We’re searching for a Senior Manager of Communications to join our dynamic North America Service Business team (NASB). The way consumers connect, discover the world, and seek news and entertainment is changing every day. While Samsung’s world-class hardware creates the foundation, it is software and services that keep consumers engaged daily. Products like Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Gaming Hub, Art Store, Samsung News and Galaxy Store are bringing ‘everyday extraordinary’ to millions of consumers across the globe. This role will elevate the awareness of Samsung’s portfolio of services and shape how media, consumers, advertisers and partners perceive them. This position will be based in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of Communications will develop and execute comprehensive B2C communications strategies for Samsung’s services business and executive leadership. This individual will report into the Head of Communications & Events to support all key strategic partnerships and proprietary services across TV and mobile, including but not limited to: Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Gaming Hub, Samsung News, Galaxy Store and Art Store on The Frame. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams across global offices to support business objectives.

This communications leader will:

  • Direct all strategic B2C initiatives to increase brand awareness and credibility of our Samsung Services for consumers, advertisers and partners.
  • Set key performance metrics on an annual basis and diligently track ongoing progress, with the goal of accelerating meaningful growth YoY.
  • Draft executive keynotes, press announcements, executive quotes, blogposts and more.
  • Oversee marketing communications for brand consistency via social media channels, email/newsletter distribution, as well as internal employee communications.
  • Partner with the creative director to develop rich media kits (press images, videos, logos).
  • Foster strong relationships with key reporters across business, consumer and tech press, with the ability to create bespoke media lists for each service.
  • Increase visibility for senior leadership by identifying, securing and executing speaking opportunities, background briefings, and 1:1 interviews.
  • Manage multiple external PR agencies across different verticals and areas of expertise.
  • Work with the analytics team to source relevant performance metrics and craft a narrative around those numbers.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in PR/communications with a deep knowledge of consumer, tech and business media. Agency experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Proven track record for developing and executing comprehensive PR strategies.
  • Extensive understanding of the OTT landscape and competitive TV/mobile ecosystems.
  • Executive presence, with the ability to influence and provide counsel to leadership.
  • Experience creating and presenting strategy plans and recap decks to track performance towards goals. Must have proficiency in deck creation and design.
  • Experience with risk mitigation and corporate reputation management.

The Samsung global services team is responsible for driving Smart TV and mobile services businesses by building intelligent, integrated, cross-platform services that delight and entertain users.

Samsung TV Plus is Samsung’s direct-to-consumer OTT video service featuring ad-supported linear channels and ad-supported VOD. In the US, TV Plus launched in April 2018 and is currently available on 2016-23 model Samsung Smart TVs, recent Galaxy mobile devices, and more.

At Samsung TV Plus UX team, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer with a strong focus on visual design to join our multidisciplinary design team. You will help define the vision for the service with ownership over critical features that shape the viewer experience. This role requires utilizing design systems and understanding service brand architecture to drive UI/UX solutions ensuring coherent branded experiences across Samsung devices. You will be responsible for creating innovative, user-centered solutions for our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, researchers, engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver exceptional user experiences. Your expertise in design thinking, interaction design, and visual design will be crucial in driving product success and creating visually appealing user experience.

Responsibility:

  • Lead the end-to-end design process, from ideation and concept development to final execution on detailed design specification, ensure a user-centered approach throughout.

  • Crete wireframes, user flows, basic prototypes, and visually stunning designs that effectively communicate design concepts, interaction and brand identity.

  • Partner and coordinate with product team, designers, and engineers to conceptualize and build visually appealing user interfaces.

  • Work with UX researchers to design and observe user studies, then translate user needs and research findings into final design solutions

  • Contribute to high-level concepts and executive reviews but also pitch in on detail-level design work

  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data-driven insights to continuedly improve product experience.

  • Provide design guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design culture.

  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools and techniques, and proactively apply them to enhance the design process and deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Qualifications:

· Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field with an emphasis in Visual Design.

· 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer for consumer products with an expectational foundation in interaction design, visual design system, typography, and graphic design

· Solid design experience on cross devices, preferably in the 10ft UI devices

· Have experience leading/contributing to multiple consumer products from concept to execution

· Have an incredible eye for detail and have high standards for visual craftsmanship.

· Highly proficient in all applicable design software (Sketch, Figma, Cinema 4D Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, and Principle)

· Ability to manage and lead multiple projects, prioritize different tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver high quality work on schedule

· Ability to use qualitative and quantitative data to drive design decisions.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and senior leaderships.

  • Has strong background in working with a design system to optimize product implementation

  • An exceptional design portfolio is required to be considered for this position. Candidate should showcase work demonstrating impactful consumer product design solutions. The portfolio should be well-versed and clearly articulate user problems, and the final design solution

  • Leadership skills and the ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers.

Job Description;

  • Own and deliver daily, weekly, monthly business reports and dashboards supporting Sales, Finance, and Executive management via automation tools and language (Domo, SFDC, QSL, Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Build, maintain, and monitor key KPI dashboards
  • Assist with the development of existing and new reporting tools and resources
  • Streamline the current reporting process to drive improved yield management insights
  • Consistently analyze partner performance, optimize as necessary, assist Programmatic Sales with partner insights and deals.
  • Help determine inventory value through pricing analysis, revenue modeling, and user behavior analysis
  • Build compelling data visualizations to communicate data-driven insight
  • Guide development of data models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new strategies around content acquisitions, deals, inventory management, and audience segmentation
  • Work internally with yield, operations and business development to implement new yield solutions
  • Maintain partner connections to centralized programmatic reporting interface
  • Evaluate and analyze sales data regularly across all programmatic partners and various ad stacks
  • Optimize yield strategies such as floor pricing and other tactics to ensure maximum yield and profitability

Requirements;

  • 6+ years’ work experience in advertising, digital media, finance, consulting, business, or technology
  • 2+ years of dedicated experience in a data, inventory insights, programmatic, or revenue operations role
  • Have experience with SQL and BI tools (Domo, Qlik, Tableau)
  • Motivated, data-driven, and experience working with sales and product managers
  • Deep experience with data and passion for the insights they unlock
  • Understand Salesforce and other OMS systems such as Operative One
  • Experience with ad servers such as Google Ad Manager and Freewheel
  • Experience working in high-growth, performance-focused technology environments
  • Have created strategies that promote growth, improve revenue generation, and holistic reporting on performance
  • Experience working with or implementing dashboards that measure the efficiency of pricing and inventory use.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred Finance, Economics, Math or Computer Science concentration
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel (can perform complex functions) user who is comfortable with large data sets
