The Walking Dead ratings finally increase in week three.
Season 6 ratings of The Walking Dead were starting to become a major problem for the AMC networks. With fewer and fewer people interested in watching it on Sundays and would rather watch it on DVR, AMC’s stock price plummetted.
However, with the release of The Walking Dead season 6, episode 3 things are starting to look up for the hit zombie drama.
According to Deadline, ratings for The Walking Dead are finally up with The Talking Dead breaking a ratings record.
The potentially game-changing third episode of the sixth season of The Walking Dead drew 13.1 million total viewers on Sunday with 8.5 million among adults 18-49 for a 6.8 rating, according to Nielsen.
That’s an 8% rise in both its overall audience and the key demo for October 25’s episode, titled “Thank You,” compared with the October 18 airing of TWD.
To make things better for the Walking Dead, ratings for The Talking Dead are finally increasing showing an increase demand for more zombie drama and the Walking Dead after show. In fact, ratings for The Talking Dead increased by 49%.
Chewebacca appears before a court in Ukraine after man inside a Star Wars costume failed to show ID.
According to The Guardian, a man wearing a Chewbacca costume was arrested for not presenting identification documents. Police had earlier detained him at a polling station where he said he was was going to vote for Darth Vader in a mayoral election.
Darth Vaders have been frequent candidates at Ukrainian elections, with a reported 16 of them taking part in last year’s parliamentary vote. The Vaders, many of whom have changed their names legally, usually campaign in full costume. A statue of Vladimir Lenin was given a makeover and unveiled in a new guise as Darth Vader last week, in response to a Ukrainian law banning symbols of the Communist past.
Chewbacca’s arrest was not the only controversy on election day. More significantly, the vote was cancelled in the city of Mariupol, close to the front line between pro-Ukraine forces and Russia-backed separatists. The official reason was due to spoiled ballot papers, and there are plans to reschedule the vote in a fortnight.
Apparently, recent elections in Ukraine have become victim to voter-buying, spoiler candidates and backroom deals, leading to many people wondering why Ukraine has not changed after the Maidan revolution that occurred last year.
While many actors feel the need to do anything to land a role in a movie or TV show, Aziz Ansari says there is one line that he will not cross.
Aziz Ansari once turned down a role in 2007’s Transformers because he refused to do an Indian accent during an audition. His friend Ravi Pati would later land the role but, Ansari says that Hollywood has a major problem.
“Should I do an accent? Should I not do the accent? That’s a thing that a lot of minority actors grapple with,” Aziz Ansari said during an EW Fest Q&A for his new Netflix series, “Master of None.”
“It was a role for like a call-center guy who has an accent. And I was like, ‘No, I’m not doing it.’ And then Ravi was like, ‘I’ll do it.’ And Ravi did it and made some decent money. And I don’t have anything against someone who does the accent. I understand. You got to work, and some people don’t think it’s a problem.”
The 32-year-old comedian, who created his Netflix show because he wasn’t being cast in any other roles, said he and his costar frequently debated about doing accents on-screen. They also deal with the issue on their new TV show with scenes illustrating how Hollywood often portrays Indian men and women in TV shows and movies.
Racial diversity on TV and movies is a major issue and hot topic in Hollywood. Especially following Deadline’s article about white actors losing out on roles due to color blind casting. Or, the recent #BoycottStarWars after it was revealed the leading actor in Star Wars: The Force Awakens was John Boyega, a Black actor.

