Casting Call: Extraordinary Individuals Living with Degenerative Diseases for International Project in New Zealand

Job Detail: We are conducting a nationwide casting in the US for an extraordinary individual living with any stage of a degenerative disease or condition that may potentially lead to Dysphonia (loss of speech/slurred speech). This paid project involves filming internationally in the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand.

Job Responsibilities: Selected individuals will have the opportunity to share their unique health journey and how their life has been impacted since being diagnosed with a condition causing Dysphonia. This project aims to capture the essence of your story as a special gift to your loved ones.

Requirements:

  • Must be living with any stage of a degenerative disease or condition leading to Dysphonia.
  • Must have a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of the departure date.

Compensation Details:

  • This is a non-union project.
  • Selected individuals will receive payment for their participation.
  • All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for the selected individual.
  • If the selected individual requires a caretaker or companion to travel with them, the caretaker will also receive compensation in the form of a per diem, along with First Class Tickets and covered hotel and travel accommodations to New Zealand. The caretaker will not be on camera.

  • Must be near Auckland, Northland, or Christchurch, or be willing to travel

  • Must be available for the filming window

  • A clean criminal record is required due to background checks

  • Must apply through the official link

  • No DMs or direct message submissions accepted

Compensation

  • Adults in a solo scene or with another person: $3000 (minus tax) each

  • Adults in a group scene of 3 or more: $2000 (minus tax) each

  • Children/teens ages 1–18: $1000 (minus tax) each

  • Content will air on TV, online platforms, social media, and in cinemas for 1 year

  • No payment for auditions
