She Was “Intimidated” by Steven Spielberg’s Genius on Ready Player One

Key Takeaways

Olivia Cooke says she was “intimidated” by Steven Spielberg’s genius while filming Ready Player One.
The actress was fascinated by Spielberg’s ability to direct, edit, and develop sequences at the same time.
Cooke said Spielberg was working across both the real-world and simulation-world elements of the film.
The House of the Dragon star also recalled early audition experiences in Los Angeles.
Cooke said she struggles with the celebrity side of acting and prefers focusing on storytelling.

Olivia Cooke Reflects on Working With Steven Spielberg

Olivia Cooke has opened up about what it was like to work with one of Hollywood’s most legendary filmmakers.

The 32-year-old actress starred as Samantha Cook, also known as Art3mis, in Steven Spielberg’s 2018 sci-fi action film Ready Player One. While the experience gave Cooke a front-row seat to Spielberg’s filmmaking process, she admitted it was also intimidating.

Speaking with The Telegraph, Cooke described Spielberg as a “genius” and said watching him work was one of the most memorable parts of the production.

Inside Spielberg’s Fast-Paced Creative Process

According to Cooke, Spielberg’s ability to focus on multiple parts of a film at once left a lasting impression.

She recalled how the director would move between filming scenes on set and editing another project nearby.

“Watching how his mind worked. He’s a genius,” Cooke said.

The actress explained that Spielberg had an editing suite set up beside the set, allowing him to work on post-production between filming setups. He would step away to edit, then return to direct the actors.

For Cooke, the speed and precision of Spielberg’s workflow was difficult to fully understand.

Why Ready Player One Felt Like Two Movies at Once

Cooke said Ready Player One presented a unique challenge because Spielberg was effectively managing two different visual worlds.

The film moves between the real world and the virtual simulation known as the OASIS. That meant Spielberg had to coordinate live-action performances, motion-capture sequences, visual effects, and real-world reactions all at the same time.

Cooke said he would create new sequences on the spot for the actors to improvise while wearing motion-capture suits.

At the same time, Spielberg was figuring out how those moments would connect with real-life reaction shots that had already been filmed.

“I thought, I don’t understand how you do this,” Cooke said. “He was intimidating because he’s such a genius, but he was also so lovely.”

Olivia Cooke Recalls Competitive Auditions in Los Angeles

Cooke also reflected on her early years auditioning in Los Angeles and the intense competition young actors often face.

The House of the Dragon star said that when she was around 18, 19, or 20, she frequently auditioned for projects in Los Angeles. During that period, she repeatedly found herself competing against the same actress.

Cooke did not name the actress, but said the experience became memorable because of how theatrical the other performer would be in the waiting room.

According to Cooke, the actress would stare at her, do yoga stretches on the floor, and dramatically read her lines in an apparent attempt to psych her out.

The Pressure Behind Building an Acting Career

Cooke’s comments also highlight a reality many working actors understand: the job does not end when the camera stops rolling.

Auditions, press tours, public image, and industry expectations can all shape an actor’s career. For performers trying to build long-term success, Cooke’s perspective is a reminder that talent and craft still matter, even in an industry increasingly influenced by visibility and celebrity culture.

The actress also pointed to the scrutiny placed on women in entertainment, including conversations around bodies, aging, and sex appeal. For Cooke, that attention can distract from the real purpose of the work: telling a story and making a film audiences can connect with.

What Actors Can Learn From Olivia Cooke’s Hollywood Experience

Cooke’s reflections offer a useful lesson for actors navigating a competitive and highly public industry.

Her audition stories show how intense the casting process can feel, especially for young performers trying to break through in Los Angeles. But they also show the importance of staying grounded, focused, and prepared, even when the environment around you feels intimidating.

Her comments about celebrity culture are equally revealing. Cooke has made it clear that she does not want fame to become the focus of her career. Instead, she wants the work to speak for itself.

For actors, that mindset can be powerful. The industry may reward visibility, but lasting careers are often built on consistency, professionalism, and a clear commitment to the craft.

The Bottom Line

Olivia Cooke may have felt intimidated by Steven Spielberg’s genius on Ready Player One, but the experience gave her a deeper appreciation for what masterful filmmaking looks like up close.

