Job Description
A historically inspired film is seeking Indigenous children for a one-day prop photo shoot. The imagery will portray children within the context of the residential school system, contributing to a project that aims to respectfully honor and share Indigenous stories. The production is led by an Indigenous female director and writer and is committed to authentic cultural representation.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in a still photo session for use within the film

• Follow direction to convey the tone and emotion required by the scene

• Be comfortable on set and maintain a calm, cooperative attitude

• Ensure appearance matches submitted reference photos on the day of shoot

Requirements

• Indigenous children, ages 7–10

• Must be available to work in Hamilton, ON

• Open to ACTRA members and non-union talent

• Photos submitted must clearly show current hair, face, and overall appearance

• Must be comfortable participating in a culturally significant, sensitive narrative

Compensation

• $78.75 for a 4-hour session

• Standard terms, including performer on-entry (POE) procedures, will be followed

A national commercial campaign is casting for the role of Bob, a lovable, bold, and quirky character who lives life like he’s in a classic rock anthem. Bob is big-hearted and big-voiced—someone who confidently mows the lawn shirtless while blasting Metallica, unaware that he’s the loudest guy on the block. This role requires comedic instincts, a fearless attitude, and the ability to shift between over-the-top humor and subtle moments of emotional depth.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray Bob with strong comedic timing and physical expressiveness

• Embody an energetic, lovable, and slightly oblivious character

• Balance big performances with nuanced, quiet intensity when needed

• Work collaboratively with the director to bring authenticity and humor to every scene

Requirements

• Male, age range 30–40

• All ethnicities welcome

• Must be confident going big with performance while maintaining charm

• Comfortable with improvisation and physical humor

• Ability to create emotional beats amid comedic moments

Compensation

• Wardrobe fitting: $75/2 hours

• Session fee: $600/10 hours

• Hero buyout: $3,000

• 1-year Canada all moving media usage

• Additional secondary buyout: $1,500 (based on final edit)
