– This is a non-union job and no acting experience is required. That said, you must be comfortable being filmed and photographed.

How to Get Cast in Netflix’s ‘They Cloned Tyrone’

Netflix’s They Cloned Tyrone is now casting and hiring actors in Atlanta, Georgia

About They Cloned Tyrone:

John Boyega’s next movie is now filming in Georgia.  The upcoming sci-fi feature film will star Jamie Foxx, Teyonah Parris, and John Boyega. The movie will be directed by Creed 2 writer Juel Taylor.

Taylor, who wrote the screenplay with Tony Rettenmaier, centers around a series of events that throws an unlikely trio onto the trail of an evil government conspiracy.

Here is the official description for the film:

A pulpy, sci-fi mystery caper in which an unlikely trio investigates a series of eerie events, alerting them to a nefarious conspiracy lurking directly beneath their hood. Fontaine, a neighborhood drug dealer, is shot dead by rival Isaac and then is very shocked to wake up in his bed the next morning unharmed. He and Slick Charles and Yo-Yo begin looking into the incident, and their search eventually leads them to a vast underground complex where a government – backed lab is performing experiments on the local Black population. Realizing that he is an artificial clone controlled by Nixon, Fontaine initially feels despair, but decides he needs to stand up to these white institutional overlords for the sake of his neighborhood.

Meanwhile, Boyega recently called out Disney for pushing his ‘Star Wars’ character aside. In an open interview with GQ, Boygea suggested his fellow diverse central cast members, including Naomi Ackie, Kelly Marie Tran, and Oscar Isaac, all had the same experience.

“You get yourself involved in projects, and you’re not necessarily going to like everything. [But] what I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. It’s not good. I’ll say it straight up,” commented Boyega.

John Boyega Calls Disney Out for Pushing ‘Star Wars’ Black Role Aside

John Boyega calls Star Wars out for marketing a Black character to only push them out.

The latest Star Wars trilogy has come under fire since the franchise debuted. One of those people upset with the franchise is the movie’s leading man, John Boyega.

Since the trailer was released and we saw Boyega as a Storm Trooper, Boyega became a star. Not only was the first Black leading actor of the Star Wars universe, but he had the acting chops that encouraged you to cheer him on from the theater seats.

After The Force Awakens ended, many assumed Finn’s storyline was going to be important in the future of Star Wars. John Boyega was under the same impression until the sequels started production.

In an open interview with GQ, Boygea suggested his fellow diverse central cast members, including Naomi Ackie, Kelly Marie Tran, and Oscar Isaac, all had the same experience.

“You get yourself involved in projects, and you’re not necessarily going to like everything. [But] what I would say to Disney is do not bring out a black character, market them to be much more important in the franchise than they are, and then have them pushed to the side. It’s not good. I’ll say it straight up,” commented Boyega.

Boyega also cared about his costars being heard and seen.

“You knew what to do with these other people, but when it came to Kelly Marie Tran, when it came to John Boyega, you know fuck all,” he continued. “So what do you want me to say? What they want you to say is, ‘I enjoyed being a part of it. It was a great experience…’ Nah, nah, nah. I’ll take that deal when it’s a great experience.”

He added that some of the film’s white cast members did not suffer the same underwriting, “They gave all the nuance to Adam Driver, all the nuance to Daisy Ridley. Let’s be honest. Daisy knows this. Adam knows this. Everybody knows. I’m not exposing anything.”

Boyega continued speaking on how being Black affected the Star Wars storyline. “I’m the only cast member who had their own unique experience of that franchise based on their race… It makes you angry with a process like that. It makes you much more militant; it changes you. Because you realize, ‘I got given this opportunity, but I’m in an industry that wasn’t even ready for me.’…Nobody else in the cast had people saying they were going to boycott the movie because [they were in it]. Nobody else had the uproar and death threats sent to their Instagram DMs and social media, saying, ‘Black this and black that and you shouldn’t be a Stormtrooper.’ Nobody else had that experience. But yet people are surprised that I’m this way. That’s my frustration.”

Finn’s character does not have much of a backstory or a character arc throughout the sequels. That said, Boyega does not call out anyone specifically and even praises JJ Abrams, mentioning he only came back to save Disney after The Last Jedi backlash. However, it is frustrating that we get this fantastic character and then get nothing much out of the storyline.

Boyega will star in an upcoming Steve McQueen project, and he will have his own production company, so it will be interesting to see what projects he develops for himself and others.

This news comes after John Boyega gave an incredible Black Lives Matter speech. Boyega attended a protest in London’s Hyde Park, where he delivered an emotional speech putting the movement over his acting career.

“Black lives have always mattered,” Boyega said. “We have always been important. We have always meant something. We have always succeeded regardless. And now is the time. I ain’t waiting.”

“Every black person understands and realizes the first time you are reminded that you are black,” Boyega added, occasionally stopping to fight back tears during the speech. “You remember. Every black person in here remembers when another person reminded you that you were black.”

 “Look, I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this, but f*** that,” referencing his acting career and relationships in Hollywood.

Los Angeles Casting Call

Kristan is looking for NON UNION men & women to portray African American or Hispanic firefighters and paramedics, age 25 to 35. Men should not be over a 44 coat and should be clean shaven. ‘The Batman’ Filming Resumes After Robert Pattinson is Reportedly Cleared of COVID-19

Filming for The Batman resumes after Robert Pattinson is cleared of Coronavirus COVID-19.

After Robert Pattinson reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, Variety reports the actor can return to the movie’s U.K. set. 

 “Following a hiatus for COVID 19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on The Batman in the U.K.,” a Warner Bros. spokesperson confirmed to the outlet, without mentioning the leading actor by name.

