‘The Hangover III’ Open Casting Call

[Arizona] Consider the competition for the best party film series officially scrambled. Warner Brothers have announced that they are preparing a third installment in the “Hangover” series. The billion dollar grossing comedy franchise about three friends whose mis-guided adventures end up resulting in a collective memory loss followed by ridiculous attempts to retrace their previous steps. Do you want to join in on the mayhem, despair and sleuth of bad decisions? Well here is your chance. Casting Directors are holding a two day open call to fill various roles in the upcoming project.

The studio is holding two casting calls for men and women “of all ethnicities” who are 18 and older, according to press materials. The first casting call will be at the Tucson Marriott University Park, 880 E. Second St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sept. 14. The other will be held at the Nogales Best Western Hotel, 750 W. Shell Road in Nogales, Arizona from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 15.While it’s not a family film, Aviano said, the shoot might also require some scenes involving 10 to 20 children.Parents are encouraged to bring close-up photos of their kids but not the youngsters themselves.

Warner Brotehrs said that the series stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis will return for their roles as three friends, Phil, Stu and Alan, in “The Hangover Part III,” whi is planned for release on May 24, 2013. Todd Phillips who directed the last two films also announced that he is excited about returning as director.

The original “Hangover” released in 2009, set its characters lose in Vegas and sold well over $467 million dollars in tickets worldwide. While the sequel beat the first movie with a total of $581 million dollars earned globally.

No setting or plot description has been announced for “The Hangover Part III” but Todd Phillips stated that they are going to surprise a lot of people with the final chapter in the series. “It will be a fitting conclusion to our three-part opera of mayhem, despair and bad decisions”

Production on the third and final sequel to The Hangover is still ongoing through til November in parts of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Arizona, and Tijuana, Mexico. The casting director is currently seeking college-looking men and women. They are also seeking attractive party-goer types. $6,000 Playstation ‘God of War’ Commercial Now Casting

Casting Directors are now casting for a Playstation commercial. Playstation is looking for models and actors for an upcoming ‘God of War’ commercial. This commercial is Non-Union and will be playd on the internet, in stores, and will be used in live events. It will be for three years and will be broadcasted for 1 year.

Interviews will be held September 6th, and September 7th in Los Angeles and expect one week for a callback. The shooting for the commercial will be held on October 25th and October 26th.

The payrate is 600.00 session fee (12 hours) plus a 5,000 complete buyout not also including a Wardrobe and Rehearsal compensation.

NBC ‘Revolution’ Casting Directors Now Casting Actors for Various Roles

[North Carolina] Casting directors are now casting actors for various positions for the upcoming Revolution series.

Revolution is an upcoming American Science Fiction dramatic TV series that will air on NBC on Mondays. The network recently placed a series order in May 2012 after filming the pilot in Atlanta, Georgia. The series is created by Eric Kripke and is produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk. Iron Man director Jon Favreau directed the pilot episode and the series is set to premiere September 17, 2012.

Casting Directors have not started casting for the movie yet. but everything is on track as former X-Men producer signs on to produce this upcoming film.

Metal Gear Solid is one of the most successful video game franchises of all time and it is still on its way to get a big screen adaptation. Recently, X-Men and Spider man producer Avi Avrad has announced that he has come on board to produce the Metal Gear Solid the movie. The film is slated to describe the story of Solid Snake, a genetically engineered soldier whose mission to infiltrate a munitions factor and destroy a deadly weapon, known as Metal Gear.

It is easy to say the Snake of the video game franchise is more than a cliché mix of Bourne identity and Escape from New York. Avrad stated that he is taking his time to bringing the video game to the big screen in order to ensure the film comes out right. The game itself has had a history of being very cinematic in its execution but the challenge is creating a compelling narrative about a man sneaking around a military base. Casting for this film has not been completed.

‘The Hobbit’ Trilogy Release Dates Now Released

Hobbit fans can now rejoice! Hobbit fans will only have to wait seven months between the second and third installments of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit Trilogy!

Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM Pictures announced last Friday the final in the series will be called “The Hobbit: There and back Again” and released worldwide on July 18, 2014. The second filmed was renamed “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”.

Here is the scheduled release dates :

  • — “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,’ Dec. 14, 2012.
  • — “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” Dec. 13, 2013.
  • — “The Hobbit: There and Back Again,” July 18, 2014.

The series of is adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien’s masterpiece “The Hobbit: series will be released in the latest film quality, High Frame Rate 3-D, IMAX, and 2-D.

USA ‘Psych’ Casting Information

Psych is an American detective comedy-drama TV series created by Steve Franks and is currently broadcasted on the USA Network. Psych centers on Shawn, young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara Police Department, whose “heightened observational skills” and detective instincts allow him to convince people that he has psychic abilities. The series airs episodes every Wednesdays at 10PM on USA Network. Psych debuted on Friday, July 7, 2006 and currently Psych has been renewed for a seventh season.

