Divergent star ‘Shailene Woodley’ and Ansel Elgort change from brother and sisters in Divergent to cancer afflicted teens who fall in love in Fox’s new movie The Fault in Our Stars.
The Fault in Our Stars is based on the best-selling novel by John Green. Check out the extended trailer that includes scenes of Mike Birbiglia’s character playing cheesy songs to the cancer support group where the love interests actually meet.

Adam Sandler is getting ready for his next feature film with Sony Pictures.
According to Deadline, Adam Sandler will work along side Josh Gad, and Kevin James in the new movie Pixles.
Sony Pictures announced that it will release the Chris Columbus film Pixels starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Josh Gad in summer 2015, with Michelle Monaghan and Peter Dinklage joining the cast. Principal photography will commence in June.

Filming is set to begin as early as next month for the new movie. “Pixels” centers on aliens that invade planet Earth after misinterpreting video feeds of classic arcade games as a threat. The President, played by Kevin James calls on his his childhood friend, Jules Brenner played by Adam Sandler, a former arcade champ to assist in saving the planet.
Josh Gad will play a socially awkward genius with a lot of conspiracy theories.

HBO’s “True Detective” director will team up with John Legend for a new feature film.
Since the hit series ‘True Detective’ Cary Fukunaga has become one of the most sought after director’s in Hollywood. According to Deadline, he is teaming with John Legend and his Get Lifted Film Co. partner Mike Jackson, to create a feature film version of The Black Count: Glory, Revolution, Betrayal, And The Real Count of Monte Cristo for Sony.
Get Lifted have optioned the Pulitzer-winning 2012 biography written by Tom Reiss that chronicles the life and adventures of French Revolution-era General Thomas-Alexandre Dumas. Jackson and Ty Stiklorius will produce the pic with Fukunaga’s Parliament of Owls. Legend, his manager Troy Carter and Sony’s Josh Bratman will serve as executive producers.
“Cary’s exceptional talent as a writer/director will bring to life all of the action and drama that have made The Black Count such a compelling read,” Michael De Luca, who is overseeing the pic for Sony told me today. “He’s got a great take on the material and we’re thrilled to be working with him, John, Thais, Troy and Mike,” added the Columbia Pictures President of Production.
The movie centers on a French nobleman and a salve woman from Africa. Dumas becomes the highest ranking person of color to ever serve in any European army. Dumas was also the first non-white to become a brigadier general in the French Military. Dumas’ accomplishments were used as the basis for the novels written by his son, Alexandre Dumas the writer of The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo.

The controversy this week has centered on the racist comments Donald Sterling allegedly made to his girlfriend in a recorded phone conversation.
The Los Angeles Clippers team responded to the racist comments by staging a silent protest before Game 4 of their play-offs yesterday, wearing their red warm-up shrits inside out to conceal the Clippers logo.
Sterling was recently identified on a 9-minute recording posted by TMZ and an extended 15 minute tape obtained by Deadspin this week telling his girlfriend V. Stiviano not to bring black people including former hoops star Magic Johnson to his NBA games.
Magic Johnson responded with the comments by Twitter and appear on ABC’s play-off pre-game show calling for NBA commissioner Adam Silver to “[do] his due diligence” and “come down hard” on Sterling, who “should not own a team anymore.”
“As an owner, I’m obviously disgusted that a fellow team owner could hold such sickening and offensive views,” said fellow ex-NBA superstar and current Charlotte Bobcats owner in a statement. “I’m confident that Adam Silver will make a full investigation and take appropriate action quickly.”
President Obama also responded to the comments. “I have confidence that the NBA commissioner Adam Silver, a good man, will address this. Obviously the NBA’s a league that is beloved by fans all across the country and it’s got an awful lot of African-American players and is steeped in African-American culture. I suspect the NBA is going to be deeply concerned in resolving this…The United States continues to wrestles with a legacy of race, slavery and segregation. That’s still there, the vestiges of discrimination.”
TNT commentator and former NBA star Charles Barkley weighed in with CNN’s Don Lemon saying “In my opinion, he has to be suspended.” Lemon tracked the breaking story on Friday from the CNN newsdesk. “This guy is an idiot,” he said of Sterling. “I felt like I was listening to someone from the 1930s, ’40s or ’50s.”
“When you keep a vicious dog and you know that it’s vicious, you can’t be surprised when one day it bites someone,” said sports commentator and Real Sports host Bryant Gumbel on NBC’s Sunday Beltway show Meet the Press.

Warner Bros. is getting ready for their next major motion picture following Batman vs. Superman.
According to recent reports, Warner Bros. is planning on a making a Justice League feature film with Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the same roles they have been chosen to fill for Man of Steel 2.
While a release for the Batman vs Superman feature film is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016 there are no official release dates for Justice League. However, Hollywood executives have chosen Zack Snyder as a director for the production.
Snyder is a big name in Hollywood being involved in Man of Steel, Watchmen, 300, and Sucker Punch. Snyder definitely takes a different approach to filmmaking. In an interview regarding Man of Steel, he commented on the way he approached the movie in comparison to the predecessors before him.”All the movies I’ve made, I’ve made with a slight bit of irony. Not even a slight bit. A fair amount. But the ironic part of [ ‘Man of Steel’] is that it’s not ironic. You know what I mean? No tongue in cheek, no winking at the camera, no apologies. It’s Superman. He deserves that. In my mind, we really had to act as if no films had been made. It’s like we just found this comic book lying on the ground under a bed, and we were like, This would be a cool movie.”
So, with the upcoming Justice League movie expect a tragic heroes, slow motion fight scenes, highly colorful visual effects and a high body count – ‘300‘ alone has an estimated body count of 585.

Atari myth confirmed in a new documentary filmed this Saturday.
XBOX Studios and Fuel Entertainment’s latest documentary has gained a lot of attention this weekend after hundreds of buried cartridges of Atari’s 1982 video game, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial video game.
According to Deadline, the video game was found in a dumpsite in Alamorgordo, New Mexico.
The archaeological discovery confirmed a long-held legend in the gaming world that Atari had buried millions of unsold units of what’s believed to be one of the worst games ever made when it tanked over 30 years ago.
It was rumored that producers wanted to capitalize off of the hit movie that the video game was rushed into production.
The dig was filmed for a new documentary by Zak Penn from X-Men: The Last Stand and is produced by Simon Chenn an Oscar-winning documentary producer (Man on Wire).

China has recently banned three popular American television shows from streaming in their country.
The Chinese “State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television” has announced that they ordered local video sites to stop the streaming of some U.S. TV shows.
According to the Associated Press, the series include The Big Bang Theory, The Good Wife and NCIS.
There has been no reason reported for the shutdown. According to Deadline, online streaming is not censored as much in comparison to television and movies in China. But, websites that license television shows that stream ads, are sometimes ordered to remove their content in which China’s government considers unsuitable.
Other shows that are not censored include House of Cards, Nikita, and Masters of Sex. Shows that many consider more controversial than The Big Bang Theory.