From Spielberg’s ability to manage multiple creative demands at once to Cooke’s reflections on auditions and fame, her comments offer a candid look at the challenges and lessons that come with building a career in Hollywood.

For actors, her story is especially relatable: the industry can be competitive, public, and unpredictable, but Cooke’s focus remains on what matters most — telling a great story.

Tom Holland Says AI Can’t Replace Human Creativity

Tom Holland Says AI Lacks the Human Touch

As artificial intelligence continues to transform industries around the world, many people in Hollywood are debating what the technology means for the future of filmmaking, acting, and creative work.

Tom Holland is among those who believe artists have little reason to fear AI replacing human creativity.

The Spider-Man star recently shared his thoughts on the growing influence of artificial intelligence, arguing that while AI can analyze information and generate content, it cannot recreate the emotional depth that drives true artistic expression.

Speaking on the Spanish talk show El Hormiguero, Holland explained why he believes creativity remains uniquely human.

“Creativity is safe from AI because creativity has to do with the human experience. It’s about emotions, it’s about understanding one another.”

Why Tom Holland Thinks Creativity Is Protected

Artificial intelligence has become one of the entertainment industry’s most talked-about topics.

From scriptwriting tools and digital effects to AI-generated images and voice technology, studios and creators are exploring new ways to incorporate automation into production.

However, Holland believes there is a major difference between processing information and creating meaningful art.

AI Can Analyze Data, But It Can’t Feel

According to the actor, human creativity is rooted in personal experiences, emotions, and relationships.

While AI systems can learn patterns and analyze vast amounts of information, Holland argues they cannot genuinely understand what people feel.

“AI can sift through data, but it can’t understand people’s emotions. It doesn’t understand the difference between being happy and being sad.”

This distinction is why Holland remains optimistic about the future of creative careers.

For actors, writers, directors, painters, musicians, and other artists, emotional intelligence remains at the heart of the work.

The Human Experience Drives Great Art

Holland also pointed to visual artists as an example of why creativity extends beyond simply reproducing information.

He explained that artistic work is often about self-expression rather than replication.

“The way artists paint, it’s not about what they’re copying, it’s about expressing themselves. So I feel protected.”

His comments reflect a growing belief among many creatives that while AI may become a valuable tool, it cannot fully replace the perspective and emotional insight that humans bring to storytelling.

AI and Hollywood: An Ongoing Conversation

The entertainment industry has spent the last several years navigating questions about artificial intelligence.

Major concerns include:

  • AI-generated scripts and story ideas
  • Digital recreations of actors
  • Voice cloning technology
  • Copyright and intellectual property issues
  • Job security for creative professionals

These concerns became especially prominent during recent Hollywood labor negotiations, where performers and writers pushed for protections regarding AI use.

As technology advances, many industry leaders are searching for ways to balance innovation with safeguarding creative professions.

Demi Moore Encourages a Balanced Approach

Tom Holland isn’t the only Hollywood star discussing the future of AI.

At the Cannes Film Festival, Academy Award nominee Demi Moore shared her perspective on how the industry should approach emerging technology.

Rather than resisting AI entirely, Moore believes the entertainment business should learn how to work alongside it.

Fighting AI May Be Impossible

According to Moore, artificial intelligence is already becoming a permanent part of everyday life and business.

She suggested that completely opposing the technology may not be realistic.

“AI is here, and so to fight it is to, in a sense, fight something that is a battle that we will lose.”

Instead, she believes the better approach is understanding how AI can be used responsibly and productively.

“So to find ways in which we can work with it, I think, is a more valuable path.”

At the same time, Moore acknowledged that there are still concerns about whether enough safeguards are being put in place to protect artists and creators.

“Are we doing enough to protect ourselves? I don’t know. My inclination would be to say probably not.”

Why Demi Moore Says AI Can’t Replace True Art

Despite supporting the responsible use of AI, Moore agrees with Holland that technology has limits.

The Substance star believes that authentic artistic expression comes from something deeper than algorithms or data.

Art Comes From the Soul

Moore argued that while AI can assist creative processes, it cannot replicate the essence of human artistry.

