Job Description
A major feature film is casting Indigenous background actors to appear in an 1800s period production filming in Western New York. This project is seeking members of Indigenous Nations to portray authentic characters in historically inspired scenes. The production welcomes individuals and families and aims to create a respectful, accurate on-screen representation.
Job Responsibilities

Appear on camera as background performers in period scenes

Portray historically inspired roles such as townspeople, families, and workers

Follow on-set direction from the assistant directors and production team

Maintain continuity, professionalism, and focus during filming

Participate in outdoor and group scenes as needed

Must be able to portray 1800s-era characters

Comfortable wearing period-appropriate wardrobe

Minors must have proper guardian documentation

Must be able to work as a local hire in Western New York

Casting Wheelchair User and Indigenous Individual for PSA Campaign
Job Description
A public service announcement campaign is seeking two featured roles to represent real stories with authenticity and impact. The project will film in Toronto and aims to cast individuals who embody the character of a teacher and a leader, highlighting inclusivity and diverse representation. This is a great opportunity to be featured in a meaningful, nationally seen campaign.
Job Responsibilities

Portray the role of a teacher or leader in a scripted PSA campaign

Participate in casting recall, wardrobe fitting, and scheduled shoot days

Deliver lines naturally and authentically on camera

Engage in direction from production during all stages of filming
Requirements

Wheelchair User: Any gender, age 25–45, to play the role of a teacher
-
Indigenous Individual: Any gender, age 30–60, to play the role of a leader
-
Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
-
Available for recall (Zoom for wheelchair users), wardrobe fitting, and shoot dates
-
Non-union performers are welcome
Compensation
-
Approx. $3,500 per person based on edit inclusion and usage

ACTRA commercial campaign

Usage includes all lifts and broadcast coverage
-
Some roles may require multiple shoot days
