Tracy Morgan’s Condition Upgraded From Critical to Fair
Tracy Morgan‘s condition has been upgraded from critical to fair 10 days following a highway crash that killed comedian James McNair and seriously injured several others.
Tracy Morgan‘s spokesperson, Lewis Kay, said in a statement:
“Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement. His personality is certainly starting to come back as well.”
Jeffrey Millea, Morgan’s assistant, was also upgraded to fair condition. However, Comedian Ardie Fuqua remains critical.
FX Networks have announced last week that they will stand by the actor.
The only thing we are concerned with is the health and recovery of Tracy Morgan and the victims of this tragic accident. We will support Tracy and his family in every way possible throughout his recovery. At the point when Tracy has recovered and decides that he is ready to go back to work, his show will be waiting for him. Right now our thoughts and prayers remain with Tracy, the other victims of the accident, and their families.
Kevin Roper, the Walmart truck driver who drove into the back of a limo carrying Tracy Morgan early Saturday Morning, had not slept in at least 24 hours by the time of the accident.Walmart president recently said in a statement that the company “will take full responsibility” if it’s ruled that Walmart’s truck caused the accident. Cartoon Network plans on reviving ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ with even more sugar, spice and everything nice.
The award winning cartoon series, ‘The Powerpuff Girls‘ making it’s way back to your TV screens and hearts.
The Cartoon Network announced on Monday, that the new TV series is slated to launch in 2016.
“The original Powerpuff Girlswas a franchise phenomenon for Cartoon Network, paving the way for a new generation of innovative storytellers and enthusiastic fans worldwide,” said Rob Sorcher, Cartoon Network’s chief content officer. “We are calling these girls back into action based upon an overwhelming demand for sugar, spice and Chemical X.”

The Powerpuff Girls revolves around the adventures of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. Each of the girls has a color: Blossom is pink, Bubbles is blue, and Buttercup is green. Episodes often contain more or less hidden references to older pop culture (especially noticeable in the episode “Meet the Beat Alls,” having been an homage to the Beatles). The cartoon always tries to keep different ideas within each episode with some small tributes and parodies thrown in.Peter Marks of The New York Times noted the show’s use of adult humor and pop culture references, declaring it “the sort of playful satire that can appeal as much to a viewer of 37 as 7.
The Powerpuff Girls is one of the highest grossing Cartoon Network shows of all time. The series grew to a wild #2.5 billion in retail sales since the show debuted in 1998.
The show also earned two Emmys, a feature film, a 10th anniversary special, and a CG special.

Marvel Uk has just released the new trailer for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ the James Gunn-directed superhero production.
This new trailer is more serious, but does get you ramped up for the new production.

Harrison Ford out eight weeks but filming is expected to continue
Harrison Ford is expected to miss eight weeks of filming on Star Wars: Episode VII after the actor broke his ankle on set, according to reports from The Hollywood Reporter.
Harrison Ford was taken to a hospital after he injured his ankle last Thursday, but shoot is expected to continue despite the lead actor’s injury.
Harrison Ford will return to his legendary role of Han Solo, in the upcoming Star Wars sequel. The actor was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft the character used in the original films.

The NWA Biopic finally Casts it’s Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, and Ice Cube
Two relative unknown actors are going to take on one of the biggest hip hop movies in recent history.
After five years, several writers, and a picky group of writers, Universal’s N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is finally being made.
There were several open casting calls in Los Angeles, Chicago,Altanta and in New York. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has found actors to tackle the roles of Ice Cube, Dr. Drea and the late Eazy-E.
It is interesting to note that all of the actors had to be approved by the parties they were representing.
Ice Cube‘s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr. was selected to play a teen version of his father, after Ice Cube pushed to have his son picked.
But, classically trained actor who is said to who have on the role of Dre, is Marcus Callender. he is a alum of New York’s Shakespeare Lab at the Public Training theater. Callendar has appeared on an HBO TV pilot, Criminal Justice, and had small parts on the CBS series Blue Bloodsand Elementary.
But, what is the biggest surprise is the actor who was selected to play Eazy-E. Jason Mitchell landed the role after having an amazing audition. The New Orleans based actor, has had very small roles on Broken City and Contraband.

