Casting Call: Actor for the Role of George Lane
Job Description:
We are casting for the role of George Lane in a SAG-AFTRA micro-budget proof-of-concept project. This is a powerful character who has a history of struggles but emerges as a fearless advocate for justice. The production will shoot for one day in Savannah, GA. The project aims to raise funds for a full-length feature film.
Character Description:
George Lane is a male, early 20s to 40s, with a mobility disability (preferably a BTK leg amputee, but open to other disabilities). He is street-smart, intense, and a recovering drug addict and germophobe. His past is riddled with drug and alcohol convictions, but after being clean for a year and a half, he channels his intensity into a deep-seated sense of justice and compassion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Portray the character of George Lane, reflecting his history and emotional complexity.
- Deliver a compelling performance that brings authenticity and depth to a character who has fought through adversity.
- Collaborate closely with the director to accurately capture George’s transformation from a troubled past to a passionate advocate.
Requirements:
- Male actor, early 20s to 40s, with a mobility disability (preferably a BTK amputee, but open to other mobility disabilities).
- Ability to embody the character’s intense and fearless personality while portraying his vulnerabilities.
- Must be able to travel to Savannah, GA for the shoot (all travel expenses covered).
Compensation:
- $125/day plus all travel expenses covered (flight, hotel, per diem).
