‘Sinister 2’ Casting Call for Stand-ins and Extras in Chicago

‘Sinister 2’ is now filming in Chicago, Illinois and casting directors are looking for a stand-ins, extras, and featured roles.

A stand-in is a person who works closely with the crew to light and block the scene as they stand in, in place of the actor during the setup for each scene.

According to Deadline, ‘Sinister 2‘ will start filming this Summer and will be the sequel to Scott Derrickson’s Sinister made $77 million on a small budget of only $3 million. Scott Derickson will team up with C. Robert Cargill in the new sequel as Cargill will write the sequel’s screenplay.

In ‘Sinister‘, Ethan Hawke played a crime novelist struggling to find his next big story but discovers a box of home videos showing several families brutally murdered. His investigation leads him to a supernatural entity that may be placing his on family in danger.

Casting directors are looking for a little person to work as a stand-in in the feature film. In addition, casting directors are searching for teenagers that are overweight/chubby to work as a featured extra for several scenes in the upcoming horror film.

The new drama on the USA network is described as a “provocative drama that explores modern marriage at its midpoint.” The new television series features Matt Passmore (“The Glades”) as Neil Truman and Stephanie Szostack, (“The Devil Wears Prada”) as Grace.

The USA network describes the series by answering the question, “What do you do when having it all is not enough?” by delving into their shocking and unconventional choices.

American Crime centers on a racially charged murder the subsequent trial, which are examined through the personal lives of the people involved in the crime. Fox ‘Sleepy Hollow‘ Season 2 casting call for men with law enforcement experience in Wilmington, North Carolina.

This modern-day twist on Washington Irving’s classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen”) is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping Headless is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and only one of the many formidable foes that Ichabod must face to protect not only Sleepy Hollow, but the world (FOX).

3 Things You Need to Do to Prepare for a Talent Agency Interview

Looking for a Talent Agent? Three things you should do before interviewing and signing with a Talent Agency.

Are you in the process of looking for a talent agent? Finding the right talent agent can have a huge impact on your acting career. But, how do you prepare for an interview with a talent agency?

Do you know what questions you should be asking? Do you know what questions agencies will ask you? How many copies of your resume should you bring? What should you wear?

These are important questions that can make or break your interview with a talent agency. Moreover, if you know what to do during an interview, will help your acting career tremendously.

First off, an agent interview should be just as much as you interviewing them. You are going to want to see how much that talent agent is going to work for you. At the same time, agencies are going to see if you are willing and ready to work hard at your career. Present the best version of yourself and be relaxed at the meeting. If you come off nervous or desperate, then it will make talent agents reconsider signing with you.

Here are four things you should know before stepping into a talent agency’s office.

#1. What have you done lately?

Casting directors are going to ask you the following questions:

What casting directors know you? What have you been working on lately? Are you in classes now? Who are you studying with? Do you have any commercial conflicts that are currently active? What roles are you being called in for? What are you short and long term goals?

Make sure you know the answer to these questions as it will demonstrate your commitment and seriousness.

#2. What should you wear and what should you bring?

Dress like you do for auditions. Be prepared to look business professional. Talent agencies will want you to send them a digital copy of your headshot and acting resumes. But, make sure to bring at least one to your audition.

#3. Questions you should ask the talent agency

This is probably the most important part of your interview. You want to make sure you are working with a reputable agencies by asking the following questions:

Do you have many people of my type? What CD’s would you like me to meet? Which CD’s are you closest with? (Know who casts what, so you can chat about how to get on their shows or in their films) How do you prefer to be contacted? By email or phone or text? Do you like or hate walk-ins? Are we going to be signing or freelance?

Take your time before signing on the dotted line as this will be a huge step in your acting career. But, enjoy the experience. Very few people get interviews and even fewer people get signed.

‘The Best Man Wedding’ Casting Call for Michael Ealy’s Stand-in in Los Angeles

‘The Best Man Wedding‘ posted a casting call for Michael Ealy’s stand-in and photo double for scenes filming in Los Angeles.

Universal has announced that the third movie in the ‘Best Man’ series, which follows 2013?s The Best Man Holiday and 1999?s The Best Man, is titled The Best Man Wedding and will be released on Friday, April 15, 2016.

The Best Man Wedding will feature Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Terrence Howard, Sanna Lathan, Harold Perrineau, Morris Chestnut, Nia Long, Katt Williams and Melissa De Sousa.

As the film’s description puts it, the gang returns to “celebrate the group’s most unexpected wedding to date.” Malcolm D. Lee will again write and direct, with Sean Daniel returning to produce.
