The Legal Assistant maintains a close professional relationship with attorneys and manages their day-to-day activities. Candidates must reside in California!
JOB SUMMARY
The Legal Assistant:
provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor;
prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents;
schedules medical appointments;
proofreads documents for spelling and grammar;
organizes and maintains files;
screens telephone calls and visitors;
reads and responds to mail.
Skills & Experience
Requirements:
high school diploma or equivalent;
ABA-approved paralegal certificate OR Bachelor’s Degree;
at least two years’ of workers’ compensation experience;
strong written and oral communication;
highly organized;
MS Word proficiency;
type 50 wpm;
demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality.
