Public Relations Account Manager (5-8 years exp)

WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

An experienced public relations professional with 5-8 years agency experience and a passion for storytelling, account leadership and a proven track record in generating earned media coverage. Interest or experience in automotive, off-road, or moto is a plus. Openings currently in our Costa Mesa, Calif. or Atlanta offices.

SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Proven experience leading day-to-day activation of multiple account client relationships and internal account teams.
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor, and motivate account teams to produce quality work and challenge them by providing growth opportunities.
  • A relentless drive to produce media coverage and secure meaningful feedback
  • A fearlessness to pitch any reporter or outlet (when armed with an appropriate pitch).
  • The savvy to adapt your story to each reporter and outlet through proper research.
  • Proficient with the internet and social media channels as a tool to gather relevant information on media outlets, reporters, and current events in the quest to generate media coverage for clients.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Willingness to lean into collaboration and communication within a team environment.
  • Ability to work across multiple clients and industries.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet multiple client needs simultaneously.
  • Sensibility to properly merchandise coverage.
  • Curiosity to follow industry trends and the creativity to apply them to your clients’ brands.
  • May require some travel.

Influencer Marketing Manager (Auto & Off-Road Industry Experience Preferred)

The Brand Amp, a leading PR and Marketing agency now has an opening in for a manager level influencer marketing executive in our Costa Mesa office. Candidates with significant automotive &/or off-road vehicle experience are preferred, but savvy and experienced marketers should also apply. The Brand Amp is looking for a full-time Influencer Marketing Manager, especially those with a passion for the auto, off-road, hunting or overlanding categories. Once hired, the executive will also play a broader creative role within the agency’s multi-faceted business. The influencer marketing efforts will include working with truck, tire, overland and off-road athletes and influencers, as well as mainstream social-media influencers and celebrities with an interest in various verticals.

The Influencer Marketing Manager is a client-facing position that is responsible for working within a team structure to develop strategy, managing programs, procuring influencers, and providing ongoing counsel. This position will manage accounts and influencer team support staff, working very closely with the internal PR, social media, event & content teams. The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to multi-task and independently problem-solve in a fast-paced environment, while meeting tight deadlines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop influencer marketing strategies & programs for key clients
  • Demonstrate a high level of savvy and thoughtfulness with clients
  • Establish goals and objectives, along with key success metrics for each program
  • Identify authentic target influencer profiles in key categories & deliverables to drive client success
  • Effectively evaluate and communicate an influencer’s potential fit with a brand
  • Lead research efforts to identify authentic influencer candidates
  • Oversee outreach, thoughtful negotiation, and procurement of influencers
  • Management of all influencer deliverables
  • Development of weekly and monthly reporting
  • Identify influencer opportunities to be leveraged with other business units
  • Understanding & enforcement of proper FTC disclosures
  • Stay on top of industry trends & PR/social media advancements

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Agency Experience: 5+ years of influencer marketing experience at a PR or social media marketing agency
  • Strategy Development: Proven success in developing impactful influencer programs & reporting success
  • Influencer Outreach: Significant experience identifying, contracting, securing & managing macro, mid-tier and micro influencers for consumer-facing national brands to leverage across branded video content and social platforms
  • Trends: Possess a forward-looking understanding of current/upcoming trends, pop culture nuances, and emerging social conversations to inform the development of culturally relevant talent and influencer marketing campaigns within the off-road and automotive spaces
  • Social Media: Robust understanding of social media platforms & analytics
  • Writing & Communication: Must have strong written & verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively both externally with clients & internally with peers
  • Self-Starter: Ability to stay one step ahead of the client while thriving independently in a fast-paced & deadline-driven environment
  • Creativity: Imagination to brainstorm new creative approaches to influence and ideate new strategies to meet the changing needs of the marketplace in order to help clients reach their target audience
  • Organization: Ability to handle multiple campaigns for several clients simultaneously, while maintaining quality of work as part of a fast-paced, integrated team

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the reasonable pay range for this specific position in CA is $80,000-95,000 annually.   • But open to those with an automotive, or motorsports interest with applicable understanding of powersports culture

Strong content creation instincts and skills.

  • We are not necessarily looking for a photographer or videographer. But knowledge of quality photography and/or videography and having a sharp eye for what makes a good shot is certainly valuable to this position.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work and collaborate well in a team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work as a community manager for specific motorcycle industry clients, working under the management of a senior social media supervisor
  • Manage the day-to-day client interaction and act as primary liaison between client and internal/external team members
  • This includes developing strategies and tactics to support specific products and product launches, brand campaigns, events and brand-oriented lifestyle content platforms.
  • Plan, curate. manage and measure social media channels for specific clients.
  • Ensure social media strategy and tactics are aligned to clients’ business goals and objectives.
  • Work on multiple projects with varying deadlines, while adhering to specific agency processes and procedures
  • Exercise an ability to follow-through on projects and drive them to completion, strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills
  • Think creatively and outside the box to create campaigns and strategies for multiple brands that go beyond just a singular social post
  • Work with the internal creative team to develop dynamic social content for a range of initiatives (ex: events, photoshoots, campaigns, recaps, etc.)
  • Contribute to team brainstorms as well as assist in special projects and administrative assignments as needed
  • Monitor trends in social media technology, tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing client direction, goals and deadlines
  • Travel for company/client as needed
  • Other duties as needed

What Qualifies You:

  • Experience, expertise and genuine personal interest in motorcycles and motorcycle culture, with an emphasis in on-road, V-twin motorcycles.
  • Interest in, experience with, or significant knowledge about content creation, photography and/or videography
  • Interest in social media and understanding of premium brands presence and strategies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written presentation abilities
  • Knowledge of all first-party organic and paid social platform features and functions, as well as Google Analytics, Sprout Social and Julius a plus