“There are beautiful aspects of being able to utilise it, but the truth is, there really isn’t anything to fear, because what it can never replace is what true art comes from.”

She added:

“It comes from the soul.”

Her comments echo concerns and hopes shared by many actors, filmmakers, and creators who see AI as a useful tool but not a substitute for genuine human storytelling.

What AI Means for Actors and Content Creators

The debate surrounding AI is particularly important for actors, filmmakers, writers, and digital creators.

As technology evolves, professionals across the entertainment industry are asking how AI will affect jobs, creativity, and audience engagement.

Current trends suggest that AI is most effective when used to:

  • Streamline production workflows
  • Assist with research and data analysis
  • Enhance visual effects
  • Improve content localization and translation
  • Support marketing and audience insights

However, storytelling, emotional performance, and creative decision-making continue to rely heavily on human talent.

This is one reason many industry experts believe actors, writers, and creators who develop unique voices and authentic perspectives will remain in demand.

The Future of Creativity in an AI-Powered World

Tom Holland’s comments highlight a growing sentiment among artists: technology may evolve rapidly, but creativity remains deeply human.

While artificial intelligence can process information at extraordinary speeds, many creators believe the ability to connect emotionally with audiences cannot be automated.

As Hollywood continues exploring new technologies, stars like Holland and Demi Moore argue that the most powerful stories will always come from real human experiences.

For now, both actors remain confident that the soul of creativity—and the future of authentic storytelling—still belongs to people, not machines.

Zendaya Praises Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Legacy and Personal Growth

  • The actress praised Tom’s dedication to young fans and the responsibility that comes with playing the iconic superhero.
  • Tom Holland has spoken openly about quitting alcohol and how sobriety improved both his personal and professional life.
  • The couple will reunite on-screen in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
  • Holland credits giving up drinking with helping him feel more confident, focused, and successful.

Zendaya Shares What She Admires Most About Tom Holland

Zendaya is opening up about her admiration for Tom Holland, both as an actor and as the face of one of Hollywood’s most successful superhero franchises.

The Emmy-winning actress, who stars alongside Holland in Marvel’s Spider-Man films, recently revealed that what impresses her most isn’t necessarily what audiences see on screen. Instead, it’s how Holland embraces the role of Spider-Man in his everyday life.

Speaking to Fandango’s Big Ticket, Zendaya explained that Holland has handled the immense responsibility of portraying Peter Parker with remarkable care and humility.

Tom Holland’s Impact Beyond the Spider-Man Movies

For millions of fans around the world, Spider-Man is more than just a superhero. The character represents hope, resilience, and the idea that anyone can be a hero.

Zendaya believes Holland fully understands that responsibility.

“My favourite thing about Tom’s Spider-Man is how Tom handles Spider-Man outside of Spider-Man,” she said.

She noted that Spider-Man holds a special place in the hearts of audiences, particularly children and young fans who look up to the character.

According to Zendaya, Holland has always recognized the importance of that connection.

“So many people connect to this character — to Peter Parker, to Spider-Man. Especially young people, especially children.”

The actress went on to praise Holland for treating the role with respect and understanding the positive influence it has on fans worldwide.

Why Zendaya Says Tom Takes Spider-Man Seriously

Playing a Marvel superhero comes with enormous expectations.

Actors in blockbuster franchises often become role models overnight, and fans frequently associate them with the characters they portray.

Zendaya explained that Holland has embraced that reality with grace throughout his career.

“He’s just handled that weight with such grace, and really loves and cares so much about the character and what the character means to other people.”

The actress added that watching Holland interact with young Spider-Man fans has been especially meaningful.

Rather than seeing the role as just another acting job, Holland appears committed to ensuring that children continue to see Spider-Man as a source of inspiration.

Zendaya even addressed him directly, saying:

“I just love seeing what and how you carry Spider-Man through your life in real life.”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Brings the Couple Back Together

Fans are eagerly awaiting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will reunite Zendaya and Holland on the big screen.

The pair first met while working on Marvel’s Spider-Man films and quickly became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples.

Their chemistry helped make the franchise a massive box-office success, with audiences embracing both their on-screen and off-screen relationship.

As anticipation grows for the next installment, Zendaya’s comments offer a glimpse into the respect and admiration that exists behind the scenes.

