In fact, racist tweets promoted by #BoycottStarWarsVII hashtag are warning everyone that the new Star Wars movie promotes “white genocide” and was made “to demoralize and destroy Whites.”

British actor John Boyega plays Stormtrooper Finn, one of the newest characters to join the cast of Star Wars VII. But, this is not the first time fans of Star Wars were upset with John Boyega’s character.
When the first trailer for Star Wars: Episode VII was released, it was revealed that John Boyega was going to play a Stormtrooper. The Internet erupted and the hashtag #BlackStormTrooper went viral with racist tweets bashing the British actor.

Apparently, many people believe that the Star Wars franchise “belongs” only to white people. This feeling is probably highlighted by the fact that George Lucas’ initial Star Wars movies featured a 99% Caucasian cast.
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was co-written and directed by JJ Abrams and takes place 30 years after ‘Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi,” when the rebels crushed the Galactic Empire. While audiences will see some of their favorite actors return to their iconic roles, a new wave of villains and heroes are expected to appear in the new feature film.
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens” features Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie and Pip Anderson.
