Introduction
Peacock is diving deeper into prestige crime drama with its latest straight-to-series order: M.I.A., a bold and gritty female-led crime saga set in South Florida. Created by Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque, the new show promises sharp storytelling, high stakes, and an ensemble cast set against the backdrop of Miami’s underworld.
With filming underway and casting already active, this is an incredible opportunity for actors and background talent looking to break into high-end television.
About the Series
M.I.A. tells the story of Etta “Tiger” Jonze, a young woman who witnesses the brutal murder of her family and embarks on a mission to avenge them. As she exacts justice and survives the seedy streets of Miami, she also begins building her own empire — ultimately transforming into South Florida’s most powerful criminal Queenpin.
Produced by MRC and led by executive producer/showrunner Karen Campbell (Outlander, Dexter), the series will be directed by Stefano Sollima (ZeroZeroZero, Gomorrah), bringing cinematic flair and global crime storytelling to the screen.
