This is a one-of-a-kind in-home shoot where your space will be transformed into a fully immersive, interactive light and sound experience. The campaign aims to celebrate resilience and humor by spotlighting real families and their quirky or inspiring household stories. Whether it’s a funny disaster or an uplifting comeback, this shoot brings storytelling into your own home — no acting experience required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Share a memorable household moment, from funny disasters to family triumphs

  • Participate in an in-home production experience, including a full-day shoot

  • Be yourselves on camera—no acting required, just natural reactions

  • Host the film crew in your home (which will be temporarily reimagined)

  • Invite up to 10 family members or friends to participate on shoot day

Requirements

  • Must currently be a Mercury customer

  • Household must be based in Auckland (renters and owners welcome)

  • Home does not need to be fancy—just safe and suitable for filming

  • Open to all family types: solo, blended, extended, LGBTQIA+, or multigenerational

  • Must be comfortable relocating to a hotel for up to 3 days before and 1 day after filming (covered by production)

Compensation

  • Household: $15,000 NZD (up to 6 people), less tax

  • Additional location fee for temporary use and redecoration of your home

  • Hotel accommodation costs covered during prep and post-filming days

  • Friends and family participating:

    • Adults: $1,500 NZD each, less tax

    • Children: $500 NZD each, less tax
