We’re looking for a seasoned hands-on Art Director that can help contribute to original IP at a growing new studio within the NetEase Games family.
Qualified candidates will come from a concept art background and have a deep history doing previz work for games in addition to managing and leading artists.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the core game design team to iterate on concepts and help develop the visual language of a new game
- Serve as a core member of the creative leadership of the studio
- Be able to generate concept illustration for the purposes of developing and iterating on initial game concepts, in addition to helping create and define worlds/environments across a variety of genres
- Provide feedback to each artist on the team through the use of concept art, reference art, 3D mockups, and paint-overs to ensure a consistent visual style across the game at the highest level of quality
- Mentor, manage and help a high team of high performing artists do the best work of their careers
- Establish processes for the game art production and participate in the broader game art industry as a functional leader at the company
Requirements:
- Proficiency in working across a variety of stylized art styles
- Previous experience as an Art Director with several noteable shipped titles
- A strong portfolio of 2D concept work showcasing environment, character, and event concepts
- Prior career experience as a profession concept artist in games
- Experience managing and developing artists in a game production environment
- An online portfolio of recent work to share