If a movie is released in theaters and it breaks even, then it is considered a box office bomb or box office flop, thos losing money for the studio, production company, or distributor. In rare instances, a movie can make money during home media sales, rentals, or TV broadcast rights. But, this rarely ever happens.
Following the success of Fifty Shades of Grey, Furious 7, and Jurassic World, many analysts are predicting that 2015 will have the biggest year ever at the box office. However, over the weekend, there were bombs in the box office then there are explosions in a Michael Bay movie. Four major studio movie movies were released last weekend and in total they barely made $11 million. For example, Steve Jobs, The Last Witch Hunter, Paranormal Activity 6, Rock the Kasbah and Jem and the Holograms all bombed in the box office.
Each movie was released in over 2,000 movie theaters but made less than $3 million dollars each. But, those movies are not alone, the director of Catfish tried making a feature film with Zac Efron, We Are Your Friends, and that bombed in the box office. Johnny Depp tried to be funny again in the comedy Mortdecai and that movie flopped. Then there is Sean Penn’s Taken rip-off, The Gunman which also bombed in the box office.
Which begs the question, with so much money invested into making these movies, how come studios are unable to figure out how to make a movie worth seeing?
For a majority of the cases, large production costs, major marketing efforts, and the failure to connect with audiences all led to major Box Office let downs.
While, last weekend was only an example of how uninterested people are about recent major motion pictures, Netflix was able to showcase Beasts of No Nation starring Idris Elba to $3 million people in less than a month; Showing a clear shift from traditional movie going.

Theaters are creating strict restrictions on cosplay fans for the upcoming release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

With the increase in the number of movie theater shootings, movie theaters are taking extra precautions to protect the fans and moviegoers.
This tweet shows a sign at a Cinemark theater warning that, while Star Wars costumes are welcomed by the theater, Cinemark is placing restrictions on the type of costumes Star Wars fans are able to wear. In fact, Cinemark revealed that they will not allow audience members with costumes that cover their faces or hide their identity, and there will also be ban against simulated weapons, ranging from blasters to even lightsabers. While there is no specific reason cited on the sign, this is probably a direct response to the increase in movie theater shootings in the past five years. Especially, after the Lafayette shooting which left three people dead and seven people injured after a gunman opened fire at the Grand Theatre in Lafayette, Louisiana. Regardless, fans are pretty upset about the new movie restrictions with many people taking to Twitter to voice their frustration.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was co-written and directed by JJ Abrams and takes place 30 years after ‘Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi,” when the rebels crushed the Galactic Empire. While audiences will see some of their favorite actors return to their iconic roles, a new wave of villains and heroes are expected to appear in the new feature film.

French teens are starting riots after watching ‘Paranormal Activity 6’…but this is not the first time.
Why are so many French teens rioting at American horror movies?
Reports from France are suggesting Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension may get pulled from theaters after teens gathered and rioted during a screening of the American horror movie. According to a report by L’Independentreads:
It all started in the early afternoon when fifty most teenagers aged 9-13 years, gathered near the Castillet cinema Boulevard Wilson. Suddenly, around 4 PM, all of the young boarded various modes of free transportation, all in the same direction: the Mega Castillet cinema. They converged with another group of minors who were waiting there and immediately smelled “a good bargain.” A horde of hundreds kids that forced the cinema entrance… climbing the stairs four at a time, weaving in all directions, overturning bins, and sowing panic. They stormed a theater screening Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, destroying 3D glasses, tearing up seats, and throwing objects at the screen. [Theblood-shed.com]
The same thing happened in 2014 when the American horror movie Annabelle was pulled from theaters after a series of riots in theaters across France. According to reports, Marseille, Strasbourg, and Montpellier were getting thousands of teenagers showing for a 450 seat movie theater to see “Annabelle” and proceeded to tear up seats and riot during the movie.
“Some didn’t have the most elementary notion of how to behave,” theater owner Didier Tarizzo told The Times. “They were throwing popcorn and talking at the top of their voices or walking round. It’s not up to me to teach young people how to respect the law. What worried me was that a cinemagoer irritated by all the noise could have had a go at an adolescent.”
Do you think this is just a coincidence? Think again. The same thing happened in France in 2012 during the screenings of Paranormal Activity 4. Bloody Disgusting reported at the time that youth riots led to Sinister being pulled from several major French theaters, before the movie was ever released.
So it begs the question? Why are French kids rioting during American horror movies? Is it because each of the movies centers around evil children? French Film critic Alain Grasett argues, “It’s a very young audience, for whom the screening is a time to let loose. They go to see it as a joke, but it’s a pretext to go a little wild.”

