CASTING CALL: NJ Indie Horror short

Shooting: Central Jersey, aiming for July/August 2023

Non-union/non-paid

Logline: Four college students go up to a cabin for a weekend but by the end of the weekend, none of them return home.

Character Descriptions (19-25; any race/gender preferences are welcomed):

Angela – early 20s, girl-next-door type, comes off prim & proper but underneath has a dark side

Kim – early 20s, spunky best friend, not afraid to speak her mind and is loyal to her friends, free-spirited

Paul – early 20s, goofball but means well, stands up for what’s good, can come across corny

Robbie – early 20s, overly confident jock, speaks before he thinks, dry sense of humor

Ambiguous male character – in search for tall (5’10 +) male. Non-speaking.

TALENT SPECS:  OVERALL

We are looking for:

• People that can pull off the friendly, approachable, and professional look of a Neighborly service professional.
• We want our talent to be diverse in ethnicity and gender (unless specified otherwise).
• Everyone must be clean shaven and have no visible tattoos.
• They should appear as real life people, not supermodels.
• We are open to diversity in body shape and size as long as that doesn’t hinder their ability to perform their task.
• Experience in manual labor or performing the tasks of a service professional (plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.) is a plus, but not mandatory.

Specifically:

• Males – any ethnicity between the ages of 25 – 45

ON-CAMERA PRIMARY PERFORMERS (SERVICE PROS):

Estimated number of performers required: 17

SESSION: We intend to book talent at $500 USD (based on a 10-hour session, excluding meals) with all rights included. One-time $75 fitting fee for up to four (4) hours.  There is NO travel being provided, but client may provide a gas stipend for talent depending on location / mileage from Richmond, VA.

USAGE FEE: If, and only if, the performer’s on-camera likeness/performance is used in the final Materials, as defined below, performer will receive a Usage Fee of $3,000 USD.

SELF-CASTING: LATINE SOCCER PLAYERS & COACHES WHO HAVE MIGRAINES

In their “My Way to Well” series, SELF is looking to showcase the story of a NY or Los Angeles based female identifying Latine soccer player or coach who conquers migraines to stay at the top of her game.

Video will showcase her personal journey, her passion for the game, and how she manages her migraines to stay competitive.

Location: NY/Tristate Area or Los Angeles

Shoot day: 6/28-30

Compensation: $2,000 for shoot and usage

This photoshoot is for a construction company in CHICAGO.

Submissions will cut off later tonight because we will get many.

We are only looking for:

• ONE FEMALE. No one else.
• ANY ethnicity. 21 — 45 years old. 

Rate of Pay: 

Total = $400 ($150 for training day + $250 for shoot day)

You need to be totally available June 6th AND 7th. 

Day 1 is a couple hours of training. Day 2 is the shoot.

We are looking to cast:

• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in their 30s – 40s to feature in an upcoming campaign for an Australian support services company.
• TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER INDIVIDUAL (30-40 yrs)
• FIRST NATIONS MALE (30-40 yrs)

SHOOT DATE: 20th + 21st of June (1 x 6hr call)

TALENT FEES: Selected Talent will received $1,500 AUD for their involvement

NOW CASTING:

• PAID FEMALE EXTRAS, Ages 18+, All Ethnicities to portray extras for Tyler Perry Studios hit show “SISTAS” Season 7, in Atlanta, GA.
