Do you want to be on Project Runway in 2014? Here is your shot !

Project Runway is casting for the upcoming season of the hit
fashion design competition. An open casting call is scheduled
for next week in New York City.

You can see more about the Project Runway tryouts 2014.
This may be your last chance to show the casting directors your
designs because the deadline for online and mail submissions
has already passed. This may be the last casting call the show
will have for the 2014 season.

If you think you have what it takes to show your work at Fashion Week 2014, here is your chance to apply for the show and show the show’s casting directors your work. Please be sure to read about what you need to bring below in order to be considered.
Project Runway is hosted by Heidi Klum with Tim Gunn as a mentor. The show airs on Lifetime television.
Please bring five to six of your most recently made garments that
demonstrate your sewing skills and fashion point of view.

Please do NOT bring any bridal, costumes, or garments that were sewn by others, but designed by you. Be prepared for only two of your garments to be looked at, so choose accordingly. Also, please bring a portfolio if you have one !

MTV Buzzworthy says “Jake Miller is about to blow up! Jake just released a brand-new video and we’re mildly obsessed, to say the least.
Jake’s rap flow is serious, and we haven’t even discussed his vocals yet! Unsurprisingly, Jake’s also got a killer set of pipes.” The Miami Herald recently featured Jake in a full page article titled Young Rapper in the Fast Lane, and goes on to say “It’s Miller time! Get used to hearing the name Jake Miller. The Weston rapper is on his way. At just 19, the singer-songwriter is a Web sensation.”
J-14 Magazine featured Jake in their weekly Hot Music Alert section while YoungHollywood.com says “South Floridian Teen Jake Miller (is) breaking through to the Music Mainstream.” WFOR-TV (CBS Miami) says “Jake Miller is a star on the rise whose catchy rap tunes are exploding all over the internet.” On March 6, 2012, MTV.com did the exclusive music video premiere of Jake’s single “I’m Alright.”
Jake went on a Florida radio tour in March, 2012 to promote his single, “What I Wouldn’t Give,” and at one point, it was the only record near the top 50 on the Top 40 charts by a completely independent artist.

And there’s not a car in site, the snap instead featuring Diesel and co-star Paul Walker standing in front of a lake and looking pretty upset!

The forthcoming flick is directed by James Wan – who is currently sitting atop the U.S. box office thanks to Insidious: Chapter 2 – and sees Jason Statham and Tony Jaa joining the ever-expanding Fast & Furious cast.

Love The Walking Dead? AMC Announces “The Walking Dead” Spinoff

AMC have announced they are in the initial stages of development on what they’re calling a “companion” series to The Walking Dead.

Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman,Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert are executive producing with spinoff series, scheduled to  debut in 2015.

While The Walking Dead has taken Kirkman’s comic book as its inspiration, using most of the same characters (albeit often then veering in its own directions), the new series will be about a different group of survivors.

Time will tell if we’ll meet any of the new characters first on The Walking Dead or if the show will take place in such an entirely different area of the world.

“Building on the success of the most popular show on television for adults 18-49 is literally a no-brainer,” said Charlie Collier, AMC’s president and general manager. “We look forward to working with Robert, Gale and Dave again as we develop an entirely new story and cast of characters. It’s a big world and we can’t wait to give fans another unforgettable view of the zombie apocalypse.”

“After 10 years of writing the comic book series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn’t be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of The Walking Dead universe,” said Kirkman. “The opportunity to make a show that isn’t tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing.”

 

‘Insidious Chapter 2’ Beats Expectations with $41 Million

“Insidious Chapter 2” beat expectations with a 41 million dollars during their first weekend.

Increased by a Friday-the-13th launch, FilmDistrict’s low-budget horror sequel “Insidious Chapter 2″ beat many critic expectations with an estimated $41.1 million, making it the largest opening in September for a horror film.

“Insidious 2,” which cost just $5 million from producer Jason Blum’s Blumhouse shingle, beat the month’s previous scarer record holdover, “The Exorcism of Emily Rose,” which opened with $30.5 million in 2005. Surprisingly,

The FilmDistrict-distributed feature film has the second-largest overall opening in September, next only to last year’s toon “Hotel Transylvania” ($42.5 million).

Most of the revenue came from midnight and Friday movie viewers. There was a 33% drop on Saturday to Sunday box office sales, mostly due to the Friday-the-13th hype was all over.
