Boston Scientific is seeking a Communications Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Urology business. The ideal candidate should exhibit a genuine passion for leadership communications and interdisciplinary storytelling. Additionally, they should possess a solid understanding of working within a regulated industry and utilizing various communication channels to effectively engage both internal and external audiences.
As an integral member of our Global Corporate Communications team, this individual will have the responsibility of spearheading strategic executive and internal communications efforts. These efforts will serve to propel our business forward, foster employee engagement, and enhance our organizational culture.
The selected candidate for this position must be willing to work in a hybrid capacity, spending 2-3 days per week on average at either our Marlborough, MA, Arden Hills, MN, or Maple Grove, MN office. This is an individual contributor position and will report directly to the Director of Corporate Communications for MedSurg.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead the evolution, execution, and measurement of the Urology president’s executive communication strategy that reaches both internal and external stakeholder audiences, with a primary focus on employee engagement.
- Lead the planning, implementation, and measurement of the Urology business unit’s overarching internal communication strategy and framework.
- In close collaboration with corporate communications and business unit colleagues, lead the development and execution of communication plans in support of Urology business priorities and critical projects, including commercial, clinical, and product milestones, M&A activities, and large-scale organizational change management efforts.
- Create written communications, presentations, scripts, talking points, and other collateral for internal audiences, as well as key external-facing leadership communications, including the development of social media editorial strategies and content.
- Serve as a counselor and trusted adviser to Urology senior leadership on messaging, communication strategies, tactics, and approach.
- Identify and drive content and process improvements for Urology executive and internal communication channels.
- Partner with corporate communications teammates to manage and support reputational issues while working with appropriate functions to counsel management on reputation/business impact and influence the decision-making process.
- Partner with corporate communications team members to identify and amplify Urology stories as part of a broader Boston Scientific narrative reaching global employees and key external audiences.
- Coordinate the cross-functional review and approval of content with marketing, clinical, legal, regulatory, and other key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or another relevant area of study.
- Minimum of 7 years of employee and leadership communications experience within a corporate or agency environment, ideally with a focus on healthcare (e.g. medical devices, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology).
- Demonstrated broad experience developing and executing strategic communications across internal and external channels focused on corporate brand reputation, business strategy, priorities, employee engagement and thought leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

About this role:
Boston Scientific’s Associate Territory Manager (ATM) is a developmental role to prepare candidates to become a Territory Manager within the Endoscopy Division. The ATM will be assigned by region to a specific territory, primarily 1-2 Territory Managers, in which there is significant potential to convert and grow the business. ATM’s will be held accountable to delivering exceptional service through team driven directives, revenue impact, clinical education needs, and execution of new business opportunities that reflect the company’s strategy and priorities. The role works collaboratively across 1-2 Territory Managers to provide support and drive sales revenue at identified accounts as directed by the Region Sales Manager. Each ATM will report directly to a Development Manager. Additionally, Associate Territory Managers may be required to work outside primary assignments as required by business conditions. This position does not guarantee a future territory assignment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build strong customer relationships through routine visits, product demonstrations, educational programs, product in-services, procedural observation, and problem resolution. Relationships will be established with Physicians, Nurses, Technicians, Materials Management, Hospital Administration, and Infection Control.
- Procedural support in an intense OR/Endoscopy unit environment daily.
- Works seamlessly with Territory Manager(s) allowing them increased selling time
- Takes on revenue generating projects and goals to support account ownership
- Work closely with Territory Managers and Region Sales Managers to evaluate business conditions and sales trends.
- Develop quarterly/annual business plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Assist in professional education activities sponsored by BSC, both on-site and field training workshops.
- Provide timely updates to Regional Manager on ongoing business activities, competitive conditions, industry trends, etc.
- Manage expense budget and promotional budget within guideline.
- Maintain accurate records of sales expenses, customer files and field sales reports required.
- Submit any required administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Conduct all sales activities according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advamed Policies, and Integrity Policies.
- Occasional weekend and evening trade show and/or meeting participation, committed travel 30-40%

- Experience using machine learning and other advanced techniques to perform the following: lead scoring, channel attribution, media-mix, next-best action modeling, and segmentation.
- Ability to travel within the US up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in marketing, statistics, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Extensive prior experience in B2B marketing, including collaboration on cross-functional projects with sales and utilizing Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce Community Cloud (healthcare preferred).
- Proficiency in using AWS for MLOps and knowledge of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) best practices.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry data and vendors such as CMS, Definitive Healthcare, IQVIA, and Komodo Health.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience presenting complex analytical and data science concepts to non-technical audiences and coaching stakeholders on advanced analytics use cases.
- Proven track record of working with and presenting to senior leadership.
