A non-union scene recreation inspired by What to Expect When You’re Expecting is seeking a Boom Operator in Bushwick, New York. The role will support the production sound department by helping capture clear dialogue and on-set audio during filming. This is an unpaid production opportunity with professionally recorded footage provided for reel use.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate the boom microphone during filming.
• Capture clean and consistent dialogue.
• Coordinate with the Sound Mixer and production team.
• Monitor positioning to avoid interfering with camera framing.
• Follow sound and production direction throughout the shoot.

Requirements

• Experience with boom operation or production sound preferred.
• Submit relevant work or a reel.
• Include available sound equipment if applicable.
• Non-union production.

Compensation
