Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute engaging exhibitions and related programs in collaboration with staff, guest curators, artists, and creatives.
  • Curate a portion of the gallery’s program calendar with a focus on diversity, innovation, and community relevance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with the university, local communities, and various organizations to support sustainable programming and robust partnerships.
  • Serve as a key resource for the gallery’s residency programs, ensuring they align with our mission and contribute to the gallery’s success.
  • Contribute to the creation of an inclusive and equitable environment, facilitating a culture of open exchange and appreciation of diverse ideas and practices.

Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of curatorial experience in an art gallery or museum setting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing exhibitions and public programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proficiency in engaging a variety of audiences.
  • A strong network within the arts community and a track record of successful partnership building.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of gallery programming and practices.
