Job Description
A historical medical documentary series is seeking non-union male performers for dramatic re-enactment roles. These are non-speaking background parts that will support the authenticity of the period-driven storytelling. Performers must represent diverse ethnic backgrounds and be comfortable performing in historical settings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in historical re-enactment scenes with period-appropriate wardrobe

  • Follow direction from the creative team to ensure continuity and accuracy

  • Bring authenticity and strong physical presence to non-verbal performances

Requirements

  • Male, ages 25–55

  • Must be of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, East Asian, South Asian, Southeast Asian, White, Indigenous, or Eastern European heritage

  • Non-union performers only

  • Must be available for multiple shoot dates

Compensation

  • $250 per day (includes travel allowance to Dundas, Ontario)

  • Filming scheduled across multiple days

Casting Call: Thrash Metal Talent for Documentary Series

A new documentary series is seeking non-union performers for a featured episode in production. Titled Into The Void, this episode explores the underground thrash metal scene and its cultural roots. The production is casting multiple roles and looking for real musicians, look-alikes, and individuals who embody the spirit of the scene.

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray band members and musicians in a stylized documentary segment

  • Perform or mime playing thrash metal guitar (if cast as musician)

  • Participate in filmed interviews or reenactment-style scenes

  • Collaborate with creative team to bring authenticity to character portrayals

Requirements

  • Must be a non-union performer

  • Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

  • Must pay taxes in Ontario

  • Must be available for the production schedule

  • Persian and Iranian talent highly encouraged to apply (ages 18–60s)

  • Long hair or long beards preferred for visual accuracy

  • Thrash metal guitar skills are a strong plus

  • Seeking look-alikes for real-life band members

Compensation