Tom Holland Opens Up About Sobriety

While Holland continues to thrive professionally, he has also been candid about personal challenges he faced earlier in his career.

The actor previously revealed that alcohol had become a problem and was negatively affecting both his life and work.

Holland stopped drinking in January 2022 and has since spoken openly about his sobriety journey.

In an interview with USA Today, he described alcohol as an “incredibly dangerous thing” and explained how quitting transformed his mindset.

How Giving Up Alcohol Changed Tom Holland’s Life

Holland believes his decision to become sober played a significant role in helping him navigate the pressures of fame.

As one of the most recognizable actors of his generation, he faces constant public attention and scrutiny.

The actor admitted that drinking often amplified those challenges rather than helping him cope with them.

“Drinking was something that was ultimately really getting in the way of my professional life.”

Since stepping away from alcohol, Holland says he feels healthier, more focused, and more confident.

He explained:

“Being an actor and living your life on the big stage can be really stressful. And I think that alcohol, for me personally, really compounded that issue.”

A New Chapter for Tom Holland

Today, Holland says he feels more like himself than ever before.

With multiple major projects on the horizon and another Spider-Man film in development, the actor credits sobriety for helping him fully embrace the opportunities ahead.

“Since getting rid of the booze and feeling more like myself and waking up clear-headed every day and fresh to start the day, I just feel so much more confident in myself as who I am as a person.”

His story has resonated with many fans who appreciate his willingness to discuss mental health, personal growth, and the realities of life in the spotlight.

The Power Couple Continues to Inspire Fans

Zendaya and Tom Holland remain two of Hollywood’s most beloved stars, thanks not only to their successful careers but also to the authenticity they bring to their public lives.

Zendaya’s recent comments highlight why Holland has become such a respected figure among Marvel fans. His commitment to Spider-Man extends far beyond the movie set, influencing how he interacts with audiences and carries himself as a role model.

As Spider-Man: Brand New Day approaches, fans can look forward to seeing the duo reunite on screen while continuing to inspire audiences off screen as well.

Marvel’s X-Men Reboot Could Focus on Young, Lesser-Known Actors

Marvel Studios may be preparing to take the X-Men in a younger, fresher direction.

As the studio continues developing its long-awaited X-Men reboot, new reports suggest Marvel may be looking for lesser-known, younger actors instead of relying on major A-list stars. That approach could help keep production costs under control while allowing the story to focus on the classic X-Men themes of youth, identity, belonging, and finding your place in the world.

For actors, this could be big news.

The X-Men franchise has always been about outsiders discovering their powers, learning who they are, and finding a family at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. If Marvel truly wants a younger cast, the reboot could become one of the biggest opportunities for rising talent in Hollywood.

Marvel’s X-Men Reboot Is Moving Forward

Marvel’s new X-Men movie has been discussed for years, especially after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox and gained access to the X-Men characters.

Now, the project appears to be gaining momentum.

Jake Schreier, who directed Marvel’s Thunderbolts, has been tapped to direct the upcoming X-Men reboot. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has praised Schreier’s ability to handle character interactions and connect with younger audiences.

Feige has also described the X-Men as a story that, at its core, should feel youth-oriented. That direction makes sense because many of the original X-Men comics focused on young mutants learning how to control their powers while dealing with fear, prejudice, and self-discovery.

Rather than building the reboot around expensive superstar casting, Marvel may be aiming for a new generation of actors who can grow with the franchise.

Why Marvel May Want Younger, Lesser-Known Actors

According to industry reports, Marvel is expected to look at younger talent instead of filling the X-Men reboot with A-list stars.

One reason is cost.

Major stars can make superhero movies extremely expensive, especially if they are expected to appear across multiple films, streaming series, and crossover events. By casting lesser-known actors, Marvel could reduce upfront salary costs while creating long-term franchise flexibility.

But the decision is not just about money.

A younger cast could also help the reboot feel more emotionally connected to the heart of the X-Men story. The franchise has always worked best when it explores people who feel different, misunderstood, or rejected by society.

The X-Men are not just superheroes. They are students, outsiders, runaways, leaders, rebels, and people trying to understand who they are.

