Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

* The Front Desk Manager will carry out all daily shift operations of the Front Office department.

* Provide leadership, training and shift flow management while coaching front desk agents and supervisors.

* Create proactive hiring plans and assist in hourly interviews.

* Provide the highest quality of service to guests and ensure associates do the same. Will act as an ambassador of our establishment

* Perform hands-on duties as needed and be responsible for tasks such as financials, payroll, scheduling, etc.

What You’ll Bring

* Prior leadership or supervisory experience and any experience with the specific brand hotel or upscale property is a bonus!

* A passion for service with a positive, can-do attitude

* The desire to develop and coach associates and create an environment for your team to thrive.

* Ability to creatively problem solve and execute against the strategy and deliver results.

Who We Are

This position is based at our Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Magnificent Mile in Chicago, IL.

White Lodging develops and operates a portfolio of award-winning, premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars and restaurants in some of the country’s best cities to live. We know that the hospitality business, like life, is how you make people feel. That’s where you come in. You’ll help bring the virtue of hospitality to life while we create an environment that allows you to be your best self and grow. The primary goal of this position is to work with the other members of the Human Resources staff in accomplishing the goals of the Human Resources office. These goals include adequate, well-suited staffing in the hotel, increased retention, and the protection of company assets.

What You’ll Do and What You’ll Bring

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ensures compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
  • Payroll is accurate and timely.
  • Benefits enrollments communicated and submitted on time Effective day-one orientation.
  • Effective training and programming to improve engagement and reduce turnover.
  • Timely training completion (hourly certifications and management flight plans.)
  • First rate candidate experience as measured in ATS Dashboard.
  • Effective and timely interviewing and hiring process.
  • Low number of open positions
  • Focus on recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse talent.
  • Effective relationships with CBOs and local schools.
  • Timely processing of changes in RISE (payrate changes, position transfers, terminations, etc.)
  • Excellent 3rd party vendor relationships

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Carry out dynamic associate relations events.
  • Resourceful.
  • Ability to lead difficult or uncomfortable conversations.
  • System SME and trainer of – HireRight, Equifax, RISE, Paradox, Kronos
  • Champion of the company and our associates.
  • Clear understanding of operations and how the business model works.
  • Positive associate relations mindset
  • Effective implementation and campaign oversight
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships Hospitality experience preferred.

Hybrid Role – Must be able to commute to corporate office in Merrillville, Indiana at least two times a week.

  • Provide administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer and their staff.
  • Provide administrative project support to the Talent Management Team
  • Assist with Associate Engagement Activities for the Corporate Office.
  • Partner across the organization to ensure Human Resources tasks are completed in a high-quality and timely manner.

What You’ll Bring

  • Prior Executive Assistant experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient at MS Office suite
  • Professional discretion
  • Positive can-do attitude
