Job Description
As a Media Producer, you will be part of the team that creates video productions to support the mission of Rootworks, to empower and inspire accounting firms. Rootworks values video in delivering industry-leading content across multiple platforms including the Rootworks website and online learning platform, social media, online and onsite events, email campaigns and recurring series, including podcasts and interviews with industry experts. Interactions and responsibilities are as follows:
- Work with Senior Media Developer to develop video content that is consistent with the company brand
- Record and edit video and audio for various productions including podcasts, member testimonials, event promotion, explainer videos and educational content
- Support audio and video technical needs for online and onsite events
Professional Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams
- Experience in motion graphics is a plus
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently to meet expectations and deadlines
Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in video and audio production
- Experience in video production software including Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Rootworks operates on the existing tech stack: MacOS, Salesforce, Basecamp, Slack, Zoom, Adobe Creative Cloud

Additional Notes
Because of the nature of this position, being in the Bloomington office will be required for certain media productions. You will be notified of in-office productions with at least one day’s notice. You can choose to work from home or in the office for pre-production and post-production work.

Compensation

Production Assistant: $220/12

Camera Operator/Drone: $650/12 + $150 drone kit fee