Production shut down on September 3 after Vanity Fair broke the news of Robert Pattinson’s diagnosis, starting the 14-day quarantine time required by the COVID-19 safety requirements.

Members of the crew reportedly continued to work on other scenes of the movie during the two-week break. According to reports, director Matt Reeves continued to shoot select scenes with Pattinson’s stunt double. Warner Bros. dismissed those reports to Variety, suggesting filming stopped after September 3 as much of the cast and crew went into quarantine.

Photographers spotted Robert Pattinson last Wednesday in London with his girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse. With at least 75% of the movie still waiting to be shot, the new Batman movie has a long way to go. Warner Bros. announced an October 1, 2021 release date. But, additional delays could push back the theatrical release.

Robert Pattinson reportedly tested positive for the Coronavirus COVID-19, causing filming of The Batman to shut down days after the movie resumed production at studios in England.

Warner Bros. did not publicly comment on any individual’s health. Still, the company said this statement: “A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused.” 

The production previously shut down in March, when the quarantine lockdown first took place.

The movie is directed by Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves and centers around Batman in his second year as a superhero as he attempts to solve serial killings. In the process, he meets Paul Dano’s The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz Catwoman, and Colin Farrell’s The Penguin. Actor Jeffrey Wright co-stars as Commissioner James Gordon, Andy Serkis plays Bruce Wayne’s butler Alfred and John Turturro is the Carmine Falcone.

“It’s a criminological experiment. He’s trying to figure out what he can do to finally change this place. You see that he’s charting what he’s doing, and he’s seeing he isn’t having any of the effects that he wants to have yet,” Reeves said recently at the D.C. Fandom event that revealed the new trailer. “The murders start to happen, and the murders start to describe a history of Gotham. It only reinforces what he knows about Gotham, but opens up a whole world of corruption that went much further.”

The movie was initially planned for release in 2021.

In relevant news, a 51-year-old assistant director who’d died from COVID-19 after returning to work on a commercial production has shocked the film industry and renewed fears of safety on film sets.

According to a report by the Chicago Tribune, Texas-based assistant director John Nolan went into cardiac arrest and died on August 26th after battling the illness for weeks.

Currently, it is not known where or when Nolan contracted the disease, it is clear he developed symptoms of the virus after he worked on commercial production in Austin, Texas in mid-July and tested positive for the Coronavirus on July 29th. By, August 5th he was in ICU at a hospital and placed on a ventilator.

Also, Hollywood is abandoning filming the United States over the lack of Coronavirus tests. A movie starring Ben Affleck was supposed to start filming in the United States. However, due to the lack of COVID-19 Coronavirus testing material and short lab results, producers moved the filming location to Canada. Ben Affleck’s latest movie is just one of several projects leaving the U.S. for Canada, the U.K., and Australia due to the Coronavirus.

Since moving to Los Angeles in March, the family has started working on their production studio, which will focus on releasing documentaries, TV shows, movies, and kid shows, exclusively for Netflix.

Meghan Markle mentioned she does not plan on acting in the future; she is focused on working behind the screen. “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope,” noted the couple. “As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.” 

This news comes after the family decided to leave their roles as senior royals and focused on filmmaking in Hollywood.

Markle was born in Los Angeles and was trying to make it into the film industry since she was a teenager, but did not start getting a regular acting job until nearly a decade later.

In an old article written years ago, which has resurfaced and gone viral, Prince Harry’s future wife recounts a meeting with Webster, who has hired actors for hit movies such as Star Wars, Mission Impossible, and Lost.

The casting director helped her shut down her insecurities that held back her acting career.

Writing for Darling Magazine, Meghan said she was, ‘Trying to find my value in an industry that judges you on everything that you’re not versus everything that you are. 

Other executives deemed her, ‘Not thin enough, not pretty enough, not ethnic enough, while also being too thin, too ethnic, too pretty the very next day,’ Meghan wrote. 

‘“You need to know that you’re enough,” she said. 

‘“Less makeup, more Meghan.”

In celebration of the 30th-anniversary of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the Banks family is reuniting on television.

According to reports,  Will Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid, and DJ Jazzy Jeff will be filming the unscripted special on September 10, which is the exact release date of the hit sitcom. At the same time, the episode will premiere on HBO Max this Thanksgiving.

The cast will discuss the cultural impact the show had since it first debuted in 1990 and is described as “a funny and heartfelt night full of music, dancing, and special surprise guests, in honor of the series that ran for six seasons and 148 episodes.”

Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Westbrook Media company is developing the project. It will be directed by Marcus Raboy and executive produced by Miguel Melendez, Lukas Kaiser, Brad Haugen, and original showrunner Rikki Hughes.

A24 Films is an American film distribution, production, and finance company formed in 2012 by marketing and distribution veterans Daniel Katz, David Fenkel, and John Hodges.

An upcoming music video is now casting models in Louisiana.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in Lafayette, Louisiana this Friday, September 4th.

Producers are seeking the following types:

  • LEAD SUPERMODEL- (late 20s to 30s) African American female, Extremely attractive preferably caramel to mocha skin tone, but not required, petite to medium build, must be comfortable wearing a strapless bathing suit, must have modeling/acting experience.

LEAD SUPERMODEL NEEDED FOR MUSIC VIDEO!!

R&B Musical Artist, New Cupid is seeking a Lead SuperModel for his upcoming music video shoot.

LEAD SUPERMODEL- (late 20s to 30s) African American female, Extremely attractive preferably caramel to mocha skin tone, but not required, petite to medium build, must be comfortable wearing a strapless bathing suit, must have modeling/acting experience.

When: Est. Date, Friday, September 4, 2020 (One Day Only- 5 to 6 hrs. max)

Where: Lafayette, LA.

Compensation: PAID