That makes a younger cast a natural fit.

A Different Direction From Earlier Marvel Movies

This strategy would mark a noticeable shift from some of Marvel’s biggest past projects.

Movies like Avengers: Endgame leaned heavily on major stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, and others. Those actors helped define the Marvel Cinematic Universe and became global icons.

However, the X-Men reboot may need a different kind of launch.

Instead of bringing in already-famous names, Marvel may want audiences to discover the next Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Rogue, Beast, Nightcrawler, or Professor X from the ground up.

That approach could make the reboot feel new instead of simply trying to copy the previous Fox X-Men films.

The Legacy X-Men Are Still Returning

Even though Marvel may be planning a younger X-Men reboot, several familiar X-Men actors are still expected to return in Avengers: Doomsday.

Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, Kelsey Grammer, and Alan Cumming have all been connected to the upcoming crossover film. Channing Tatum, who appeared as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine, has also been part of the wider X-Men conversation.

This suggests Marvel may be using Avengers: Doomsday to honor the legacy Fox X-Men era before launching a new version of the team for the future.

That could create a major “passing of the torch” moment.

Fans may get one more look at the classic X-Men actors before Marvel introduces a younger generation of mutants built specifically for the MCU.

Who Could Appear in Marvel’s X-Men Reboot?

Marvel has not officially confirmed which X-Men characters will appear in the reboot.

However, fans are already speculating about core characters such as:

Wolverine
Storm
Cyclops
Jean Grey
Rogue
Beast
Jubilee
Gambit
Nightcrawler
Professor X
Magneto

If Marvel is focusing on a youth-oriented story, the movie may spend more time inside Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. That could mean the reboot follows young mutants as they discover their powers, train together, and face the world’s fear of mutants.

This would allow Marvel to build the team slowly instead of rushing straight into a huge global superhero event.

Why the X-Men Reboot Matters

The X-Men are one of Marvel’s most important superhero teams.

Long before the MCU became the biggest franchise in Hollywood, the X-Men movies helped prove that superhero films could become mainstream blockbusters. The original X-Men film was released in 2000 and helped open the door for the modern comic book movie era.

Now, Marvel has the chance to reintroduce the team to a new generation.

That comes with huge pressure.

Fans already have strong feelings about characters like Wolverine, Storm, Magneto, and Professor X. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine became one of the most beloved superhero performances of all time, which means whoever eventually takes over that role will face major expectations.

But that also creates opportunity.

If Marvel casts rising actors, the new X-Men movie could become a career-changing launchpad.

What This Means for Actors

For actors, Marvel’s reported casting direction is important.

If the studio truly wants younger, lesser-known talent, that means the search could be wider than usual. Instead of only considering established stars, Marvel may be more open to actors who are still building their careers.

That does not mean the casting process will be easy.

A Marvel role requires more than looking the part. Actors need emotional range, physical ability, screen presence, chemistry with an ensemble, and the ability to handle global attention.

The X-Men also require performers who can make superpowers feel human. These characters are not just action heroes. They deal with fear, rejection, identity, family, and responsibility.

Actors hoping to work on major franchise projects should focus on preparation now.

That means:

Keep your headshots updated.
Refresh your acting resume.
Build a strong reel.
Take acting classes consistently.
Stay physically prepared for action-heavy roles.
Practice emotional scenes, not just action scenes.
Create a professional online presence.
Apply to verified casting opportunities.

The next X-Men cast could include actors audiences do not know yet. That is exactly why rising performers should stay ready.

Could This Be a Big Break for New Talent?

Yes.

The X-Men reboot could become one of the biggest opportunities for young actors in Hollywood.

Many major stars were not household names before landing franchise roles. Superhero movies can turn actors into international names almost overnight.

If Marvel decides to build the X-Men around a younger ensemble, the studio may want actors who can grow with the roles for years. That could mean multi-picture deals, crossover appearances, Disney+ projects, press tours, and major global exposure.

For actors, that kind of opportunity can change everything.

Final Thoughts

Marvel’s X-Men reboot appears to be moving toward a younger, more character-focused direction.

By choosing lesser-known actors, Marvel could save money while also giving the franchise a fresh start. More importantly, a younger cast could help return the X-Men to what made the team powerful in the first place: stories about identity, belonging, fear, acceptance, and discovering your purpose.

The old X-Men era may get one final spotlight in Avengers: Doomsday, but the future of mutants in the MCU could belong to a new generation.

For rising actors, that is the lesson.

Stay ready.

The next major superhero role may not go to the biggest star. It may go to the actor who is prepared when the opportunity arrives.

Angelina Jolie Opens Up About Emotional New Film Couture

Key Takeaways

  • Angelina Jolie says her new film Couture reflects a renewed desire to embrace life.
  • The movie follows a woman facing divorce and a breast cancer diagnosis while working during Paris Fashion Week.
  • Jolie found the project deeply personal due to her family’s history with cancer.
  • The actress described making the film as a healing and transformative experience.
  • Jolie learned French for the role and earned praise from director Alice Winocour.
  • Couture arrives in theaters on June 26.

Why Couture Resonated So Deeply With Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie is opening up about the personal connection she shares with her upcoming drama Couture, revealing that the film arrived at a meaningful moment in her life.

The Oscar-winning actress stars in the highly anticipated movie from director Alice Winocour, playing a filmmaker documenting Paris Fashion Week while navigating a difficult divorce and a life-changing breast cancer diagnosis.

For Jolie, the story goes beyond heartbreak and illness. At its core, she believes Couture is about finding hope, connection, and the determination to keep moving forward.

Speaking to People, Jolie explained why the film’s message felt so important.

“It has something to say that I thought could be useful to people, showing how everyone is dealing with things that make us very human, and that if we can figure out how to live through challenges by leaning on each other and having more empathy towards one another, the better and less alone we will be.”

A Story About Choosing Life

While cancer plays a major role in the film, Jolie emphasized that Couture is not defined by loss.

Instead, she sees it as a story about embracing life, even during the most difficult moments.

“The film is not about an end for my character but rather about a renewed desire to live life until your last breath, which particularly resonates with me at this time in my life.”

The actress also admitted she may not have been emotionally prepared for such a vulnerable role earlier in her career.

“I am not sure I was strong enough even five years ago to do this. To be open and trusting to share and be vulnerable again.”

That honesty and vulnerability have become central themes in the film, helping create a story that audiences may find both moving and relatable.

Angelina Jolie’s Personal Connection to the Cancer Storyline

The cancer storyline carried particular emotional weight for Jolie because of her own family’s experience with the disease.

Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, passed away in 2007 after battling ovarian and breast cancer. Jolie’s aunt and grandmother also died following battles with cancer, making the subject deeply personal.

The actress has spoken publicly for years about her family’s medical history and her decision to undergo preventive surgeries after discovering she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation.

During the filming of Couture, Jolie found comfort in keeping her mother’s memory close.

She revealed that she wore her mother’s necklace while shooting the movie, helping her feel connected throughout the emotional process.

Speaking with Variety, Jolie said:

“I felt very vulnerable. I feel like it’s such a personal film. It felt so private that in my mind, it’s probably the one film that doesn’t feel like a film.”

The Healing Power of Storytelling

Despite the emotional challenges, Jolie described the experience of making Couture as unexpectedly healing.

The actress believes projects that tackle difficult subjects often create the strongest bonds among cast and crew members.

“I have always found the heaviest films tend to have the most loving sets. There’s something quite comforting about having real conversations and having real feelings with a shared community.”

Throughout production, Jolie was reminded how common experiences with illness and grief are.

She reflected on how nearly everyone involved with the film had experienced the loss of someone they loved or had supported someone through a serious illness.

“One in three people have cancer, and most everybody’s been in a hospital room with somebody they’ve loved.”

The shared understanding created an environment of compassion and support that helped shape the film.

Learning French for the Role

Jolie’s dedication to authenticity extended beyond the emotional aspects of the performance.

For Couture, she worked extensively to improve her French-speaking abilities and fully immerse herself in the role.

The effort impressed director Alice Winocour, who praised the actress’s commitment to the project.

“She really immersed herself in the part and was obsessed with the idea of speaking French, even more than me.”

Winocour noted that Jolie’s French heritage made the experience even more meaningful.

