NBCUniversal is looking for a Manager of Primary Research within the Peacock Insights team to design, execute and report on primary research and user experience insights.
This individual will be a critical player within the Insights team tasked with implementing projects from design to delivery. In this role, you will be supporting the Vice President of Primary Research and working with stakeholders across the org to design primary research supporting their strategic objectives.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IS
A researcher ready to have an impact and help the organization best understand Peacock subscribers and prospects. You should have experience with quantitative and qualitative primary research techniques (including user experience/usability research), stewarding projects from design through delivery, and uncovering actionable insights.
What We Need From You
- To be genuinely curious, smart and motivated; ready to solve stakeholder problems through creative research design
- To contribute to the design of qualitative and quantitative research initiatives that support internal objectives, including writing surveys, managing survey fielding, analyzing banners & crosstabs, writing discussion guides, qualitative moderation, etc.
- To offer yourself as a resource on all things primary research to clients and peers alike
- To understand your stakeholders’ business objectives and craft the best research design to help achieve them
- To establish relationships with key internal clients, operating as a reliable partner in achieving their objectives
- To discover the story in the data through thoughtful and robust analysis
- To help oversee large strategic UX/usability studies in support of the Product teams
- To work closely with the Product teams to help them design and report smaller scale tactical UX/usability studies
- To work with and manage research vendors to ensure adherence to industry best practices, stated timelines, contracted deliverables and high data quality
- To be an effective presenter and clear communicator
- And most importantly, to live the values of collaboration and teamwork, operating as a partner within the Peacock Insights team and supporting key clients

Salary Range: $85,000 – $105,000
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred in a relevant field (Business, Market Research, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, etc)
- Experience in the TV or entertainment fields
- 3-4 years’ experience in research, managing the design and completion of complex projects
- 1-2 years’ experience in UX/usability research
- Client side or supplier-side experience as part of a research team
- Experience conducting UX research using remote application platforms, prototype testing, lab-based user testing, etc.
- Statistics knowledge and experience; ability to understand advanced multivariate analysis and articulate to stakeholders
- Proven collaboration and interpersonal skills including past success managing clients/stakeholders and vendors
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with statistical analysis tools like SPSS and/or SAS preferred
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite
