There are a ton of spin-offs on the way. Between The Walking Dead spinoff, FOX’s 24 Reboot, and How I Met Your Mother spin-off it is not hard to believe that ABC will not reboot the cult classic, “Lost”.
In a recent interview with EW, Carlton Cuse, the showrunner for Lost suggested that ABC is likely to reboot the series.“It’s a valuable franchise, and there will be some young, bright writer or writers who will come up with a great idea that the network responds to,” Carlton Cuse told EW. “And that’ll be great. I do not begrudge ABC the opportunity to do something more with the franchise.”

But when will this new series appear? Well, ABC is struggling to find a new popular series to attract people’s attention. With recent cancellations of Once Upon a Time and poor ratings for Dancing with the Stars you may see a Lost spin-off during next year’s pilot season.
What do you think? Should ABC reboot lost? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below!
Scandal’s Columbus Short will not be returning to the ABC hit series next season after his contract was not renewed.
According to Deadline, many believe this decision is due to the recent incident’s between Short and the law.
Columbus Short was recently arrested over an alleged brawl in a Los Angeles restaurant and is facing up to four years in prison and getting accused by his wife of threats to kill her and himself with a knife.
Short released the following statement through his publicist:
“At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble on television today. I would like to first thank Shonda Rhimes for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast. Thank you GLADIATORS, who have supported me throughout my entire career and of course to ABC and Shondaland for allowing me to play such a pivotal role in the Scandal series. I have enjoyed every single minute of it. Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas. I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful.”
It is often heard that Shonda Rhimes does not like her cast members to engage in any off stage dramatics. For example, on the television series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ an incident between co-star Isaiah Washington and a fellow cast member left Washington without a job.

Filming for Netflix ‘House of Cards’ will continue in Maryland.
After a tense battle between producers and Maryland representatives, Kevin Spacey will again call Maryland home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gov. Martin O’ Malley, and Media Rights Capital have reached an agreement with the state of Maryland to keep the ‘House of Cards’ series in the state.
The hitch had been that Media Rights Capital said it needed a $15 million rebate for season three and the state had to ante up more money for its tax credit incentive program. The show received $26 million in tax credits in its first two seasons. Legislation passed in Maryland to raise the amount and limit on what one could receive but then was scuttled in a conference committee during the final hours of the recently ended legislative session. Now a deal has been reached, and House of Cards will receive a total of $11.5 million in 2014 through a combination of both the tax incentive program and an additional $7.5 million in grants authorized to be taken from the 2015 fiscal year budget.
Instead of a $15 million dollar rebate, ‘House of Cards’ receives a total of $11.5 million and an additional $7.5 million in grants. So, it looks like Frank Underwood’s negotiations wore off on the production company as they made out with a total of $19 million worth of benefits instead of the $15 million they originally negotiated for. Jaguar PS / Shutterstock.com “Spoiler alert: We’re going to keep the 3,700 jobs and more than 100 million dollars of economic activity and investment that House of Cards generates right here in Maryland,” Gov. Martin O’ Malley said on his blog. “Media Rights Capital has been a great supporter of the people and entertainment community in Maryland, and we couldn’t be happier to continue our partnership.” Chris Parypa Photography / Shutterstock.com “House of Cards is the gift that keeps on giving, having injected hundreds of millions of dollars into the local economy while also helping to provide thousands of jobs to our Maryland community,” commented Asif Satchu, co-CEO of MRC. “We are very grateful to both Governor O’Malley for his tireless efforts to help keep jobs in Maryland and the leadership of the general assembly for their continued advocacy and support.” Production was previously on hold. But, filming is set to resume this summer. What do yout hink of the

Peter Jackson has just revealed that he plans on retitling the final installment of The Hobbit from There and Back Again to The Hobbit:The Battle of the Five Armies.
Here is what Peter Jackson wrote on his Facebook Page, which is where he revealed the new title:
Inside Information…
Our journey to make The Hobbit Trilogy has been in some ways like Bilbo’s own, with hidden paths revealing their secrets to us as we’ve gone along. “There and Back Again” felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor, when Bilbo’s arrival there, and departure, were both contained within the second film. But with three movies, it suddenly felt misplaced—after all, Bilbo has already arrived “there” in the “Desolation of Smaug”.
When we did the premiere trip late last year, I had a quiet conversation with the studio about the idea of revisiting the title. We decided to keep an open mind until a cut of the film was ready to look at. We reached that point last week, and after viewing the movie, we all agreed there is now one title that feels completely appropriate.
And so: “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” it is.
As Professor Tolkien intended, “There and Back Again” encompasses Bilbo’s entire adventure, so don’t be surprised if you see it used on a future box-set of all three movies.
Before then however, we have a film to finish, and much to share with you. It’s been a nice quiet time for us—Jabez and I happily editing away in a dark cave in Wellington—but those halcyon days are quickly coming to an end. It will soon be time to step into the light. Expect to see and hear much about The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in the coming months.
And there’s also The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Extended Cut, which we’re in the process of finishing, with over 25 mins of new scenes, all scored with original music composed by Howard Shore.
It’ll be a fun year!
