‘The Librarians’ starring Noah Wyle casting call in Portland, Oregon.

Producers and casting directors are seeking talents for the new television series ‘The Librarians’.

The Librarians’ centers on “members of an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library who are dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality and protecting the artifacts housed in the library.”

The series will star Noah Wyle (Falling Skies) as the Librarian who is tasked with keeping track of these supernatural objects of power. Rebecca Romijn will also star as Wyle’s female counterpart, Eve Baird, who is also tasked with protecting the artifacts. Also appearing in the new series will be Christian Kane of “Leverage”, Lindy Booth, Matt Frewer of “Orphan Black” and John Larroquette. Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin are also rumored to be part of this project.

The casting call is for those 18 & older, all types of looks and ethnicities are welcome to apply.

AwesomenessTV to Produce Movie With Vine Stars Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas

Nash Grier and Cameron Dallas have more than 11 million subscribers on the video social network and now AwesomenessTV CEO Brian Robbins plans to make a movie with the social media celebs, according to TheWrap.

Robbins directed hit movies such as “Varsity Blues” and “Hardball” but, this is not the first time the critically acclaimed director has went to social media to find his next production. The television and film producer produced a movie with YouTube star Fred aka Lucas Cruikshank. Robbins believes the large amount of fans will definitely turn out to see Grier and Dallas in a feature film

“Nash and Cam have really authentic voices and a strong connection with their audience, which is why we’re so excited they are going to be part of the AwesomenessTV family,” Robbins said in a statement. “Making a movie is a natural next step for them. They already have a dedicated fan base.”

Grier and Dallas have more than 11 million followers on the Vine App and an additional 3.5 million followers on Twitter and Instagram. The two actors will move their YouTube channel to AwesomnessTV’s network in the next couple of days.

FOX Cancels ‘Almost Human’ the JJ Abrams Production

FOX cancels JJ Abrams produced tv series ‘Almost Human’

The futuristic drama failed to connect with audiences and Fox has decided to give the television series the boot. The drama featured Karl Urban and Michael Ealy and when it premiered in November it had a rough start.

It is interesting to note that the ratings for Almost Human were nearly the same as Kevin Bacon’s ‘Almost Human but, according to Deadline, FOX decided to give the robocop tv series the axe.

 In fact, the March season (and series) finale of Almost Human logged a 1.5 rating in 18-49, matching the Live+Same Day rating for last night’s finale of The Following.(The Following is a bigger DVR draw). Almost Human‘s chances started to slip once Fox’s drama pilots started to come in.

But, you have to keep in mind that FOX has to make room for their upcoming pilots. The soon to be picked up Batman prequel, Gotham is set to premiere as well as The Red Band Society and Empire.

If you never caught an episode of Almost Human, the television series centers on a cop that is paired with a realistic robot. The series was created from producers of Fringe, JJ Abrams and J.H. Wyman.

‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ Cast Finally Revealed

J.J. Abrams has released the Star Wars Episode VII cast with new comers, veterans, and favorites.

Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill will reprise their leading roles in the upcoming feature film.

Other actors include Adam Driver, Oscar Isac, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Max Von Sydow, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Kenny Baker as R2-D2, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca.

While it has not been released as to what roles each actor would play, it is assumed that Adam Driver from the television series Girls will play the main villain in the Star Wars sequel.

“Assassin’s Creed” Movie is Coming Soon to a Theater Near You

Assassin’s Creed movie is coming to a theater near you.

Video games are a billion dollar industry so, it is expected movies will follow.

Now, New Regency and Ubisoft are working on Assassin’s Creed, a live-action version of the Ubisoft video game that has Michael Fassbender attached to star in the production.

According to Deadline, producers are seeking ‘Macbeth’ director to direct the upcoming production.

Kurzel isn’t a household name in the action arena just yet, but he and Fassbender just came offMacbeth. They wrapped that Weinstein Company film, with Fassbender in the title role, and the actor must have really liked what he saw. No deal yet, but they are eager to get this film started, so it’ll come soon.

This is not the only video game turned movie. Ubisoft is working with Regency to produce Splinter Cell, with Dougal Liman as director and Tom Hardy starring in the production.

Patrick Stewart has just teamed up with Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlene for a new television series.

Patrick Stewart is best known for his sci-fi franchises but he is also a pretty comedic actor. Naturally, Hollywood is going to tap his talents for a new TV comedy series, Blunt Talk The series is created by Jonathan Ames and Seth MacFarlane.

Stewart will play a British newscaster who comes to America to conquer cable news…“In the character of Walter Blunt, Seth, Jonathan and Patrick have found the alchemy that makes a borderline alcoholic, mad-genius-Brit the man you want fighting in America’s corner,” Starz CEO Chris Albrecht said. “Seth and Jonathan have struck the right balance between biting wit and outright absurdity in building this world, and we cannot wait for Patrick to breathe life into Walter.”

“Snowfall”: Showtime and John Singleton TV Series Recreate the 1980’s Drug Trade

Showtime plans on creating a new television series that centers on the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles.

John Singleton is returning to the era of his debut feature film Boyz In The Hood with a new television series, Snowfall.

According to Deadline, the drama series is set to premiere on Showtime.

Singleton is set to direct and co-write the project, co-written by Eric Amadio. The two executive produce with Michael London and Underground’s Trevor Engelson and Evan Silverberg.

The new television series will center on the start of the crack cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles told through the eyes of a young black kid from Compton, a Mexican wrestler and a CIA agent charged with running the money to the Mexican drug lords.

The new television series is described as being filmed in the same way as Boyz IN the Hood, which earned Los Angeles native Singleton writing and director nominations several years ago.

This will be heavily storyline driven, with the 2 leads being in a impassioned but volatile relationship. It’s a steely nighttime vibe with a rock n roll demographic. **There is some physical contact, kissing, canoodling between the two leads.**

MALE LEAD: male, all ethnicities, age range 21-26, hip, rock n’ roll, edgy, cool, good looking, band guy type. Some acting experience required! You will need to be comfortable with physical, romantic contact with the female lead. Pay rate: $400.00/day, full buy-out.

FEMALE LEAD: female, all ethnicities, age range 21-26, hip, rock n’ roll, edgy, cool, VERY attractive. Some acting experience required! You will need to be comfortable with physical, romantic contact with the male lead. Pay rate: $500.00/day, full buy-out.
