Dwayne Johnson breaks the Instagram record with 200 million followers.

Dwayne Johnson is the world’s biggest and highest-paid movie star. His appearance in several franchises has consistently led to mega box office results.

San Andreas, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and follow-up The Next Level, Rampage, Skyscraper, and Hobbs & Shaw were all costly productions, but have combined to earn billions, while his next Netflix movie Red Notice, might be the biggest original movies ever.

The Rock is not only doing numbers at the box office. He’s also extremely popular on social media. On Instagram, he officially has the largest audience ever with 200 million followers, which sets a new record and makes him the most-followed man in the world.

Dwayne Johnson celebrated the news on Instagram.

In relevant news, the actor and former University of Miami football player made what he says is his “first-ever (public) presidential endorsement” by announcing support for the former Vice President Joe Biden. Biden and Harris will challenge President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on Election Day, November 3.

Dwayne Johnson acknowledged his complicated voting record in an Instagram post while announcing his endorsement. “As a political independent and centrist for many years, I’ve voted for Democrats in the past and as well as Republican,” the upcoming Red Notice actor announced, adding in an accompanying video he has “friends in all parties.” The video also shows Dwayne Johnson having a Zoom conversation with the two candidates.

The 48-year-old actor praises Biden for leading “in my opinion, with great compassion, and heart, and drive, but also the soul.” He considers the “smart, tough” Harris, meanwhile, to be a “certified badass.” Johnson asked how they would earn the respect of fellow Americans. Biden promised to take responsibility, tell the truth, and have an administration that is “going to look like America” and be a representation of America.”

AMC Theaters Could Run Out of Money in 6 Months (Report)

AMC Theaters could reportedly run out of money in six months.

According to financial analysts at S&P Global, AMC Theaters could run out of money in only six months.

“Given our expectations for a high rate of cash burn, we believe the company will run out of liquidity within the next six months unless it is able to raise additional capital, which we view as unlikely, or attendance levels materially improve.”

AMC Theaters is America’s largest cinema chain. If the company goes out of business, it could spell very bad news for smaller theaters. In addition, for the film industry to survive, people will need to go back to the movies. However, the Coronavirus Pandemic looks like it will last a long time and the current release schedule does not look promising for the next several years. In fact, Wonder Woman 1984 recently moved to Christmas Day, Black Widow was pushed back six months, with the chance Warner Bros. could follow Marvel’s footsteps even longer. Warner Bros may push back Dune to 2021.

In relevant news, Regal Cinemas to close all theaters this week after James Bond No Time To Die got pushed back. The owner of the largest chain of theaters in the UK and Ireland the second largest in the United States, Regal Cinemas, will reportedly close all of its theaters this week. According to Variety, all 543 theaters in the United States will close, which accounts for over 7,000 movie theaters across the country. The Sunday Times reports over 100 theaters in the UK and Ireland will also close.

The entertainment industry’s current business model believes movies require a theatrical release, despite streaming services and experiments. It is clear, the film industry is changing.

We’re looking for a male moderator who is bilingual in Spanish and English. Performers should be comfortable presenting scripted content to camera in a professional/authoritative tone. We ask that only non-union talent submit for this project.

(Notes on wardrobe) We’re looking for an appropriate courtroom, professional look. Lawyer-esque.  Talent will be responsible for their own wardrobe.

(Notes on delivery) Professional, authoritative but still warm. General American accents are preferred (for English), as this will be used in the States.

Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are reportedly in talks to appear in Spider-Man 3

Spider-Man 3 may be more significant than we anticipated. This week, news broke Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro, now rumors are circulating the upcoming sequel with have a multi-universe element.

According to WGTC, Foxx posted and then deleted a piece of artwork on Instagram that depicted Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield, hinting that all three cinematic Spider-Men will appear the upcoming sequel.

FandomWire is claiming Marvel is having secret talks with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire to get them back for the Spider-Man 3 movie opposite Tom Holland. According to their sources, the studio has a script that involves three Spider-Men teaming up to take on various villains from their past, including Jamie Foxx’s Electro. FandomWire they are unable to confirm this news, so they encourage fans to take this rumor lightly.

Geekosity also said Maguire is in active talks to wear the Spider-Man suit again. It suggests a live-action Spider-Man crossover movie could be coming soon.

In relevant news, Spider-Man 3 to film in Atlanta this Fall. The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel is going to start filming in Atlanta sometime this fall. Previously, there were talks that filming on Spider-Man 3 was pushed back into early 2021 to accommodate Tom Holland’s commitments to his other upcoming projects. That is no longer the case.

Actor Who Appeared in Several Spike Lee Movies, Thomas Jefferson Byrd, Fatally Shot in Atlanta

Actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd, who acted in several Spike Lee movies, was killed in Atlanta.

According to Variety, authorities arrived at the scene of his murder on Saturday around 1:45 a.m. after a call came in about an injured person who was also unresponsive and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back. He was later pronounced dead after Emergency Medical Services around at the scene.

Detectives are investigating the shooting with Atlanta Police Department telling Variety it is an open investigation.

Byrd was best known for his appearances in several of Spike Lee’s movies including Clockers, Get on the Bus, Bamboozled, Chi-Raq, Red Hook Summer, Girl 6, and Da Sweet Blood of Jesus. Byrd was also in Antoine Fuqua’s Brooklyn’s Finest, Jamie Foxx’s Ray Charles biopic, Ray, and F. Gary Gray’s Set It Off.

Spike Lee honored Byrd’s life on Instagram on Sunday saying, “I’m so sad to announce the tragic murder of our beloved brother Thomas Jefferson Byrd last night in Atlanta, Georgia.” Lee added, “Tom is my guy. Here below you see him as the frightening character Errol Barnes in CLOCKERS. Brother Byrd also did his thang in my joints — CHI-RAQ, SWEET BLOOD OF JESUS, RED HOOK SUMMER, BAMBOOZLED, HE GOT GAME, GET ON THE BUS, GIRL 6 and CLOCKERS. May we all wish condolences and blessings to his family. Rest in peace brother Byrd.”

Warner Bros’ ‘Stargirl’ is Now Hiring in Atlanta, Georgia

Warner Bros. Stargirl is now hiring TV production jobs in Atlanta, Georgia

The Coronavirus has shaken up Georgia’s film industry. That said, Georgia’s film industry is on track for a comeback. According to a statement by Gov. Brian Kemp, an estimated 40,000 production workers will find jobs at 75 projects, which are expected to start filming over the next 18 months.

Now, Georgia’s film industry is booming and hiring jobs, all thanks to its film tax credit program. Which means there are hundreds of jobs available for aspiring actors and filmmakers.

Warner Bros. TV series is currently collecting resumes for several TV production departments in Georgia.

According to Georgia’s Help Wanted Hotline, producers are now accepting resumes for several crew positions to work on the show. These crew positions include the following:

  • Construction
  • Paint
  • Production Assistants (Covid + AD staff)
  • Costumes

DC’s Stargirl, or Stargirl, is a superhero TV series created by Geoff Johns. According to Deadline, ABC’s Women of the Movement is a new anthology series from Jay-Z and Will Smith. The first eight-episode season Of Women of the Movement is based on the book Emmett Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement by Devery S. Anderson. It will focus on Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie Till, who changed her life to get justice in her son’s name following his brutal murder in the Jim Crow South.

Emmett Till was 14 years old in 1955 while visiting relatives in Mississippi when he was tortured and murdered. Till’s mother Mamie demanded an open casket public funeral, with the image of the boy’s body shocking the world. Mamie’s influencer had a profound impact on the civil rights movement
