Māori Te Reo Speakers for Kupu X Production
Job Description: CNA Casting is seeking confident te reo Māori speakers for an exciting new production with Whakaata Māori. We are looking for individuals who can embody the roles naturally and bring authenticity to the screen. No previous acting experience is necessary, but confidence in your ability to deliver lines and take direction is key.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young Māori actors to gain experience in a professional production setting while promoting te reo Māori through storytelling.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform in scripted scenes for a Māori-language production.
- Deliver lines confidently in te reo Māori.
- Work closely with the director and follow instructions on set.
- Collaborate with other cast members to ensure a cohesive and compelling performance.
- Commit to rehearsals and filming schedules as required.
Requirements:
- Wahine toa: Screen age 18 – 20 years, must be confident in te reo Māori.
- Tane toa: Screen age 20 – 22 years, must be fluent in te reo Māori (E Matatau i te reo).
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
- Prior acting experience is not required, but applicants should be enthusiastic and confident on camera.
