A non-union scene recreation inspired by What to Expect When You’re Expecting is seeking a Boom Operator in Bushwick, New York. The role will support the production sound department by helping capture clear dialogue and on-set audio during filming. This is an unpaid production opportunity with professionally recorded footage provided for reel use.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate the boom microphone during filming.
- Capture clean and consistent dialogue.
- Coordinate with the Sound Mixer and production team.
- Monitor positioning to avoid interfering with camera framing.
- Follow sound and production direction throughout the shoot.
Requirements
- Experience with boom operation or production sound preferred.
- Submit relevant work or a reel.
- Include available sound equipment if applicable.