Steven Spielberg has two new movies coming soon, an Untitled Cold War Spy Thriller starring Tom Hanks and The BFG
Steven Spielberg has been under the radar since he dropped out of American Sniper starring Bradley Cooper.
Recently, Steven Spielberg has been attached to several new productions, but it has left many people wondering when the movies were actually going to get released.
An untitled Cold War spy thriller directed by Steven Spielberg will hit theaters on October 16, 2015.
Tom Hanks will star in the untitled drama, which is based on the true story of James Donovan, an attorney who finds himself in the middle of the Cold War when the CIA sends him on an impossible mission to negotiate the release of a captured American U2 pilot.
The Coen Brothers, the directors of Oscar Nominated Picture Inside Llewyn Davis, wrote the script for the production. Spielberg, Marc Platt and Kristie Macosko Krieger will produce.
The other production is a movie version of Roald Dahl‘s children book, The BFG which is set to release on July 1, 2016. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The live-action film The BFG will be based on the fantastical tale of a Big Friendly Giant who befriends a young orphan girl. Dahl’s book, illustrated by Quentin Blake, was first published in 1982.”
Dreamworks acquired the rights to the book in 2011.

USA Network’s ‘Satisfaction’ posted a casting call for bikes in Atlanta, Georgia
The new drama on the USA network is described as a “provocative drama that explores modern marriage at its midpoint.” The new television series features Matt Passmore (“The Glades”) as Neil Truman and Stephanie Szostack, (“The Devil Wears Prada”) as Grace.
The USA network describes the series by answering the question, “What do you do when having it all is not enough?” by delving into their shocking and unconventional choices.
Casting directors are looking for extras with bikes in Atlanta, Georgia. Marinella is looking for talent available on Tuesday, June 17th.

Three ways writing a journal makes you a better actor
The benefits of journaling have been studied in the past, but a recent study shows that 15 minutes of reflection at the end of the day leads to better productivity.
Acting is tough. You are placed in very stressful, emotional, and even traumatic situations. It was studied at the Center for Journal therapy, that individuals that suffer from severe illnesses found regular journaling therapeutic.
Here are three ways that keeping a journal will help your acting career.
#1. Keeping a Journal Increases Performance
In a study conducted at Harvard Business School, employees who journaled at the end of the day had a 22.8% increase in performance in comparison to others that did not.
Learning from direct experience can be more effective if coupled with reflection—that is, the intentional attempt to synthesize, abstract, and articulate the key lessons taught by experience. Reflecting on what has been learned makes experience more productive.
#2 Keeping a Journal Makes You More Creative
Regular writing can help you learn to process and communicate ideas effectively and coherently. It also allows you to memorize important information, and brainstorm new ideas. Basically, writing about your experiences not only helps you process them, it allows you to see other opportunities that were not apparent at first.
#3 Regular Writing Keeps Helps You Track Your Career
Regular writing allows you to be functional and help remind you of the mistakes that you have made and accomplishment you are proud of. The written record can come in handy when you are feeling down, and it can help you when you are unsure about what to do in the future. If you are stuck in a bad situation or about to make a major decision, a diary will help you pick out a pattern of things you want to follow for your career. It doesn’t just boost your self-esteem, it helps you make more informed decisions.
For the best effects, try writing it down rather than typing your reflections for the maximum effect.

Oscar-nominated writer/director told a Los Angeles Film Festival audience that more African American filmmakers and actors need to take more risks.
“Don’t afraid to be black,” writer/director John Singleton told an audience at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Saturday.
The Oscar-nominated filmmaker received nominations for his work on Boyz N the Hood spoke openly about Hollywood and what African American actors and filmmakers should do to succeed.
“Don’t try to be something else.” “Everyone’s gonna copy our shit anyway. I made the blackest Fast and Furious, I made Paul Walker say ‘Cuz‘ in the movie. I elevated it. You can’t front that [black films] don’t make money. I haven’t lost anybody money. People said, ‘Twelve Years a Slave, I don’t want to feel bad, oh, that’s a hard sell — $178 million, so what the f— is commercial, you know?”
Singleton even called out black actors who are too scared to take risks or play violent roles. “They tuck their balls up under their ass to be accepted, you know what I mean?”
“A lot of people were afraid to take that Jamie Foxx part inDjango Unchained, but it’s Quentin’s most profitable movie, $425 million. It has negritude in it.”
Singleton even pointed out that Ice Cube could have had a more succesful acting career, if he decided to take more chances. “Ice Cube didn’t want to play a romantic role in Poetic Justice,” said Singleton. “When I said, ‘Tupac, do you wanna be in a movie with Janet Jackson?’ he said, ‘N—-r, what?'”
John Singleton went on to describe his new TV series on Showtime, Snowfall. “I think they’re gonna take it. It’s set in 1981, before cocaine hit L.A. It’s in the hood, but it’s also in the Valley and East L.A. It’s about a courier for the cartel and a CIA guy who gets the government in the cocaine business. It’s got negritude, but it’s also La Raza, and there’s a Fast Times at Ridgemont Highelement in the Valley. I’m not just in a black bubble, I can tell different stories.”
Singleton even gave advice on how to approach producers and pitch your productions. “Somewhere in the pitch, say, ‘It’s not gonna cost that much.'”