Psych also features Dulé Hill, as he plays Burton “Gus” Guster, Shawn’s best friend and business partner. He is also a pharmaceutical salesman. Unlike Shawn he takes his job very seriously and tries to act professionally, but eventually ends up tagging along with Shawn’s jokes and adventures. He is famous for his many aliases and being attracted tall types of females that end up being prime suspects.

Psych averages about 6.1 million viewers and is rated the highest scripted series to premiere on basic cable in 2006 for all demographics, according to the USA Network press release. Psych is also been nominated for 2010 Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Music Composition for a series.

ABC ‘Last Resort’ Pilot Casting Information

Last Resort is an upcoming American Military drama series created by Shawn Ryan for ABC. Last Resort is produced by Sony Pictures Televisions and will premier on September 27, 2012 and will be broadcasted regularly on Thursdays at 8:00 pm Eastern. The series is about a renegade crew of United States Navy ballistic missile submarine that ends up defying orders to launch a series of nuclear missles towards Pakistan, a decision that will cost the commanding his career. When his replacement also questions the same orders, the vessel is fired upon and the crew are left for dead. After realizing they have been declared enemies of their own country, they set up camp on a Sainte Marine, and declare themselves a sovereign nation with nuclear capability. However, the crew must find a way to prove their innocence and find out who set them up in order for them to come home to America.

NBC ‘Parks and Recreation’ Casting Information

Parks and Recreation is a comedy TV series on NBC. The series is led by Amy Poehler, who plays as Leslie Knope, a cute mid-level bureaucrat in the parks and recreation department of Pawnee, Indiana. The series was created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur and was debuted on April 2009. The show has currently ran for four seasons and was recently renewed for a fifth season. Interesting to note is that the directing of the show is in the form of a mockumentary, implying that a documentary crew is filming everyone in the parks and recreation office. Recently, however, directors have tried to steer away from The Office, which also features this type of filming style, by adding multiple camera angles and frequent jump cuts.

The writers of Parks and Recreation researched local California politics for the show by contacting urban planners and elected officials. The Leslie Knope character underwent major changes after the first season after much of the audience feedback saw her as unintelligent and stupid. The writing staff also tried to include current events into their episodes, including a government shutdown, which was also inspired by current global financial crisis.

Typically, Parks and Recreation received mixed reviews during its first season and many compared The Office. However, after the first season and changes to the plot, charcters, and filming style, Parks and Recreation was able to receive an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series and a large online fan base following the character Ron Swanson.

Amy Poehler, plays Leslie Knope, a mid level bureaucrat with a strong love for her hometown Pawnee, Indiana. Her ultimate goal is to one day become the President of the United States. Amy originally left Saturday Night Live after working as a major star for close to seven years. It was not until she agreed to be in the show that the actual concept and pilot for the show was written. Other main characters include Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubry Plaza, and Paul Schneider.

House of Anubis is an American/British teen drama mystery TV series based on the Dutch TV series Het Huis Anubis that aired in the Netherlands. The series was originally created by Hans Bourlon and Gert Verhust. Currently, House of Anubis plays on Nickelodeon. Moreover, the series is filmed overseas, and is considered as the first soap opera created by Nickelodeon that is aimed at children and teenagers.

House of Anubis is a building dating from the 1890s and is the home for yen teenagers under the watch of a strict caretaker, Victor Rodenmaar Jr. Then suddenly a resident disappears without warning and the school staff eliminate the existence of the resident from the school. Since then, students are forced to deal with the loss of a classmate, roommate, and friend. But, weird and out of the ordinary things continue to happen to the group.

Youth Television News commended Nickelodeon’s attempt at a drama series saying “a good story always outdoes a repetitive sitcom”. Currently, House of Anubis brings in 2.9 million viewers and is ranked #1 among all broadcast and basic cable programs in its time slot for all pre-teen and teen demographics.

Hart of Dixie is a comedy-drama TV series that premiered on The CW network in 2011. The series is created by Leila Gerstein. The new doctor Zoe Hart has it all planned, after graduating top of her class from medical school she attempts to follow her father’s steps and become a cardio-thoracic surgeon. But her dreams end up falling apart and she takes a job in a small practice in Bluebell, Alabama. Dr. Hart quickly learns that the South is not as friendly as she thought it would be and quickly has to adjust to the new area she attempts to practice in.

Hart of Dixie features Rachel Bilson, Jaime King, Cress Williams, Wilson Bethel, Tim Matheson, and Scott Porter. Grimm is a police fantasy TV drama series. Grimm first debuted on NBC in 2011 and the series follows Homicide detective Nick Burkhardt of the Portland Police Bureau. Nick later learns he is descended from a line of “guardians” known as Grimms that are in charge of keeping the balance between humanity and mythological creatures known as “Wesen” Throughout each episode he must fight against a number of dangerous creatures. Luckily he has the help from his friend Monroe, and detective partner Hank Griffin.

Many of the episodes are loosely based on stories written by the Brothers Grimm, and other fables, legends. A press release by NBC in 2011 stated that Grimm was averaging about 6.4 million U.S viewers for the first season, and was recently renewed for a second season.

