‘Joker’ is one of the biggest movies of 2019 and Joaquin Phoenix is enjoying the praise for his performance in the DC movie.
He has received stunning reviews not only for his acting but making the character different from all other previous versions that have come before him.
Now that the movie has hit theaters, many are asking if this will launch a franchise or at least a sequel. Well, we have our first early indication that ‘Joker 2’ could be coming soon.

The actor had an interview with Popcorn with Peter Travers, where he told said he’s dead serious for another movie so they can see just what happens next with Joker.
“I wouldn’t have thought of this as my dream role,” Phoenix said. “But now, honestly, I can’t stop thinking about it.
“I talked to [director] Todd a lot about what else we might be able to do, in general, just working together, but also specifically, if there’s something else we can do with Joker that might be interesting.
“So, it ended up being a dream role. It’s nothing that I really wanted to do prior to working on this movie.”
There was some doubt about whether Phoenix would want to participate in another ‘Joker’ project. However, director Todd Phillips told Total Film: “One thing I will tell you: I would do anything with [Phoenix], any day of the week.
“There’s nobody like him. If he was willing to do [a sequel], and if people show up to this movie, and Warners came to us and said, ‘You know what? If you guys could think of something…’ Well, I have a feeling that he and I could think of something pretty cool.”

The film titled JUDAS & THE BLACK MESSIAH (formerly JESUS WAS MY HOMEBOY) is preparing to shoot in Cleveland this fall.
Daniel Kaluuya and his Get Out co-star Lakeith Stanfield to star in Jesus Was My Homeboy, a production that tells the true story of Fred Hampton, a Black Panther revolutionary, and activist who was assassinated in 1969.
Daniel Kaluuya will play Fred Hampton, an Illinois-born honors student who was active in the NAACP, brokered a non-aggression pact between two of Chicago’s gangs, coined the phrase “rainbow coalition,” and rose to prominence in the Black Panther Party on both the state and national level. Hampton was assassinated by the FBI and the Chicago Police Department at age 21 during a raid on his apartment.
Lakeith Stanfield will play William O’Neal, a car thief who had his charges dropped by becoming an FBI informant who worked his way into the Black Panthers, eventually becoming Hampton’s bodyguard and turning over a detailed layout of Hampton’s apartment to the authorities, which ultimately contributed to Hampton’s assassination. This film is said to “look at the rise and death of Hampton through O’Neal’s perspective.”

Chris Pratt is set to star in Sci-Fi thriller ‘Ghost Draft’ from the ‘Lego Batman’ director.
Variety reports, “Ghost Draft,” written by Zach Dean, is about a man drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront his past. Yvonne Strahovski will play a character Pratt meets in the future who has a connection to his past.

In a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the analytics firm Sensor Tower estimates people downloaded more than 100 million times in the United States. The UTA recently signed Brittany Tomlinson, whose August video showed her trying kombucha for the first time, and it had 1 million likes. Then the NFL announced a multiyear partnership with TikTok to offer game highlights and behind-the-scenes footage to users. Now, Will Smith is transitioning to TikTok after taking over Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Will Smith has over 700 million fans.

About the platform:
TikTok has been around since 2014 when it first launched as Musical.ly, a platform for people to share videos of them lip singing and dancing to music. Chinese firm ByteDance acquired Musical.ly in 2017 for nearly $1 billion, and less than a year later, the company merged with TikTok.
TikTok has many of the features similar to Vine. Videos are often short and funny, typically with music or jokes in each video. The TikTok algorithm also shares trending posts and videos personalized to each user.
The video-sharing platform is still a new app, and users can not make as much money in comparison to other platforms such as YouTube. YouTube offers a revenue-sharing agreement, which has turned content creators to millionaires and celebrities. While TikTokers can sign deals with brands, TikTok is not paying for the content on the platform.
What makes TikTok different?
Bryan Thoensen, TikTok’s head of content partnerships, told THR, “TikTok’s fun, authentic, and inclusive sensibility has attracted industry-leading entertainment and media partners to the platform who have really leaned into the way our community expresses themselves through video.”
How Hollywood is connecting with TikTok stars:
As TikTok becomes more popular, more companies are working with the platform. TikTok has established a partnership with the talent to use the platform. “We’re excited to help our creators reach their ambitions and aspirations — there’s truly a new wave of entertainers and artists emerging from TikTok,” says the head of creator partnerships Kudzi Chikumbu in a statement. “Our team invests time meeting with our creators because we want to learn about what they are passionate about and what their goals are. In relevant news, 19-year-old mega TikTok influencer who reached 60 million followers, Addison Rae, will be making her acting debut in He’s All That reboot of the 1999 teen classic She’s All That.
Mark Waters, who is the director behind young-adult movies including Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and Vampire Academy, will direct the reboot, which will be written by the movie’s original screenwriter R. Lee Fleming.
The movie will feature Addison taking on the role of Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Zackary Siler, as this modern spin will be told from a teenage girl’s point of view. The modern-day story will center around an influencer who decides to avenge herself by accepting a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser into prom king after her boyfriend turns her into a laughing stock.
