Casting Call for Documentary-Style Feature Film

Job Description
A documentary-style feature film is seeking non-union talent for multiple roles. Filming will take place this fall in Frederick, MD, with travel and lodging available for non-local actors. Each role will require 1–4 shooting days. This project is looking for authentic, versatile actors who can embody unique community-driven characters with depth and authenticity.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform assigned roles with strong character presence and believability

• Collaborate with the director and creative team to achieve storytelling goals

• Be available for rehearsals and on-set requirements as scheduled

• Bring professionalism, reliability, and creativity to the production

Requirements

• William: Male, 30s–40s, Caucasian, light brown or reddish hair and beard (or able to grow one), thin hair on top, articulate and artistic

• Kara: Female, 20s–30s, Caucasian, tall with very short light brown/reddish pixie-style hair, a natural community leader

• Jennifer: Female, 30s–40s, Caucasian, short blonde hair, strong politician presence

• April: Female, 20s, Caucasian, long blonde hair with bangs, free-thinking artist type

• Nicola: Male, 30s–50s, Italian/Caucasian, dark curly hair with mustache (or able to grow one), eccentric and charismatic community leader

• Ike: Male, 30s, African American, round clean-shaven face, very short haircut, eager newspaper journalist

• Jim R: Male, 50s–60s, Caucasian, bald with hair around back and sides, intellectual with eccentric undertones

• Bernie: Male, 50+, Caucasian, blonde or white full head of hair

Compensation

• $150–$400 per day depending on role