“Her mother was French, so there were many things that were very intimate. She really dedicated herself to the movie.”

The preparation reflects a growing trend among top Hollywood actors who are increasingly learning new languages and skills to deliver authentic performances for international productions.

  • Embracing life despite uncertainty

These themes have already generated significant buzz among film critics and moviegoers ahead of the film’s release.

Tim Allen Needed Voice Coaching for Toy Story 5 Return

Key Takeaways

  • Tim Allen worked with a professional voice coach before recording Toy Story 5.
  • Sound engineers told the actor that Buzz Lightyear sounded older during early recordings.
  • Allen learned vocal warm-up techniques commonly used by opera and Broadway performers.
  • Tom Hanks also shared how he maintains Woody’s signature voice.
  • Toy Story 5 will introduce a new tablet character named Lilypad, creating challenges for the beloved toy gang.

Tim Allen Turned to a Voice Coach for Toy Story 5

Returning to one of animation’s most iconic roles proved to be more challenging than Tim Allen expected.

The actor recently revealed that he sought help from a professional voice coach after receiving feedback during the early recording sessions for Toy Story 5. According to Allen, sound engineers noticed that Buzz Lightyear’s voice sounded older than audiences were used to hearing.

At 73 years old, Allen has been voicing Buzz for more than three decades. The original Toy Story premiered in 1995 when he was just 42, making his return to the franchise a unique challenge.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Allen recalled his reaction to the feedback.

“Early on when we did this first radio plug for this one, T5, in a nice way some of the engineers were going, ‘Buzz sounds a little old,’ and I didn’t know how to take that.”

Rather than letting the comments discourage him, Allen worked with a vocal coach associated with the New York City Opera to strengthen and prepare his voice for the demanding role.

How Tim Allen Recreated Buzz Lightyear’s Iconic Voice

Allen explained that maintaining Buzz Lightyear’s distinctive sound requires more technique than fans might realize.

His voice coach reassured him that age was not the issue. Instead, she emphasized the importance of warming up properly before recording sessions.

“You’re not old. Don’t get that in your head. You do have to warm up at your age. You can’t just get right into it.”

The actor said Buzz’s vocal delivery requires a specific modulation that can be difficult to reproduce consistently without preparation.

To regain the character’s familiar tone, Allen adopted vocal exercises often used by opera singers and Broadway performers. These exercises helped him improve vocal flexibility and endurance before stepping behind the microphone.

He joked about the process, saying:

“Maybe it’s because I’m 900 years old now. And with some vocal exercises that opera singers do, Broadway people — that’s a lot of exercise, so I had to learn the process of warming up.”

Why Voice Acting Becomes More Challenging With Age

Allen’s experience highlights a growing reality in the entertainment industry. As long-running franchises continue for decades, actors often face the challenge of preserving familiar character voices.

Voice coaches are increasingly important for veteran performers returning to beloved roles. Proper vocal training can help maintain consistency, reduce strain, and extend an actor’s career.

Animation franchises such as Toy Story depend heavily on recognizable voices. Even subtle changes in tone can be noticeable to audiences who have followed these characters for years.

For Allen, vocal preparation became essential to ensuring Buzz Lightyear still sounded like the heroic Space Ranger fans know and love.

Tom Hanks Shares His Secret for Voicing Woody

Allen is not the only longtime cast member who uses special techniques to bring a character to life.

Tom Hanks, who returns as Woody in Toy Story 5, revealed that he relies on breathing techniques to achieve the cowboy’s signature voice.

According to Hanks, Woody’s vocal style comes from a different place than his normal speaking voice.

“I have to get out of my neck and come from the diaphragm because that’s all Woody does!”

The actor’s comments demonstrate how much physical control goes into voice acting, even for performers who have played the same roles for decades.

Tom Hanks Reflects on Three Decades of Toy Story

More than 30 years after the release of the original Toy Story, Hanks admits he is amazed the franchise is still thriving.

Speaking with People, the actor praised the upcoming installment and its place within the larger Toy Story universe.

“I have seen it. I don’t know how they do it, but it is a vibrant and proper chapter in the Toy Story canon. None of us can believe that we’re still a part of it.”