Lamar Odom is slowly recovering from 12 reported strokes and according to TMZ, several staffers have been trying to take pictures of the former NBA championship winner.
According to reports, workers were trying to sneak a photo of Lamar Odom as he is fighting for his life inside the hospital. Sources closes to TMZ report that they tried to gain access to his medical records, which is a direct violation of HIPPA rules.
The nurses were later fired, according to reports.
But, it is important to point out that this is not the first time this has happened. Apparently, Kim Kardashian and Britney Spears had their privacy rights violated during their hospital stays, and the hospitals were forced to fire the workers who created the plans.

According to the NYPost, the FBI released an alert on Monday warning police departments across the country that a potentially dangerous anarchist group plans to ambush cops on Halloween.

According to the FBI report, the extremist group, which is known as the National Liberation Militia, has proposed “Halloween Revolt” that encourages followers to cause anarchy, attract the police and then viciously attack them.
The FBI reports that the members are being told to wear regular Halloween masks and use weapons such as bricks, guns, and bottles.

This news comes after the FBI chief argues that crime rates have increased due to the “Ferguson Effect”.

“I actually feel the lines continuing to arc away and maybe accelerating incident by incident, video by video, hashtag by hashtag,” Comey continued. “And that’s a terrible place for us to be.
“Just as those lines are arcing away from each other — and maybe, just maybe, because those lines are arcing away from each other — we have a crisis of violent crime in some of our major cities in this country.”
He continued by saying that the increase of smart phones is making police officers reluctant to do their job. “In today’s YouTube world, are officers reluctant to get out of their cars and do the work that controls violent crime?” he rhetorically asked during a speech at the University of Chicago Law School, according to a of the speech.

CW Network’s hit TV series The Originals is looking for vampires in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tammy Smith Casting, the extras casting director for The Originals is currently looking for actors, models, and talent to play vampires on an upcoming episode of the hit TV series The Originals.
The Originals are currently looking for “stylish, badass, sexy, men and women” to play vampires. Producers are looking for intense/tough/classy looking types between the ages of 20 to 30.
In addition, casting directors are looking for guys between the ages of 20 to 30 and 5’11 to 6’5. The Originals is also looking for women that are 5’7 to 6’0 tall only.
Filming will take place outside of Atlanta, Georgia in Conyers, Georgia on Friday, October 30th.
The Originals is a spin-off from The Vampire Diaries and set in New Orleans, The Originals centers on the Mikaelson siblings, otherwise known as the world’s original vampires: Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), and Rebekah (Claire Holt). Now Klaus must take down his protégé, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is now in charge of New Orleans, in order to re-take his city, as he originally built New Orleans.

Women nearly goes blind after a set of fake Halloween contact lenses became glued to her eyeballs.
Sarah Richards purchased novelty contact lenses which had a distinct white color to them. After going to a party and going to sleep without removing the contact lenses she woke up pain and unable to work for an entire week after an eye infection.
‘It was horrible. I bought the lenses for around £10 as a few of my friends were wearing them for the party too. As I’ve never worn contact lenses before, I didn’t know how to put them in or what they should have felt like once they were sat on my eyes. All I remember was that they were made from quite thick plastic and they felt uncomfortable on my eyes straight away. But after a while it settled down and I assumed everything was okay.’ [DailyMail]

