Job Description

The Corporate and Community Affairs Director for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises will work with the Vice President of Corporate and External Affairs on projects related to partnerships (national foundations, non-profits, community events, civic engagement).

Job Duties

  • Develop strategies to partner and work with national foundations.
  • Create and manage employee engagement and volunteer opportunities.
  • Manage Philanthropic activities with partners
  • Promote of Telemundo’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and brands, working closely with multiple internal departments and external partners.
  • Manage Corporate Social Responsibility strategy and implementation.
  • Liaise and partner with NBCU, Comcast teams to manage cross company promotions and presence at events.
  • Manage external digital and social presence, and engagement of corporate affairs initiatives.
  • Work with digital partnerships team for sponsored content and programs.
  • Oversee and execute contractual sponsorship agreements.
  • Manage department’s budget as required.
  • Create presentations, reports, dashboards, and other business reports.
  • Supervise and mentor interns and NBCUniversal Pages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of and contacts within National Philanthropic Foundations, funding opportunities and mechanisms.
  • Experience with Grant research, proposal writing and donor relations.
  • Excellent writing skills with strong detail to grammar and proofreading.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field and a minimum 7 years of experience in Community Affairs, Public Relations, Public Affairs or Corporate Philanthropy role.
  • Strong planning, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be fluent in Spanish (speak, read & write)

Desired Characteristics

  • Established relationships among National Foundations and donor relations.
  • Experience with cause-related marketing campaigns
  • Meticulous project management

Additional Requirements