While Hanks remained tight-lipped about specific plot details, he hinted that audiences can expect the story to continue evolving.

“All I can say is the saga continues.”

What Is Toy Story 5 About?

Disney and Pixar have already teased details about the highly anticipated sequel.

This time, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the toys face a modern challenge that many families can relate to: technology.

The official synopsis introduces a brand-new character named Lilypad, a tablet device that arrives with strong opinions about what is best for Bonnie.

As digital entertainment competes with traditional playtime, the toys must find their place in a changing world.

The synopsis asks:

“Will playtime ever be the same?”

The storyline reflects a timely theme as children increasingly engage with tablets, smartphones, and digital media, making Toy Story 5 one of Pixar’s most relevant entries yet.

Why Fans Are Excited for Toy Story 5

The Toy Story franchise remains one of the most successful animated series in film history. With beloved characters returning, new challenges for the toy gang, and emotional storytelling at its core, anticipation for Toy Story 5 continues to grow.

For longtime fans, the return of Tim Allen and Tom Hanks represents more than nostalgia. It highlights the enduring legacy of characters that have entertained multiple generations.

Thanks to a little help from professional voice coaching, Buzz Lightyear appears ready for another adventure to infinity and beyond.

Final Thoughts

Tim Allen’s candid comments offer a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication required to maintain an iconic animated character. From vocal coaching to specialized warm-up routines, the actor worked hard to ensure Buzz Lightyear remains as recognizable as ever in Toy Story 5.

As Disney and Pixar prepare for the next chapter in the franchise, fans can look forward to seeing how Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang navigate a world increasingly shaped by technology.

Introducing No-Limit Apply Jobs on Project Casting

0

At Project Casting, we’re always working to make it easier for talent to discover and apply to the right casting opportunities.

We know that daily application limits can sometimes make talent choose carefully between opportunities they are interested in. That’s why we’re introducing No-Limit Apply, a new feature that gives talent more flexibility when applying to selected jobs.

What Is No-Limit Apply?

No-Limit Apply is a new feature that allows talent to apply to certain jobs without that application counting toward their daily apply limit.

When a job is marked as No-Limit Apply, talent can submit an application without using up their standard daily application quota.

This means selected opportunities remain accessible even if a talent has already used their daily application for the day.

How No-Limit Apply Works

When browsing casting calls and job listings on Project Casting, talent may see a No-Limit Apply label on certain jobs.

If a job has this label, applying to that job will not reduce the talent’s daily apply limit.

For example, if a talent has a daily limit of 1 job application per day, they can still apply to a No-Limit Apply job even after applying to a regular job that day.

Why We Created No-Limit Apply

Project Casting is built to help talent find opportunities and connect with casting professionals. No-Limit Apply was created to make selected opportunities easier to access.

This feature helps:

• Give talent more flexibility when applying to jobs

• Make selected casting calls easier to access

• Reduce friction for talent who want to apply to relevant opportunities

• Support jobs that may benefit from wider talent participation

• Help talent discover more opportunities without immediately using their daily application limit

What Talent Will See

Jobs that are eligible may display a No-Limit Apply label near the job category or listing details.

Talent may also see a note explaining that the job doesn’t count toward the daily apply limit.

Regular jobs that do not have this label may still count toward the talent’s daily application quota.

What This Means for Talent

With No-Limit Apply, talent can apply to selected opportunities without worrying about using up their daily application limit.

Here’s an example:

  1. A talent applies to one regular casting call.
  2. That application counts toward their daily apply limit.
  3. Later, they find a job marked No-Limit Apply.
  4. They can still apply because that job is excluded from the daily quota.

No-Limit Apply gives talent more chances to connect with opportunities while keeping the daily application system in place for regular jobs.

Important Note

No-Limit Apply only applies to jobs that are specifically marked with the No-Limit Apply label.

Applying to a No-Limit Apply job does not guarantee selection, booking, or a response from the casting company. Talent should always review the full job details before applying.

Start Exploring No-Limit Apply Jobs

No-Limit Apply jobs will appear directly in Project Casting job search results when available. Look for the No-Limit Apply label while browsing casting calls, auditions, and entertainment jobs on Project Casting. Check out all No-Limit Apply Jobs here.
