NANA is a sensitive short film led by a recent graduate and is ideal for emerging filmmakers, film students, and early-career crew members looking to gain hands-on set experience, portfolio material, and festival credits. This is a collaborative production with limited shooting days and a supportive creative environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support production needs within your assigned department

  • Collaborate closely with a small creative team on set

  • Assist with setup, execution, and wrap during production days

  • Contribute creatively and professionally to a narrative-focused short film

Requirements

  • Open to non-union crew members

  • Reliable, communicative, and respectful on set

  • Available for a one-weekend shoot

  • Local to Northern California preferred

  • Crew positions available include:

    • Director of Photography / Camera

    • 1st Assistant Director

    • Gaffer / Grip

    • Sound Mixer / Boom Operator

    • Production Designer

    • Hair, Makeup & Wardrobe

    • Production Assistant

    • Studio Teacher (California-certified required)

Compensation

  • Film credits (festival submissions and IMDb)

  • Meals provided

  • Honorarium stipend ranging from $100–$250 per day, depending on role

Job Responsibilities

  • Fabricate custom displays, scenic elements, cabinetry, and branded environments

  • Build from drawings, blueprints, renderings, and shop plans

  • Work with wood, MDF, plastics, composites, laminates, and light metal

  • Operate industrial shop equipment safely and efficiently

  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and fabrication teams

  • Maintain high-quality standards while meeting tight deadlines

  • Support on-site installation and dismantle of displays when required

Requirements

  • Background in finish carpentry, cabinetry, or trade show fabrication

  • Experience operating shop equipment including:

    • Table saws

    • Panel saws

    • Routers

    • Laminating equipment

  • Strong understanding of measurements, math, and precision layout

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings

  • High attention to detail

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and on a team

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed

  • Metal fabrication and welding experience is a plus

Compensation

  • $31–$35 per hour

  • Overtime opportunities

  • Potential for permanent position conversion

  • Hands-on experience in experiential marketing fabrication
