Job Description
The Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) HR team in Los Angeles is looking for a Human Resources Manager responsible for providing day-to-day HR support at all levels, operates as a global strategic thought partner and offer input into organization design, manage employee relations issues, ensure a robust talent pipeline, facilitate performance management, and all other HR initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with HR Director to develop and drive the global people strategy by developing and executing on various HR initiatives across UP&E.
- Operate as a business partner providing HR guidance/expertise and demonstrating deep understanding in HR practices, the business operations, and other related areas (ex: coaching and management, organizational design, employee engagement, etc.)
- Manage the execution of key HR initiatives, including performance management, organization planning, compensation planning, and learning and development
- Partner closely with leaders to manage strategic initiatives for UP&E, including: employee engagement, retention, compensation, employee relations matters, and organizational structuring, career development & diversity programs.
- Be a values and culture champion. Support the development of a culture that ‘thinks global and acts local’, as well as drives DE&I efforts ensuring a culture where every employee can thrive and encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities.
- Coach Managers on leadership development to create an empowered workforce
- Provide coaching to employees & managers, offering feedback and advice on issues in a proactive and compassionate manner
- Responsible for attraction, retention, development and organization design across UBD and broader Universal Parks & Resorts organization.
- Partner with NBCU HR community to work collaboratively across HR matrix and wider HR agenda in a productive, team-oriented way
- Manage performance, corrective action and integrity issues in collaboration with Legal and Labor Relations
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or related field is a plus.
- 5+ years working within the HR function (3 years as a generalist is desirable), or a combination of education and other relevant experience
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast paced, high change environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with HR information systems, such as SAP
Salary Range: $85,000 – $110,000; bonus eligible

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects. This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills. They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
- Color grading at intermediate level.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
- Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
- Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
- Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
- Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
- Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
- Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
- Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
- Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
- Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
- Strong video resume required. This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.
