As a condition of working on set, all talent are required to get a paid Covid-19 test(s) at a production sanctioned testing facility prior to any work dates. Payment will be paid as a quarter of the workday base rate for each test day.

The test performed is a mid-nasal swab. Additional testing may also be done on workdays.

While at the test facility and on set, Production requires that a face mask that covers your nose and mouth be worn. All possible work dates are contingent upon clearing these tests.

Location: Near Airport in NJ – must self report. Easily accessible via mass transit from Manhattan. Must be local hire.

Usage: Will air on plane after safety video.

Coronavirus: Hollywood Filmmakers Issue Warning Theaters Are Facing Extinction

Several of Hollywood’s biggest filmmakers have signed an open letter warning the US Congress theaters to face extinction.

Jordan Peele, Greta Gerwig, Clint Eastwood, Lulu Wang, Martin Scorsese and more have signed a letter asking for additional pandemic relief for the cinemas due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

AMC, the largest cinema chain the United States said in June it could go out of business after a record $2.4 billion loss in the first quarter of the year.

“Cinemas are an essential industry that represent the best that American talent and creativity have to offer. But now we fear for their future,” the letter began, per The Hollywood Reporter.

“Our country cannot afford to lose the social, economic and cultural value that theaters provide. The moviegoing experience is central to American life. Theaters are great unifiers where our nation’s most talented storytellers showcase their cinematic accomplishments.”

The letter went on to highlight that cinemas “support millions of jobs in movie production and distribution, and countless others in surrounding restaurants and retailers that rely on theaters for foot traffic.

“Movie theaters are also leaders in employing underrepresented groups, including people with disabilities, senior citizens, and first-time job holders.”

The letter was sent by the National Association of Theatre Owners, the Directors Guild of America, and the Motion Picture Association, addressing Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy.

Regal To Close All Theaters This Week After James Bond Movie Delay

Regal Cinemas to close all theaters this week after James Bond No Time To Die got pushed back.

The owner of the largest chain of theaters in the UK and Ireland the second largest in the United States, Regal Cinemas, will reportedly close all of its theaters this week.

According to Variety, all 543 theaters in the United States will close, which accounts for over 7,000 movie theaters across the country. The Sunday Times reports over 100 theaters in the UK and Ireland will also close.

Why is Cineworld – Regal Cinemas closing?

According to reports, James Bond is the reason why. On Friday, the 25th James Bond movie, No Time To Die, was pushed back to April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apparently, theaters were counting on the movie to help theaters with poor ticket sales.

No Time To Die was pushed back for an entire year. It will now hit theaters on April 2nd, 2021. Originally the movie was supposed to arrive in April 2202, before getting delayed to this November due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new delay gives the world five months to potentially recover and for people to decide whether they will return to theaters again.

Cineworld reported a loss of $1.6 billion in the first six months of 2020. AMC, the largest US theater chain, has experienced similar results due to the pandemic.

Bond is not the only movie getting pushed back. Black Widow, The Falcon, and the Winter Soldier, and many other films are pushed back until 2021. The Batman, which stars Robert Pattinson is reportedly getting pushed back by months due to the Coronavirus.

The entertainment industry’s current business model believes movies require a theatrical release, despite streaming services and experiments.  It is clear, the film industry is changing.

Millie Bobby Brown reveals how difficult it was for her to find work as an actor early in her career.

The teen actress appeared on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she revealed she almost quit acting after getting rejected from a role on Game of Thrones.

Before Millie Bobby Brown was cast as Eleven on Stranger Things, Brown said she became “disheartened” by the film industry, which she said is “just full of rejection 24/7.”

“I feel like you do get a lot of noes before you get a yes,” she explained of the casting process, adding that she was auditioning for “anything really” at the time.

Millie Bobby Brown says she auditioned for Game of Thrones, which was a role she “really wanted.”

“I got a no for that and then that’s when I was like, ‘Oh, this is really difficult,'” she told Fallon.

After nearly quitting her career as an actress, Brown said she gave her “last kind of go” at a “Netflix show called Montauk,” which later became the hit Georgia-filmed series Stranger Things.

I auditioned and two months later they got back to us and said, ‘Hey we’d love to Skype with you’ and I Skyped with them, and the rest is history,” she said with a smile.

“Montauk was definitely the one that kind of gave me that hope of doing it all again,” Brown added.

On Thursday, Netflix announced the series resumed production on season 4 after filming was delayed due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Today in Hawkins…,” Netflix tweeted alongside a photo of a clapperboard positioned in front of a clock.

For the “person who can’t go home stuck in Toronto”: We are looking for someone age 25+, any gender and ethnicity, working in Toronto, but with their family elsewhere in Canada or abroad that they would typically spend the holidays with or had planned on spending the holidays with but of course due to several potential reasons, this year they cannot.

Example Stories:

International Families:

Students, or workers who aren’t able to travel back home during the holidays. Canadians who have older relatives in other countries. Due to COVID or other travel restrictions you cannot make the trip and spend the holidays with them. Or Somebody who lives in Canada but has a lot of family overseas. She doesn’t normally go home over the holidays, but it’s when she misses family and food the most.

“Holiday Workers”:

Firefighters, hospital workers, taxi drivers, etc who usually have to work over the holidays so they can’t be with their families from a different part of Canada. Small business owners as well. Example: Young paramedic in Toronto who works through the holiday season and doesn’t have time to go home to Ottawa. Or maybe a Hospital worker who is avoiding contact with her parents to be safe, so you have to spend holidays alone. Or Small restaurant/business owners who need to try to stay open during the holiday and can’t go home.

Whatever your story is we want to hear all about it.

Major Feature Film Open Casting Call in New Mexico (UPDATE)

A major feature film is now casting talent in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Casting directors are now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming in October to early November 2020. Details for the movie have not been released. However, according to KOAT, Netflix’s The Harder They Fall is now filming in New Mexico.

It is the first project to start filming in New Mexico since COVID-19 put a hold on production across the state. The new movie includes some award-winning actors including Idris Elba and Regina King. In fact, Music mogul Jay-Z is producing it.

The Harder They Fall is an upcoming Western film directed by Jeymes Samuel, who has also co-written the screenplay with Boaz Yakin. It stars Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba, Zazie Beetz, Lakeith Stanfield, Delroy Lindo and Regina King.

The Harder They Fall follows outlaw Nat Love (Majors), who discovers that the man (Elba) who killed his parents two decades ago is being released from prison and decides to reunite with his gang to track his enemy down and seek his revenge.
