‘Independence Day: Resurgence” Trailer is Here and It’s AMAZING

Twenty years after the release of Independence Day, the long-awaited sequel, Independence Day: Resurgence, is finally here with its first trailer.

And while Project Casting has posted all of the Independence Day 2 casting calls surrounding the new movie, it’s always interesting to see how the movie has shaped up and developed in the last few months.

“I spent 20 years trying to get us ready for this,” says Jeff Goldblum’s character, David Levinson, in the clip. “We used their technology to strengthen our planet. But it won’t be enough.”

The sequel will show Earth being threatened again by aliens who have even stronger weapons than before. Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, Sela Ward and Charlotte Gainsbourg will appear in teh sequel as new characters. Alongside Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner and Judd Hirsch are reprising their roles from the first film.

Independence Day: Resurgence will be released in theaters on June 24, 2016.

With up to the minute reporting on every single detail of an upcoming feature film, producers are forced to hide the details and plot lines of movies in order to protect the movie from leaking spoilers. That’s why Disney invented special anti-drone technology for Star Wars and major motion pictures make background extras sign non-disclosure agreements in order to stop spoilers from hitting the Internet.

The Force Awakens is only a few days away from hitting theaters and basically the Internet cannot stop talking about Star Wars. But, even the huge hype surrounding Star Wars there are still a few fans that are not impressed with the movie franchise and argue that Star Trek is still better than the Star Wars franchise.

Recently, astrophysicist, writer and actor, Neil deGrasse Tyson recently weighed in on why the Starship Enterprise is better than the Millennium Falcon, and now Bill Nye is stirring the pot by tackling the Star Wars vs Star Trek debate.

Bill Nye starts off by saying, “Some of my best friends like Star Wars, don’t get me wrong,” before destroying arguments and showing why Star Trek is better than Star Wars.

NBC has just released a Saturday Night Live sketch starring Ryan Gosling that was cut out for time last weekend.

The host and star of the upcoming financial comedy/drama The Big Short joined Beck Bennett and Kyle Mooney for a sketch called “Cool,” which was a sitcom spoof, including anti-drinking and driving message.

Mooney plays Dougie, who in an effort to be liked by his neighbors, goes from nerdy to cool with the help of a special machine.

HBO releases new promo for Game of Thrones and it’s incredible.

It’s been a long time since we have seen what happened to the characters in Game of Thrones. Theories have swirled across the internet with rumors that Jon Snow is not dead and major new developments are coming soon. But, after the final episode of last season’s Game of Thrones, fans are impatiently waiting to learn what is next for the future of Westeros and GOT world.

Viewers were able to get a glimpse of the new season after a new promotional video released by HBO hit TV screens on Sunday night’s The Leftovers season finale.

The promo featured three minutes of new Game of Thrones footage showing quick shots of Daenerys Tagaryen, Ramsay Bolton and Tommen.

What could we learn from this promo video? Absolutely nothing. But, it does get you excited about the new season of Game of Thrones.

Ryan Gosling couldn’t stop laughing on a sketch on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Ryan Gosling, who will soon appear in the new movie The Nice Guys with Russell Crowe, couldn’t stop laughing the entire time in a sketch where Kate McKinnon shares a story about what her alien abduction was like. There was a lot of poking and prodding and knockers were batted; the aliens even watched her pee.

Ryan Gosling had to re-compose himself several times during the sketch to stop laughing.

Hollywood is far from being original. Nowadays movies are reboots, sequels, and remakes of older movies. But, there are certain movies that are basically copies of other movies that came out around the same time, just with different actors and crew members. Basically, it’s the result of competing studios trying to take on the same movie plot. And it’s pretty hilarious when it happens!

ScreenRant found 10 “twin” movies that essentially have the same story line with another movie and it’s more common than you think.

Beans from Even Stevens now works as Santa’s helper in a California mall.

Not every child actor makes it big in Hollywood. Don’t believe me? Well ask Steven Anthony Lawrence, best known as “Beans” from Even Stevens, the Disney channel series that ran for three seasons and boosted Shia LaBeouf’s acting career.

Apparently, Lawrence is working as Santa’s helper at a shopping mall in California.

He seems to be okay with all of the attention, despite feeling “like I’ve changed so much when I look in the mirror.”

Seeing someone who used to be on TV now work at a mall for close to minimum wage is pretty depressing.

The 25-year-old, who’s done some commercial work is now teaching acting classes and is expected to work on several low budget independent movies including Clyde 3D, an upcoming movie about “two bumbling elves [who] team up with Santa’s daughter Holly to try to help a Michigan family in danger of losing its Christmas-tree farm.”

…Or he’s just a method actor, training for years to act like an elf for a low budget movie?

You can finally watch Daniel Radcliffe’s audition tape for the leading role of Harry Potter.

Daniel Radcliffe is one of a select few actors we get to see grow up before our eyes. But, watching this video of the actor’s audition for Harry Potter when he was only 11 years old reminds you how far he has come.

You can even see him test out Harry Potter’s iconic glasses, possibly for the first time.

“That’s a dragon egg! That’s what that is!” Classic stuff.

Radcliffe has since starred on several feature films in the last year. Most recently, he filmed ‘Imperium’ based on the true story of Michael German, the FBI agent who spent years undercover in Neo-Nazi and militia groups in the United States. In the movie, the character based on Michael German tries to stop a bunch of white supremacists from doing a terrorist attack.

You can now watch the latest Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie trailer here.

The latest trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice premiered on Wednesday night, and the teaser showed off a pressured meeting between Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) at a party.

“What’s your position on the bat vigilante in Gotham?” the roving reporter asked the billionaire.

“Every time your hero saves a cat out of a tree, you write a puff piece editorial,” he responded in the three-minute promo that aired during “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on ABC.

“I’ve had a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns,” Wayne added.

An over-the-top Lex Luther (Jesse Eisenberg) also jumped into the discussion as he got crushed by Superman’s powerful handshake.

Superman and Batman are close to going head-to-head in a fight of epic proporitions.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and co-stars Holly Hunter, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons.

The movie hits theaters on March 25, 2016.

Cable Companies are Terrified of Netflix and Will Start Showing Less Ads

Netflix is truly a force to be reckoned with.

With millions of subscribers from all over the world and millions of people cutting their cable cords to watch movies and TV shows on Netflix, cable companies are struggling to figure out how to compete with the streaming service. Consequently, cable companies are actually showing fewer advertisements.

Major TV networks are so scared of Netflix they are cutting the number of TV ads, according to Business Insider.

Companies like Time Warner, Fox and Viacom have stopped trying to put as many ads in your face in order to keep younger viewers, who are deciding to watch TV shows on Netflix and Hulu instead.

Time Warner’s CEO revealed his plan to cut the number of advertisements in half for primetime TV shows starting next years, on its channel “truTV.”

If this works, Time Warner will try it on other channels like TBS, TNT, and CNN, according to Bloomberg.

“We know one of the benefits of an ecosystem like Netflix is its lack of advertising,” Howard Shimmel, a chief research officer at Time Warner, told Bloomberg. “Consumers are being trained there are places they can go to avoid ads.”

Once you get used to not seeing ads, the TV shows that still have ads become more and more annoying.
