We have a growing animation department that creates original kids programming. Our youtube channels for Kids Learning Tube and Kids Learning Videos have millions of subscribers and views.

Position Summary

Electric Monster is seeking associate creative producers to join our team. You are smart, ingenious with creative solutions, and meticulous with research. This role is a part of the Creative Department reporting to the head of creative, but temporarily reports to the Post-Production Supervisor. This role would guide creative for our growing team of illustrators, assistant animators, and animators. This position leads creatively on our original content and brainstorms song/episode ideas in collaboration with the strategy department. This role will greenlight ideas into production, give direction to songwriters, review lyrics, and visualize them with input from the Strategy and Creative Department for input on the format. Also, consult with the Post-Production department to ensure the scope of the animation is feasible with deadlines. Develop creative briefs for the animation team. Review various stages of the animation to ensure the vision is adhered to. This is a Full-Time freelance role with potential for staff.

This role is a great fit for someone who wants to take the lead and turn songs into engaging animations for kids’ programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with the Strategy department to identify song subjects then communicates clear direction to the songwriters and gives notes on lyrics and music.
  • General support and assistance for the animation team
  • Manage all tracking as production iterates; includes keeping detailed notes as we update and organize scripts, audio, and design documents
  • Tracking animation episodes from start to finish, ensuring lyrics, music, illustrations, assemblies, and cuts fit the vision.
  • Working with Creative Production and Post Production Supervisor hit creative brief deadlines
  • Communicates notes on videos to ensure the creative vision outlined in the Breakdown Document
  • Support the animation department with the creation, revision, and maintenance of all production documents including the strategy lead programming calendar, creative briefs for episodes, lyric scripts;
  • Maintain excellent relationships with vendors and outside resources.
  • Assist the Creative department, Strategy team, and Post Supervisor in order to complete all aspects of creative decisions for animation.
  • Maintain workflow of the animation department.
  • Assist with music selections; and handle file deliveries with sound designer
  • Test and analyze content for quality assurance

Position Requirements

  • A clear understanding of language and the creative process around music and animation composition.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Google Drive
  • Enjoyment and understanding of YouTube culture, internet culture, kids programming, animation, etc.
  • Understands the pacing of kids programming and various formats
  • Meticulous research skills in order to make content accurate and educational
  • Knowledge of 2d illustration and 2d animation workflows for fully animated series
  • Ability to visualize scripts for animation in 2d
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Takes feedback well and continually adapts to changing needs
  • Has the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
  • Is personable, fun-loving, and professional
  • Data management of files in google drive and coordination of files to the team.
  • Doing quality control checks on frame io links being shared
  • Tracking all song deliverables and providing access to the Coordinator
  • Ensuring all files are properly named and labeled
  • Work in illustrator; knowledge of photoshop is a plus

A new production is assembling a skilled and reliable film crew across multiple cities for upcoming shoots. Roles are open for Production Assistants, Camera Operators with drone experience, and Audio Technicians. This is a great opportunity to join a professional team and contribute to a dynamic, creative set environment. Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the production team to execute shoot-day operations

  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of gear, locations, and production zones

  • Operate cameras or drones to capture high-quality footage (Cam Ops)

  • Record clean, crisp audio on set using professional equipment (Audio Techs)

  • Maintain a professional, on-time presence throughout production days

Requirements

  • Previous on-set experience in your applied role

  • Ability to travel to one of the listed production cities

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude

  • For Cam Ops: drone experience and access to drone kit

  • For Audio Techs: own audio kit

Compensation

  • Production Assistant: $220/12

  • Camera Operator/Drone: $650/12 + $150 drone kit fee

  • Audio Technician: $650/12 + $300 kit fee
