‘The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story‘ is coming to ruin your childhood.
Dustin Diamond (Screech) wrote a book several years ago about working on the show Saved by the Bell and how everyone except for him was abusing drugs and have sex with each other. The entire book did not really do that well, and Diamond later apologized for exaggerating some of the stories.

Now, thanks to hours of brand new interviews conducted for this film (obtained independently of Diamond and his book), the real story will be brought to life in The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story, a new Lifetime television movie that guarantees no one will be able to look at the classic kids’ comedy the same way ever again! Saved by the Bell featured Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Lark Voorhies, Dennis Haskins, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, and Mario Lopez. Saved by the Bell would later lead the way to other shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Dawson’s Creek, and The O.C. that introduce young audiences to critical moral dilemmas.
The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story premieres September 1st at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
