Job Description
A Toronto-based production company is seeking two Film Talent Scouts to help identify and recruit filmmakers across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) for future opportunities with established YouTube channels. This remote, part-time role is ideal for well-connected producers, fixers, and film industry professionals who have strong ties to Toronto’s filmmaking community.
The selected talent scouts will assist in building a large roster of directors, shooters, editors, writers, and multi-skilled filmmakers for upcoming hiring initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Scout and identify talented filmmakers within the GTA.
- Create and manage Google Forms and applicant tracking systems.
- Post opportunities in online groups and social media communities.
- Conduct outreach through emails, direct messages, and industry contacts.
- Network with local filmmakers, film students, and recent graduates.
- Collect contact information, portfolios, and application materials.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
- Generate and organize potential leads throughout the scouting period.
Requirements
- Based within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
- Strong connections within Toronto’s film community preferred.
- Experience as a producer, fixer, talent scout, recruiter, or industry professional is beneficial.
- Understanding of YouTube filmmaking and short-form content production.
- Ability to identify filmmakers skilled in writing, directing, shooting, and editing.
- Strong communication, networking, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Previous scouting experience is preferred but not required.
Compensation Details
- $500 CAD guaranteed base pay.
- Remote, part-time opportunity.
- Flexible schedule with no set working hours.
