As Dickies Senior Art Director, you will help develop and apply the global marketing strategy in all content production. You will formulate concepts, execute and design against them for ad campaigns in print, film, OOH, and social/digital. To deliver high quality performance, intimate working knowledge of the brand and market(s) is expected. You will bring fluency and expertise in graphic design skill sets such as creating visual concepts and storytelling, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and engage with our consumers. You will have oversight to the creative process of developing aesthetics for categories and branding for events. Fresh thinking is highly expected, and we will support you to do the best work of your career. On a regular basis, you will work with your counterparts in Marketing and Product, translating the approved concepts to reality, both physical and digital. It is essential that you bring your expertise to select photographers and creative partners for projects.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Partner with Sr. Creative Director to establish campaign creative strategies, direction & content development while bringing our Creative Vision to life.
  • Inform/drive creative alignment on best practices in campaign creative, product marketing and seasonal marketing storytelling.
  • Oversees studio to iterate approved concepts.
  • You will own multiple projects and develop an ongoing, multi-season campaign, including:
  • Directing commercial film shoots and managing film production
  • Leading digital production with internal team and external partners
  • Leading photo shoots, both location and tabletop, including prep, styling, and editing
  • Drive high-output (best in class) clear creative direction with internal and external partners in a consistent brand voice and tone.
  • Drive best in class seasonal brand campaigns, celebrating the innovative DNA of our brand, its rich workwear heritage and authentic connection with our makers
  • Convey complex information and persuade several diverse stakeholders / audiences often across multiple channels.
  • Facilitate cross functional alignment on key campaign launch moments and seasonal business priorities in market as appropriate.
  • Be a true creative expert, focused on holistic, product-driven narratives thathighlight our innovation and everything great that enables makers to do the things we love, while elevating seasonal product collections
  • Partner with marketing counterparts, reviewing and developing creative briefs to assure alignment and drive production strategy.
  • Drive ongoing creative partnership with Brand Marketing to maximize long-term potential of seasonal content and story flow(s).
  • Drive cross functional efficiencies and effective brand marketing engagement to optimize internal / external resourcing.

Skills for Success

Years of Related Professional Experience: 5+ years professional experience including proven track record of design, photography, and videography production experience in an agency setting or design department is required.

Educational Position Requirements: A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

  • Demonstrated success as a conceptual thinker that understands complex issues and how to drive new concepts and creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in brand marketing experiences leading fully integrated brand campaigns and establishing best in class consumer experiences, product launches,
  • collaboration and break through consumer activations.
  • Deep consumer culture experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and inspire a broad range of individuals (both in-person and remotely) to work towards a common goal.
  • Established concept visualization experience preferred.
  • Digital experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects.Ā  This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills.Ā  They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for maintaining the company’s production assets and working with the department production calendar so that equipment is ready for each project.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.
  • Work with Production team to build sets for production needs.
  • Assist with general duties.
  • Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
  • Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
  • Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
  • Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
  • Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
  • Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
  • Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
  • Color grading at intermediate level.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
  • Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
  • Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
  • Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
  • Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
  • Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
  • Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
  • Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
  • Strong video resume required.Ā  This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.

  • 25-30%