Grimm features David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz, Reggie Lee, and Bree Turner. Franklin & Bash is  a comedy TV series created by Kevin Falls and Bill Chais. The TV series follows two unordinary lawyers and friends that are two streetwise attorneys. After defeating a prestigious law firm they are recruited to add life to the failing law firm. Helping Franklin and Bash is Carmen Phillips, an ex-convict who assists with background investigations on cases, and an agoraphobic attorney, Pindar Singh. The series was created for the TBS network, and the original pilot was filmed in Atlanta in late March in 2010. TBS later decided the series was a better fit for TNT, and production moved to Los Angeles. The pilot episode achieved 2.7 million total viewers, and averages around 3.5 million total viewers per episode.

Franklin & Bash features Breckin Meyer, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dana Davis, Garcelle Beauvis, Kumail Nanjiani, Malcolm McDowell, and Reed Diamond. The series is produced by Jamie Tarses, Kevin Falls, Bill Chais, and Jason Ensler in association with FanFare Productions, Four Sycamore Productions, Left Coast Productions, and Sony Pictures Television

Friend Me is an upcoming TV comedy series that is based on the real life website coupon service company Groupon. The series was created by Alan Kirschenbaum and Ajay Sahgal and will be broadcasted on CBS. Friend Me follows to young men who move from Indiana to Los Angeles to start their new lives working for the online business Groupon. The show is expected to be premiered as a midseason entry during the 2012 and 2013 TV season.

Friend Me will feature Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicholas Braun. Friend Me is also produced by  Tannenbaum Company and CBS Studios.

Since this is a pilot that has just started filming it will have many opportunities for all aspiring actors.

Warehouse 13 is a TV series that first premiered in 2009 on the SyFy network. It has been described by critics as borrowing from the horror television series Friday the 13th (1987 -1990) as well as parts from the X-Files, and Raiders of the Lost Ark. The series was the third largest debut for the SyFy channel with 3.5 million viewers.

Warehouse 13 follows U.S Secret Service Agents Myka Bering and Pete Lattimere when they are assigned to a secret government Warehouse for supernatural artifacts. The secret warehouse is located in South Dakota, and was originally deemed as a punishment for both agents. But as they go on their assignments to retrieve new artifacts, or missing artifacts, they discover the importance of what they are doing.

Warehouse 13 features Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Genelle Williams, Allison Scagliotti, Simon Reynolds, and Aaron Ashmore. Warehouse 13 is produced in association with Universal Cable Productions with Jack Kenny, and David Simkins.

CW ‘Arrow’ Casting Information

Arrow is an upcoming action and adventure television series based upon Green Arrow, a fictional superhero from DC Comics. The show will air on The CW on Wednesday at 8:00 pm Eastern in early October. Arrow was created Mort Weisinger, and George Papp and was developed by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kresberg.

The series will feature Stephen Arnell, Colin Donnell, Katie Cassidy, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Jamey Sheridan, Susanna Thompson, and Paul Blackthorne. The new series, Arrow, is produced by Warner Bros. Television, Berlanti Television, and DC Comics.

This is a great opportunity for all aspiring actors. The pilot is currently still filming and will be a great way for many individuals to get their foot in the door, inside the entertainment industry.

The Exes is a comedy TV series on TV Land. Divorce attorney helps her client, Stuart by introducing him to a new apartment with two other divorced men. At first the two other men, Phil, and Haskell have their reservations about Stuart moving in, but Holly promises to assist with the transition when things start to go down hill.

The Exes feature Donald Faison as Phil Chase, a womanizing divorced man who is only really focused on his own interests. Wayne Knight as Haskell Lutz, a lazy, divorced roommate who sells various items on the internet and former professional bowler. Kristen Johnson as Holly Brooks, a divorce attorney whose former clients and friends live across the hall in an apartment she owns. She often plays matchmaker but she herself struggles to meet the right man. David Alan Basche, a successful dentist and recently divorced man who is trying to get over his feeligns for his ex-wife.

Eagle Heart is an action comedy TV series that premiered in Early 2011, on Cartoon Network’s late night block, Adult Swim. Eagle heart is produced by Conan O’Brien’s production company, Conaco, and is the first show produced by Conaco, that was renewed for a second season other than late Night with Conan O’Brien and Conan.

Eagle heart is based on US Marshal Chris Monsanto as he fights crime with his two partners, Brett and by-the-book Susie. They capture drug smugglers, art thieves, kidnappers, and conartists. Typically, with bloody violence and gruesome deaths becoming a normal occurrence. The Marshals must report to the The Chief who gives their daily assignments. Eagleheart parodies many crime and cop television shows, most notably Walker, Texas ranger.

Eagle heart features Chris Elliott, Maria Thayer, Brett Gelman, Michael Gladis, and Jack Wallace. Eagleheart is also produced in association with Michael Koman, Andrew Weinberg, Jason Wollner, Troy Miller, Tracey Baird, David Kissinger, and Conan O’Brien in association with Williams Street, Conaco, Dakota and Pictures.
