Comedic Male Monologue: “Reservoir Dogs” Mr. Pink

0

Film Reservoir Dogs
Author Quentin Tarantino
Role Mr.  Pink
Actor Steve Buscemi

Uh uh, I don’t tip. No, I don’t believe in it. … Don’t give me that, if she don’t make enough money she can quit. … I don’t tip because society says I have to. All right, I mean I’ll tip if someone really deserves a tipping, if they really put forth the effort, I’ll give them something extra, but I mean this tipping automatically, it’s for the birds. I mean as far as I’m concerned they’re just doing their job. … She was okay. She wasn’t anything special. … Look I ordered coffee all right? Now we’ve been here a long fuckin’ time, she’s only filled my cup three times. When I order coffee I want it filled six times. … The words “too fuckin’ busy” shouldn’t be in a waitress’ vocabulary. … Jesus Christ, these ladies aren’t starving to death. They make minimum wage. I used to work minimum wage and when I did I wasn’t lucky enough to have a job that society deemed tip worthy. … You know what this is? It’s the world’s smallest violin playing just for the waitresses. … So is working at McDonald’s but you don’t feel the need to tip them do you? Well why not? They’re serving you food. But no, society says don’t tip these guys over here, but tip these guys over here. That’s bullshit. … Fuck all that. … I mean I’m very sorry the government taxes their tips. That’s fucked up. That ain’t my fault. I mean it would appear that waitresses are one of the many groups the government fucks in the ass on a regular basis. I mean show a piece of paper that says the government shouldn’t do that, I’ll sign it, put it to a vote, I’ll vote for it, but what I won’t do is play ball. And this non-college bullshit I got two words for that: learn to fucking type, ’cause if you’re expecting me to help out with the rent you’re in for a big fucking surprise.

Meryl Streep “The Devil Wears Prada: Comedic Female Monologue

0

Film The Devil Wears Prada
Author Aline Brosh  McKenna
Role Miranda Priestly
Actor Meryl Streep
The Devil Wears Prada centers on a naive young woman comes to New York and scores a job as the assistant to one of the city’s biggest magazine editors, the ruthless and cynical Miranda Priestly. Meryl Streep does an amazing job in this monologue from the iconic and popular film, The Devil Wears Prada.
This stuff’? Oh, ok. I see, you think this has nothing to do with you. You go to your closet and you select out, oh I don’t know, that lumpy blue sweater, for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you put on your back. But what you don’t know is that that sweater is not just blue, it’s not turquoise, it’s not lapis, it’s actually cerulean. You’re also blindly unaware of the fact that in 2002, Oscar de la Renta did a collection of cerulean gowns. And then I think it was Yves St Laurent, wasn’t it, who showed cerulean military jackets? And then cerulean quickly showed up in the collections of eight different designers. Then it filtered down through the department stores and then trickled on down into some tragic “casual corner” where you, no doubt, fished it out of some clearance bin. However, that blue represents millions of dollars and countless jobs and so it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the fashion industry when, in fact, you’re wearing the sweater that was selected for you by the people in this room. From a pile of “stuff.”

“The Departed” Jack Nicholson: Male Dramatic Monologue

0

In the feature film “The Departed” Jack Nicholson does an interesting monologue that will capture audiences and more. “The Departed” centers on an undercover state cop who infiltrated a Mafia clan and a mole in the police force working for the same mob race to track down and identify each other before being exposed to the enemy, after both sides realize their outfit has a rat.

Film The Departed
Author William Monahan
Role Frank Costello
Actor Jack Nicholson

I don’t want to be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me. Years ago we had the church. That was only a way of saying – we had each other. The Knights of Columbus were real head-breakers; true guineas. They took over their piece of the city. Twenty years after an Irishman couldn’t get a fucking job, we had the presidency. May he rest in peace. That’s what the niggers don’t realize. If I got one thing against the black chappies, it’s this – no one gives it to you. You have to take it.

Want to Become a Model? Ford Models Agency Open Calls and More

0

Ford Models agency is now seeking new talent

The Ford Modeling Agency, or as it is known today Ford Models, is a modeling agency in New York City. It was established in 1946 by Eileen and the late Gerard W. Ford.

Ford Models was originally started in 1946 by both Eileen and Gerard W. “Jerry” Ford. Back then, Ford was the very first company to really advance their models money owed by jobs that had been completed but not yet paid. Did you know that the Ford family had the tradition of allowing teenage models who originate far from New York City to stay in their home?

The company was the pre-eminent New York agency until John Casablancas of Elite Model Management opened up in the city, leading to the “model wars” of the 1980s. Ford, like many of the original agencies of the 1970s, now has to compete with a broad field of contenders, such as Women, IMG and DNA.

The agency has represented a diverse list of models and celebrities. In 1980, the company established the Ford Supermodel of the World Contest that attracts more than 60,000 hopefuls annually from around the world.

In recent years the company has diversified into other professions related to the fashion industry through Ford Artists. They represent hair stylists, makeup artists, manicurists, stylists, set designers, prop stylists, art directors, and photographers.

In addition to the New York City headquarters, Ford Artists has offices in, Miami, Chicago, Phoenix, and Toronto.

Open Calls:

FORD holds open calls in Chicago from 2 pm to 4 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Fridays during the Summer, when the agency closes at 1pm). At the moment, we do not hold open calls at any other location, and we kindly ask you to submit your application via this form.FORD’s Tips to Getting Scouted: Professional model scouts are looking for something different than you might expect. We don’t want to see you in your fanciest outfit with lots of makeup on. We are looking for you at your most natural.

FORD’s Tips for Being Scouted:

  • Have a clean face with absolutely no makeup.
  • Pull your hair back.
  • Wear a form-fitting outfit like skinny jeans and a tank top. We need to see the shape of your body.

Are you looking for a monologue? Search our collection of Popular Monologues for Free!

Monologues are essential to providing the casting director a feel for the person auditioning as well as providing the moment for the actor to shine. This iconic monologue by Alexandra Medford played by Cher in the movie “The WItches of Eastwick” is an amazing monologue that will allow for any female to illustrate her comedic talents as well as illustrating a layer of sassiness.

Film The Witches of Eastwick
Author Michael Cristofer
Role Alexandra Medford
Actor Cher

Well, you know, I have to admit that I appreciate your directness, Darryl, and I will try to be as direct and honest with you as I possibly can be. I think-no, I am positive-that you are the most unattractive man I have ever met in my entire life. You know, in the short time we’ve been together you have demonstrated every loathsome characteristic of the male personality and even discovered a few new ones. You are physically repulsive, intellectually retarded, you’re morally reprehensible, vulgar, insensitive, selfish, stupid, you have no taste, a lousy sense of humor, and you smell. You’re not even interesting enough to make me sick.