She feared she had causes permanent damage to her eyes by using them. Richards went to the hospital where she was given eye drops and an eye bath. In addition, she was told to avoid straining her eyes, using make up or wearing contact lenses.
‘They told me not to wear lenses, but there was no way I’d have had anything near my eyes at that moment in time anyway. My pupils were scratched and sore and just felt raw, like they had been covered in grit. Because I work in beauty, I could hardly treat clients with big red eyes and no make up on, so I had to have a week off work. I know I should have taken them out, but I’m sure there’s a lot of people who go to Halloween parties, have a drink, and if they’re not used to wearing contacts, they would do the same as I did.
‘I would say to anyone thinking about novelty contact lenses to think twice , you need to be so careful and make sure that you know what you’re doing with them before they go anywhere near your face. ‘

Update: Jun 16, 2016 @ 2:08 PM: It’s official, Wicked movie is coming soon. Universal plans on releasing Wicked on December 20, 2019. After, nearly 9 years in development, Wicked live-action movie is coming soon. This should not come as a surprise. Globally, Wicked has earned $4 billion.
Published onOct 26, 2015 @ 15:26: In a recent interview with Film Divider, Into The Woods producer Mark Platt announced today that a movie version of the Broadway hit musical Wicked is currently in development with a planned 2016 release.
Here’s what Mark Platt had to say about the upcoming Wicked movie:
[A 2016 release date] is the goal, but I don’t know whether we’ll make that goal or not. We will make the movie, but like I said, the bar is really high. We’re going to scrutinise our work on the screenplay and our prep on the movie, and when we feel like it’s ready, okay. We’re not going to shoot a release date is what I’m saying. It’s in the works, it’s not in a rush. It took 27 years to make Into the Woods into a film from its original stage production, and 30 years with Les Mis. Some things take time for a reason.
Platt produced the original Wicked Broadway production.
Platt announced that Winnie Holzmann, the writer for TV shows such as Huge and My So-Called Life is currently working on the movie script.
Wicked will also be directed by Stephen Daldry of Billy Elliot.
In regards to casting, no official cast members have been announced yet.
Since Wicked hit Broadway it has been a major success. Over the past 12 years cast members including Kristin Chenoweth and Frozen breakout star Idina Menzel have entertained thousands of Wicked fans.
Wicked is the prequel to The Wizard of Oz and focuses on the early years of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch. It recently became the 11th longest-running show on Broadway history and the play is still running to this day. It is also one of the highest earning plays in Broadway history.
Fashion icon Chanel is teaming up with the Tribeca Film Festival to launch the Women’s Filmmaker Program which will award female filmmakers $75,000.
According to an announcement on Variety, Tribeca Enterprises, the company that also operates the Tribeca Film Festival, has teamed up with Chanel to create a program that will help support, teach, and inspire aspiring women directors, filmmakers and screenwriters.
The program is called “Dubbed Through Her Lens” and the program will provide a master class, mentorship and support to seven female filmmakers over the course of three days this fall.
The program will feature actresses such as Julianne Moore, Rebecca Miller, Leslye Headland, Donna Gigliotti, Catherine Hardwicke and casting director Ellen Lewis. Along with several other industry professionals and film filmmakers.
The first year of the program will finish with a pitch session before a jury that will decide which filmmaker will receive $75,000 in support of a short film production.
A New Mexico man said he had recently binge-watched The Walking Deadhas been charged with murder after telling police he attacked his friend.
He said he believed the other man had started “to change into a zombie” and wanted to bite him, Albuquerque news station KOB4 reports.
Apparently, Damon Perry, 23, kicked and punched his friend, Christopher Paquin, then beat him to death with a microwave and electric guitar, a New Mexico police spokesperson told The Daily Beast.
“It was one of the absolute worst [crime scenes] I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been with the department for 15 years,” spokesman Marcus Marques told the Beast.
After killing his friend, Paquin left the apartment where he was drinking and ran through the housing complex chasing people with a sharp object. He was eventually taken down by two maintenance workers who were near the scene of the crime.
Police are ruling out mental illness as a factor and attributing the crime to binge-drinking. Police told The Daily Beast that after sobering up, Perry was saddened for his friend’s death.
